Hi, Have a set of fiberglass gaurds for sale for an R33 GTS/GTST $400 postage included anywhere in Australia. They were made by Blits bodykits and are really quite thick and much stronger than the standard metal ones. They are in white gel coat, have been prefitted and made to suit a car with wide tyres 235's and smaller. They will need a small amount of prep before they are primed and painted. I will also be listing them on ebay shortly.

I HATE SANDING WITH A PASSION!!! Blocked back first coat of primer today on the Bonnet, Sideskirts, Rear Bar and Bonnet today... Repaired metal gaurds and put them in primer and guide coated them and then gave them 2 more coats .. Tommorow i'll hopefully have everything painted. Just have to give everything a couple more coats of primer, rub it back and de nib it then time to lay basecoat and clear!. -

Yeh, unfortunatley the kit was a cheap crap chinese one that was so out of shape it wasnt funny, ovbiously been fixed now but if u see anything coated in blue, its from china and cost someone approx $35 per piece landed, so do not buy it unless you have inspected it first. I'm a bit annoyed I had to take the fiberglass gaurds off though especially as there ADR Approved, but the cars insured for $20G.. and its not worth the risk losing that much cash is something were to happen to it. I'm trying to work up the motivation to go into the garage right now and start blocking back all the parts. ... -

Gaurds are now for sale. PM me if intrested. My insurance company would not insure the car with fiberglass gaurds however the bonnet was fine. The vent in the bonnet had to go there so as it didnt leak water all over the rocker covers and go into where the coils live .. Also i will be painting the car this weekend. Am not going to be doing a full respray right at the moment however will be doing the front bar, bonnet, original gaurds, blowing through the front doors, rear bar and sideskirts. .. -

lol.. you have noticed that too? .. Anyway UPDATE: Bodyshop tried to "F*CK" me with the price, wanting an extra 2G to paint the front end only (no full respray). So as I have painted quite a few cars previously im just going to do it myself then pay for a full respray at a later stage, or perhaps just hire a booth and do it myself once again. It really pisses me off that they can quote, then put it in the too hard basket after being advised of what was being modified/replaced once sighting the car. I know there is a bit more work involved in preping fiberglass but come on $3500 for Bonnet, Front Bar, Rear Bar, Sideskirts and Rear Bar is a joke. -

Bonnet $770 From Blits Bodykits, however i do have a metal S2 one i paid i think $220 for from PanelHouse in brisbane (I needed the original for them to mould off) lights came from Japan Autos and were $389 each. Front Rio was $180, Grill was about $80. Front bar is completley different so u will need to allow $500 or so for one of those as well. -

Funnily enough this was the kit that has been on it for the previous four years that was damaged also same style as whats on my car now? I dont believe myself it looks anything like it used too, let alone your car. Below is the R33 S1 Bomex Kit from Monkey Warehouse, as you can see the front of my old bar is completely different and does not just drop away so suddenly. Trying to do a S2 Conversion and modifying that bar would have been stupid and would have looked dumb and I dont think it looks much better than the veilside. The kit in that picture is why Bomex is so hated on R33's, having that front bar on my car alone was enough to make me do this conversion. -

I dont think they look alike at all. The fronts look completley different. This has R34 Bomex Sideskirts where as yours I believe are the R33 Bomex ones, The R34 Bomex grilldidnt look right on my R33 Especially a it having a S2 conversion so was removed and replaced with a standard S2 Grill whcih has been made one peice with the front bar, it has S2 Lights and also has a full ADR Approved vented fiberglass bonnet and gaurds, also the rear bar on mine has kept the R34 Bomex Shape and has the full side pieces with both vents. I saw yours initially after some googling and I liked the idea of getting a bodykit on it that wasnt made for that series. I originally had a R33 Bomex kit for the S1 however it also was a 1 off and I could not find an exact replacement which made me decide to build a 1 off. -

Heres some more pics of it assembled today.. I'm still trying to get use to how it will look, especially once painted which should only be a week or so away as it's back at the panel shop now. -
Hi, I thought I'd give everyone a look at what I've been working on for the last 8 weeks, don't judge just quite yet as it's not quite completed and there is still a few final touch-ups and modifications that need to be done before sending the car off to paint. The story starts with me having a little front end accident. I couldn't find a replacement Bomex front bar that suited or would work with the S2 Conversion that I had already purchased parts for. The project got a little out of hand with me finding a R34 Bomex kit and deciding I wanted it on my R33. Next was the decision that I wanted a S2 Vented bonnet (which until today did not exist in Blits's product range) and a set of Vented Guards. The body repair work has already been done by Mark McHugh Bodyworks in Bundall and tomorrow they will receive the car back for paint. The body kit and bonnet fabrication was done by one of the best body kit and bonnet fabrication businesses in Australia Blits Body kits. These guys have worked tirelessly over the last month on this project making sure this car was exactly what I wanted. I have to give them a big thank you as what was initially a little project turned into a nightmare. . Below are some pictures of the build. The front bar bar had to be chopped and lengthened and the top remade out of body clay and a fiberglass mould be fabricated over the top. This was chopped in many placed to get it sitting square with the top, sides corners and many other parts needing to be modified. The side of the front bar needed to be chopped off and remade down that black line as did not line up with gaurd. Part of the leftovers . This was fun. The sides for the rear bar needed to be remade, the sideskirts had to be lengthened the ends remade and the top vent brought foward. My bonnet.. Will have mesh put in place shortly. Bomex Bar with S2 Fiberglass grill being moulded to the bar for some reason it looks a bit funny in this pic. Sideskirts ready to fit. All the parts ready to go on the car .. Apart from the gaurds ovbiously. And finally the gaurds straight out of the mould prefitted to the car. I'll get some pics up once its been painted!.

Gold Coast QLD.. As all items are fitted to the vehicle and will need to be removed. However as I will need to return the vehicle to stock i will need a few days once sale has been finalized. I've had a few PM's already about the turbo kit however looking at selling the whole kit complete first if i've had no intrest within a week ill seperate items.
