i'm not joining on the flaming, but Beast is right, keep saving, "Do it right the first time" don't waste money fiddeling at the back and setteling for peices of shit as you will Need to replace them in the future, and the money you already spent will be for nothing.
Secondly, to get a Sub to work you need an amp, a Good one at the least will cost $300+ , it doesn't sound important but it's probally the difference between a GTR and a N/A in the audio world.
Keep Saving and maybe for the time being sound GHEY and stupid but maybe an ipod, and a dock if you have one?,,,
