I was just about to say that, problem is mate the guys in the states dont get swaps from japan any more due to the exchange rate, and the the sellers in Canada supply some really shitty 400,000+km motors stuff from Thailand, Mylasia and Singapore. So with regards to what you said about checking the basic items, not only they are missing when people get them in the states the motors are generally pieced together from so many different items and also loads of bad info on some of the other fourms state side since its all about the veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetaccccccccccccccccckkkkkkk yo. what I have seen is many times the water temp sensor as well as a bad injector can be the problem what is happening with the op. for the op if I think what your up to doing id take a look into the Cima VQ30DET side mount intercooler and add a fan + a water sprayer but the prob is you can just go for a fmic kit but if you dont want to go for the mod look then i'd say your on to something good but need to look at all of the options. I did hide the inter cooler and doesn't attract much attention and the funny things here people walk up to me asking to sell me an SR20DET swap for my car and i just let them yap on I just smile nod and go about my business,

Thermostat = swap to nismo or other recomended brand, but also run a larger diamater water pump pully to reduce air crevation.

can you post a pic of the one you have now , just a warning be careful when removing since the plastics get brittle after a while. I have seen where one company in japan has installed a S15 dash into a R32, as for the mounting points should almost be the same maybe the loom plug and the speed sensor might be different, should be the same though as for the headlight just make sure the tabs are not cracked and get a set of HID ballist from a Toyota product since they are easier to plug in the back of the head lights, I dont know with your Aussie MOT laws if that is allowed to run them on that spec. hope it works out for ya, invest in a oil cooler, oil & water feed lines for the turbos and a nice radiator with an aux fan. btw last part of your question as = where are they ? oh they are in the fosale section telling people how much parts should cost

This will not work on a SR20DET unless you have the non turbo distributor to work with it as well the loom and ignition chip. yup , and I have it what ever that pump is under the driver side rear panel.

This is the pump unit that is located on the driver side rear under the quarter panel under the boot. item is used and in excellent working condition only reason I have it I parted out a R33 GTR Vspec and that was left from it + a couple of other small bits and pieces. $389usd shipped

did you bother to ask or do research on the block and crank spec as well many other items you forgot to touch on about the internal spec's on the motor and not to mention its a hand built motor built at Autech and was built on a completely different asembly line?
