  1. To me its about actually about widening the 33! I havent done it yet...but would like to make it wider...there aren't that many kits out there that make it wider except for the GTR replica kits!..front guards look good...but how wide can u pump the rears!!!!
  2. Fully modified or not, doesn't show if it has or hasnt been serviced properly. I'd check for a logbook and get NRMA to inspect it. go right through the car. Check for any hidden surprises. Only reason why i'd go for a stocky is cas most modded cars have been thrashed! More power equals more potential damage that has occured to the engine, if any! My fnal note, just ask for a service history. And get NRMA to check it out...No Logbook.dont buy it, but pretty rare to find one with a logbok. good luck.
  3. Answers to your questions are as follows... Buy a stock as possible 33, atleast you'll have in piece of mind that it hasnt been thrashed. As far as bullet proofing goes, you wouldn't need to with your respected goals of only 200rwkw. That figure is a lot of fun in an R33. You want my advice, i'd go a Full Turbo Back exhaust of any trusted brand ie. GReddy, X-Force, HKs. A split dump pipe. You'll be pushing to get 200rwkw SAFELY with a stock 33 cooler. Either invest in a front mount or an R34 stock cooler. My frind has one in his 33 getting 204rwkw @ 10psi with mild mods. Computer wise id go Apexi Power FC, if you're going that route you will also need an AIr flow meter upgrade. Invest inthe very best you can get with computers if it is going to be your daily driver. Last but not least a boost controller. Ive got a GReddy Profec B Spec II. Works wonderful. I prefer Electronic over your simple T'piece boosters. but a lot of people can argue that with fair amount of dis/advantages. Each to there own. As for the turbo, your stock turbo should get you up to 200rwkw fine. Aslong as you keep it well oiled, and must i say, install a turbo timer. If you look after your turbo it will look after you. The stock turbo in an R33 brings boost up a lot quicker ie very responsive, and when boosted and with the right computer settings can pull through the whole rev range without giving up. If you decide on upgrading, my choices would be 1. HKS GTRS 2. GRedddy TD06-25G or for cheap but also mild responsive power that will get you 200rwkw a KKR 430. tried and tested. Works wonderful. You can pick one up for Around $700. Hope this has helped, RJ
  4. lol...yeh i need that too my cars only got an HKS pod, and Greddy RS bov ohhh and i replaced my clutch with a Five puck Brassy..wouldnt of done that but my stock clutch went after too many burnouts. I was thinkin.. 1. Turbo back exhaust w/ split dump pipe 2. FMIC..whats ur suggestions..BAR & PLATE, or TUBE & FIN? 3. Boost Contoller & a nice tune!! I'm not made out of money lol...but i do want somethin that goes good! I've raced a couple of stock V8's and beaten them...quite happy & surprised. Any faster than that i'll prob kil myself!

  8. Recently purchased an 12" MTX 4500 Sub in a PORTED BOX for my R33. I also have a Jensen Mono amplifier. I was enquiring about what freuency should I set my Low Pass Frequency at? I listen to a lot of Rap & R&B and was wondering if anybody could help? The Low Pass Filter Settings on my amp range from 40hz to 300hz. Also what should I set my Gain and Bass at? Settings for Bass are 0db up to 19db and for gain is 8 to 100 not sure about the units type specified! Thanks...all help will be muchly appreciated!
  9. Hey guys, Not sure if this has been covered before but i'm getting terrible vibration from my sub out side of my car. Inside it sounds great, but its embarrassing having a rattling boot while listening to music. What I would like answered are as follows: - What sound deadener should I purchase? - How and where should I install it in the boot of my R33? - Will this actually stop the vibration from outside of my car? - Also will it improve the already great bass inside of the car? Cheers guys...your help would be greatly appreciated....also if there are in pictures you would like to share i'd be very grateful for them aswell!
  10. Yes mate..looks awesome...PAT ON THE BACK SON...JOB WELL DONE.... But I guess everybody else would be enquiring about the price for this...i'm sure you'll post it soon... Oh and yeah...was that a 12" sub installed?
  11. Hey champ...heard u live in Syd...i know this isnt the right forum to be asking...but where bouts in syd are u? and how much for 33?
  12. Also what do you think of the GReddy TDO6/25G? Any thoughts...
  13. Exactly mate... I had a Honda Civic with a 2.0 V-tec banger in between the front struts... And boy oh boy did I love racing forced inducted cars... when the V-tec kicked in it screamed so hard you couldn't even hear the exhaust note from the other car... From peoples replies I believe 250rwkw would be perfect for the street! I'll keep you updated on how things go in the next month or two!
  14. HKS 25/30....do you know much about them? WHats the response like....also what psi would I need to run it to squeeze out my targeted power figure! I've noticed people mentioning a lot of HKS turbos but what about the GReddy TD06/25G...is it not as good..i've read a lot of articles and power figures with the response it gives is substantial....but not to familiar with the price though! Thanks for that... I'll give it a look up!
  15. why...what power will that give me??? Go away unless u have any worthwhile tips..thanks!!
  16. Thanks for the tips... yeh i never considered on braking and handling... to go fast u need to handle and stop aswell...lol yeh...do u think the $15,000 will be needed...thats including the labour of course!
  17. wow thanks champ...i'm surprised with how much feedback ive got already... i only posted this 3 hrs ago.. again thanks....ill keep you guys posted on how it ends up in the coming month..
  18. Hey guys I just purchased an 12" MTX 4500 Sub. What I would like is some ideas of how to install preferably in the boot of my R33. - What Amp settings would I need? - Box? Ported? or Sealed? Would like Punchy Bass but to sound good at both Low and High volumes. Settings available on Amp are as follows... - LPF (Hz) - Gain I'm new to this...so much help would be grateful
  19. HKS...hmmm...sounds good but also pricey....ill look it up..thakns for that.. And yes. I installed a Brass Button a while ago...it's shit to drive...very emvarrassing in front of my girl...she thinks she can drive better than me now...id prove it to her...but i dont want her to drive my car...lol
  20. Yes yes....very interested Keep me in touch please! Thanks!!
  21. Hey guys I am in need for some more power but before I go ahead with the process I would like some feedback of what you guys think about my intended goal and how I aim to get there. I have an 1994 R33 Gts25t. The only modification on it is a HKS Pod Filter and GReddy Type-RS B.O.V. My Goal is to rise power @ the wheels to around 220-250kw. With a min budget of between 10 to 15 thousand (including labour) I would like to know what would be the best way to get there without trial and errors. - Brands are not so much important but reliability is a must. - Bolt-ons would be great without any mods to any parts in the actual engine bay. - Response is my main agenda rather than power. - MOST IMPORTANTLY...would like to keep my car legal and "SLEEPERISH" So far I have come up with this list after searching endlessly... * X-Force "Varex" Turbo-Back exhaust w/ split dump pipe * KKR-430 Turbo * GReddy Profec-B Spec II Boost Controller * GReddy FMIC "Bar & Plate" * GReddy Ultimate ECU * 550cc Injectors * Bosch 040 In Tank Fuel Pump Questions I'd like answered are... - Is the turbo suitable for the power wanted, and also responsive enough? - Is the Boost controller reliable enough? - Is my choice of ECU compatible and most of all reliable? - What other mods would I need? If you could help it would be much appreciated, and would most likely be beneficial for others. Cheers.
