  4. BUMP.....anyone?..... would be a great project......there are some superchagers out there that suit this engine very well...or you could always go for a tt set up like this s13 silvia owner He's got front mount turbo's and a custom inlet manifold so the bonnet will shut. The manifold done: Cooler piping done: Front mount turbo's Here is a short video of the engine above started on the stand, sounds good and shoots flames 8) http://s42.photobucket.com/albums/e302/can...06_12070013.flv

Item: NISSAN VH45DE WITH IMPUL ECU Age: 1994 (was told this year when i bought it) with roughly 50k on the clock Condition: great Price: 1500 pickup/ + delivery To Fit: (What car) 300zx, skyline, silvia, patrol + more Location: Brisbane South Side Contact: feel free to pm me or reply to this thread Comments: vh45de v8 engine, all accessories inc rare impul ecu and loom Displacment: 4.5L Power: 206kW @ 6000rpm Torque: 400Nm @ 4000rpm BoreXStroke: 93x82.7mm should rev nicely Main bearings: 6 bolt mains with one piece cradle Crank: 90deg forged steel Rods: Forged steel CR: 10.2:1 Fuel: Sequential multipoint fuel injection Throttle: 90mm with tuned length intake manifold Valves: DOHC 4 valves per cylinder Ignition: Direct ignition with coil on plug Standard red line: 6900rpm Weight: 231kg i bought this engine a few months ago for 2k. i was planning to throw it into my 300zx but realised i dont have the time right now to do the project, so i sold the car and bought another one. i need the money to help with the saving for a house. These motors are unreal. they used these engines in the indy cars but for the street they have a de-tuned bottom end. these engines are popular in the US (check out nico.com). they are capable of getting huge power from stock internals and are a high revving v8 engine. Standard internals can handle over 600hp and produce some great torque figures. these engines are also used in speed boats, usually with a twin turbo set up pushing out around 900+hp
  6. hahaha lmao....the vg30dett is one of the strongest jap engines around...just look after it...like any other engine
  7. what would you know chad...you have never owned a 300zx.......ohh wait what lol
  8. just a little correction 1989–2000....so a 8-19 year old hand me down....just a side note.... 11 years of producing the same model isnt too bad i guess yes they are....the tt is not a car for everyday use, even though people use them that way...myself included...they are more of a hobby car...a sports car on the side if that makes sense? i didnt explaint hat well lol for a first and everyday car there are so many better and new cars you could get.....
  9. not wanting to start a fight here...but where did i start proclaiming gospel??? all i said was i have seen one overheat....???? where was i not being honest??? i said 'an r32' not most r32s..... ill add....yes they are prone to over heating....because of the engine bay....but not maintaining any cooling system on a sports car is going to get you into trouble...not just the 300zx...even though i have only read of about 4 cases where its happened...and the owners were the ones that posted the threads
  10. good non biased reply and of course the 300zx isnt the most perfect car in the world....but its farrrrrr from the worst and above most other cars going for the same price these days..... remember.....you get what you pay for if you pay 5k for a 300zx then of course your going to have to do some work on it.....the trick is to pay around 17k and know your going to get a great car that wont need any work done to it.....and from their just service it and you will be fine look at it this way if my mate came up to me and asked about (because this is a skyline forum ill use a skyline as an example) a skyline and i said....omg no way...stay away from them.....they are just POS....he is going to take my word for it even though all of you and i know that just isnt true... if some people dont like the 300zx then thats fine....but that doesnt mean you can use a one time negative situation and gospel as a truth. i have seen an r32 over heat....yet i didnt write that skylines overheat all the time into my book of facts
  11. if you want to read about the engine read this http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_109870/article.html the vgdett was designed and developed at the same time they did the rb26dett.....both great engines in their own right. i find it funny when people say the 300zx is a heavy boat.....seeing as how the gtr is heavier and the normal skyline is roughly the same weight and yes they are exensive to maintain...but what sports car isnt and who knows why these rumours are spread....before you said my gf read the first four post and said f this....now seriously you cant go by the first four posts alone beacsue 1. your on a skyline forum and some of the posts are bound to be biased 2. thats not really researching the car now i bet you 40 bucks that when someone asks her about the 300zx she is going to say the exact same things those four posts said...which happened to be negative sides of the car..though some of the comments hold true...like the tight engine bay......but his is how these rumours spread... and seriously...the guy that ran out of petrol....ahahahah lmao ahahah how can you not see that him having to ring up his parents because he ran out of fuel is his fault.....who cant see a low fuel warning light....and that light comes on when there is 15L left in the tank....plenty of time to get his ass to a servo.... remember there is a difference between knowing about a car and being 'told' about a car
