  1. interested in gauge mount carbon fibre dash thingy

how much is this and were do i get it??

does it fit over the top of your dash or how does it mount exactly?

interested on lambo doors if they are as easy as it seems,

    cheers

The dash pod isn`t ready yet as the fitment was wrong when we tried the sample. I think the mould warped in tranit to Asia and ruined the sample. Have to start again on this one.

  2. Does anyone know if R32's would have different bolt hole positions for the doors? my kit doesnt line up properly. its about 3.5mm out. so at the moment i have my car ripped apart in the shed completely undrivable until i put everything back on.

We are dealing with this issue and in talks with the manufacturer.

  3. yeah like craved said. you just need to ensure you open the door far enough out before u lift it up or it can catch on the black trim which runs around the top of the window

Yes need to open the door fully and then up. The shocks won`t be wearing they just have a break in period. They are first stiff, then get easier to lift up and down.

  4. you say china makes bad quality kits china has many provinces you just need to find the right manufacturer from the range of provinces

we had one kit we fitted to a rx7 and that kit was a poorly setup with no guide stoppers and poor design of strut and from installing that we learnt that more features had to be suited for this to perform better. we regurally visit the china trade shows and on our next visit we were able to find a better supplier/manufacturer for these lambo doors. we used this manufacturers setup and it worked out much better than the previous china setup

its not a case of china is bad its a matter of having contacts and be willing to put the effort out so that we can find the better product

    my 2 cents

    cheers

    andrew

Totally agree with you mate, only said the ones we tried were no good, not every supplier in China wood be bad. Couldn`t possibly try every mnufacturer there is, just stopped looking when we found a good one.

  5. I used to belive that Australians are all good and friendly people, but when u are saying "kit is a direct bolt on fitment and is made in Taiwan, not China where all the poor quality kits come from" I think its time for me to chang my mind.

Please have a look around you, most of your clothes are made in China, your computer is made in China, your kitchenwares are made in China, even the keyboard your are using to debate is made in China !!!!!! So, if you really think Chinese only make "poor quality" stuffs, I think you'd better stop using them right now and it must be good for you, right? ;)

By the way, Taiwan is a part of China !!!!!! They are not different countries !!!!!! I guess everyone who can read newspaper definitely knows that~~~

Wow, what a random post. Here is my answer to this one.

If you actually read what I said, it says that we disguarded the kits that were made in China as they were not good enough quality wise and inferior to the Taiwanese made kits. We did not say everything made in China was rubbish. We import a lot of products from China and I have many contacts, which are now friends from China. I only said that these particular products were not up to the job. So to say "Chinese only make poor quality Stuffs" is something you have made up. Yes I am from The United Kingdom not Australia, all though I would like to move out there. Anyone want to give me somewhere to live. Oh and my wife and Kids?

    All the Best Terry

And Hello to my Friends in China if you stumble accross this thread.

  6. Your doors may not rub! the only place mine rubbs is at the front of the side skirt. ill take pics 2moro. It did rub at the rear but that was due to poor alignment.

I would personally try the doors before ur paint job if possible? My second door is not fully finished yet but it hasnt rubbed...maybe i just messed up the first one?

As i said ill get photos 2moro it may just be my skirts? i have JUN side skirts

If the door catches the side skirt, the adjustment is wrong in the up and down movement. Adjust the screw by tightening it or screw in to bring the door up. Then lock it off with the lock nut. One way to stop this ever needing adjusting would be to attach a flat piece of metal onto the mating faces of the adjuster srew. This would make flat metal to metal contact and not wear away after constant use.

  8. This im interested in... Especially carbon fibre.. anything for the R34?

Secondly could you supply pix of the hinges for a r34. Interested in how much space they take up.

    Thanks

R34 bits are on our list to do at the moment. Will post up when they are ready.

Here is the install guide on an R33 GTST Skyline which shows the hinges. It`s not an R34 but the hinges will be same in appearance and size.

  9. me and a mate started my install of the lambo doors today! THEY ARE FREAKING AWSOME!

we managed to get one door on...took SOOO long though, spent like an hour trying to align it. put the car all back together to realise it was compety NOT in the same place i had aligned it :) I think i forgot to tighten the nuts after aligning it grrr

The kit is very easy to install though....IF you dont have side skirts, mine now need respraying and the doors his the skirts unless you open it a specific way....out a lil. up a bit out fully then up.

So atm i have one door on which i cna not use becuase its lined up so bad it overlaps on the back quater panel :P 2moro i will have to pull the front gaurd off again and try to realign it. Wont have a second pair of hands until next weekend though

The prep work is usually the most labour intensive with having to remove the wings to gain access, which in turn you need to remove the side skirts, front bumper and guards. Sounds like the hinges are sitting too far backwards on the adjustable slots. Did you keep the door on and locked when you fitted the hinge? This would make sure that the door was near the correct distance from the rear panel. Once you have it in the right place it might be worth putting a few tack welds round the hinge, like we have done on ours. Just illimanates it moving at all in the future. Not a neccessity but an option.

  10. Glad you got them Ok Chris, have fun with your new Doors. Installation really is easy, it`s only nuts and bolts. Remember to exercise the doors few times, test and adjust before putting all the components back on. Any problems give me a shout, always happy to help. 001334848469 mobile 04407795245306

  11. this might be a stupid question but from all the pics i have seen of skylines with lambo doors, it seems there isn't much room for people to get in or out

p.s. carbon fiber interior looks hot

Took these pictures recently for another customer, as you can see, plenty of room to get in and out.

  12. Lamborghini forums are full of people wanting normal doors.... :D

Quite the opposite, have people with Galardo`s asking for Lamborghini door conversions. Why would somebody with an early model buy a Lamborghini if they didn`t like the doors.
