  1. I have GOZ14 plates for when my R32 GTR arrives
  2. I know what you mean i have been looking for the past year for a nice r32 GTR. I found one through a brisbane importer. They found me a 1994 GTR v-spec with an auction grade of 4 and interior was a B grade. Only problem with the right hand wheel arch where the owner in japan put too wide of a tyre on it and it grabbed the inner wheel arch and damaged it a bit ( no real biggie i am a panel beater so i'll fix it myself) also got a repair history on the left hand front guard. Its got a head unit in and a nismo exhaust otherwise completely standard. Get to look at it next weekend. Here are a few pictures.
  3. Not 100% sure but I have been told that the oil problem was fixed during 1992. Not sure if this is true either but the oil problem had something to do with the ceramic turbos. Can anyone confirm if thats right?
  4. If you have the space you can get a blow torch and heat the bolt up from the thread and try to remove it have done this a ton of times at work and works 99%of the time. if that doesn't work try welding a bolt onto the nut so you can hit the bolt welded to the nut with a hammer but once again only if you have enough room to do so . if you can weld a bolt to the nut be careful not to fuse the nut to the bolt that your trying to remove said nut from. hope any of this helps
  5. Got another, indicators in the guards above the GT badge, did they come standard after a certain year or do they get fitted during compliance or is there is some other reason cause some seem to have them and other don't. Thanks
  6. I got a few questions for all you R32 GTR experts, 1. I know that in 1994 the GTR's had a R33 spec engine in them so i am just wondering in which month did they change to the R33 spec engine. 2. Ceramic Turbos, i read somewhere on my travels around the internet that they changed the ceramic to steel ball bearings during 1992. 3. The bottom lip on the front bumper bar, did the bottom lip come black or did some come from factory colour coated? 4. V-spec 1, they were released in February 1993 when was the last one produced? Did they finish when the V-spec11 was released? That's all I can think of for now. Any information you can give me will be awesome. Thanks, Chris
  7. Hello could someone please fast this vin number for me. BNR32-307388. Many thanks in advance
  8. All of my finance options fell through
  9. Sure the turbos are 16 years old but won't any turbo when it get to around that age going to die within the next couple of years? Sure it's a little to much but I would pay a bit more for a car from a dealer cause they offer a warrenty on the car which I won't get with a private sale. So really what's the difference if I buy a car that has had the turbos upgraded and the car has been flogged and the turbos shit themselves within 3-5 years and if I buy this stock one and the turbos shit themselves within that time? I would much rather buy one with the standard turbos then when they do die upgrade to a better turbo then I know they will be good for quite a few years to come.
  10. I know its a little much for a 32 GTR but I don't want a modded i want a stocko cause of all the crack downs that the police are doing in queensland ATM are getting people for every little thing. I had a mate get defected and fined for something to do with the windscreen wipers. So the way I see it i'll be 20 when i can legally drive a turbo and the cops are targeting young kids with modded up cars which is a good thing in retrospect but it really messes up people like me who wants the car cause he loves the car and not just to speed, do burnouts and other stupid shit in front of his mates to make him feel big. So if I can keep it as stock as possible hopefully the cops will leave me alone. So yes your right it is a bit much but hopefully the cops would leave me alone and save money by the cops being pickie and defecting and fining me for something as trivial as wiperblades. Really Roy you are right about the whole idea of buying one off a private seller with a bit of panel damage and fix it up over the next couple of months but who knows how much the car has been flogged. But its always been a dream of mine since I started getting into the skylines to own a stock R32
  11. Not really sure if this in in the right section or not. I have been looking for a 1994 R32 GTR for about 6 months now. I have finally found one that i am really keen on. I went down to the importer yesterday and had a look around the car and started it up however couldn't take it for a test drive cause of the p plate laws in Queensland. I am an apprentice panel beater so I had a good look over all the panels for rust bubbles, flaking paint and bog. All the gaps on the bonnet, bootlid and doors are all nice and even so if there has been and major accident it has been repaired properly however I am confindant that it hasn't had one ( all the sealer look oringinal ). I have checked the chassis rails and there is no rust just a bit of the stone gaurd has come away but will not be hard to fix that. Its got stone chips on the bonnet, guards and front bar and they have been pencil touched ( I would be more woried if i didnt find and stone chips or pencil touch marks) the only rust i have found was a little bit of surface on the boot floor. Its $25000 including all on roads but they said that they can go a bit cheaper then that. Its completely stock except for a turbo timer and traction control adjuster. Its got 79000 km's on it and was imported by the dealer in June last year. So just wondering what you all think if its a good buy or not. Once i get the ok from the bank for the loan I am going to organise a mechanic to have a look at it and check the compression. So is there anything else i should get checked? Thanks Chris
  12. Well i am not sure if the laws are the same between NSW and QLD all i know is that i cannot drive a car with a turbo, heavily modded engine or a v8. I am looking to spend around $10 to $15 K all depends how much i have saved up by the end of the year and how much i will be able to borrow. As for a gtst costing more then a gts in QLD there are not alot of gts for sale that i can find right now but i have not been looking really hard just looking for now. There are a few gts that i have found but they are either auto or cost more then $15 K. And i mean no offence to all your guy who have a skyline thats auto but really having an ayuto skyline just would not be the same. Also about the being sensible i am a pannelbeater and have seen some pretty messed up cars from people doing stupid things and i am not like that. Speeding, drifting and burnouts should be done either at the drags or on a race track. Thanks all for your posts they have helped me with this. Chris
  13. Hello all, i was just wondering about what would be involved with removing a turbo from a gtst. I got my p plates a few weeks ago and have been a keen skyline fan for many years now and am look to buy a R32 or R33 as my first car. But due to the new p plate law in queensland i am unable to drive a car with a turbo so i have been looking for a gts. But as i have found out that a gts in my price range is a bit hard to come by ( as i am a 1st year apprentice ) so i was thinking of just buying a gtst in my price range and removing the turbo if it is all possible to do with costing lots of money. Any help will be greatly welcome. Cheers Chris
