  1. ^^^^ Beat me to it Dan
  2. Up to their tricks again FuelWatch indicates that at least 19 Caltex sites across Perth will raise prices by as much as 18 cents a litre today, the RAC says. The rises follow a similar increase for some BP sites yesterday, which the RAC warned could lead to copycat rises from outlets for other brands. Yesterday RAC head of member advocacy Matt Brown said motorists should fight petrol retailers' cynical tactics by boycotting high-priced Caltex and BP sites. "The average price for petrol in Perth tomorrow is around $1.05 a litre," Mr Brown said. “If you see a Caltex or BP station trying to charge you significantly more than that, simply keep driving past it. “There is nothing in the international movement in the price of oil that could possibly justify an increase of this magnitude. “The move by certain Caltex and BP sites to jump their prices by such a big margin confirms our suspicion that there is a move on to drag the market price of petrol up in the days leading up to the Australia Day long weekend. “This could mean that other retailers will be watching on and just waiting to raise their own prices, perhaps not by as much as 18 cents a litre but certainly higher than the current average price. “It’s a pretty cynical move aimed at hitting motorists in the lead-up to a holiday break.”
  3. Check it out mate. You could go Bunbury, Balingup, Nannup to Busselton. Grab a map and have a look!
  4. How long have ya had the car mate? Reason I ask is that when I bought my Gts-t I would get a loud thump from the back end when going over speed bumps etc. Once I got off my lazy butt (after quite some time) and checked it out I found a whole set of wheel nuts inside the back left panel
  5. bubba you could always take it easy on the rough sections
  6. Just had a PM from chuckie about making up a map. Work roster would prevent me from doing one til early February but would be happy to go for a cruise and pick some good roads . Chuckie may start a thread in the events (I'm to lazy ) for some expression of interest.
  7. LOLS. I personally like the different surfaces, cept when ya start skipping sideways round a tight bend, tends to test you out
  8. At risk of sounding like a twit here but what does ftmfl stand for
  9. You get a real mix of road surfaces, some are great, others are narrow and pretty bumpy. Gives the suspension a good workout. Generally the roads around Nannup, Bridgetown and Balingup are pretty good. The roads out in the Furgeson Valley/ Collie area can be a bit rough.
  10. Yep that is a great road. Have you tried the Nannup/ Balingup road, awesome! Wouldn't know about mushies but the wine and cheese rocks.
  11. The hills east of Bunbury, out Ferguson Valley way are great as well as the roads around Bridgtown, Nannup and Balingup You metrosexuals really should get down that way
  12. ^^^^^+1. Been looking for this sort of thing for ages, thanks.

  14. Very nice 32 there mate, congrats on the purchase. Saw ya mention spring compression tool. I saw a great trick when I was getting my suspension change on the 33GTR, the guy used a $2 ratchet tiedown strap. So much safer than having bloody spring compressors fly off under tension. Believe me, been there done that.
  15. Have the Bilstein's on my 96 GTR and am very happy with them.
  16. Very good question, was thinking the same thing
  17. I bought my silver 33GTR V-Spec about 8 months ago from a guy who lives in Kalgoorlie. Car is stock, you might have seen it around out there.
  18. Share market, nuff said. Should have invested the money into my GTR
  19. All great points there mate. The importer can look after the compliance issues for you and I am pretty sure they look after the registration as well ( correct me if I'm wrong as I haven't bought through an importer )
  20. Once you start modding the car you are not going to even get close to the value of the mods back when you sell it, so an un-modded car will generally not be much cheaper. We are talking generally here and there are exceptions, it really just comes down to what someone is prepared to pay for the car. If you try to do the import yourself it is really complicated but if you go to one of the importers just tell them what you want and they will source you the closest car to your requirements. Personally with the exchange rate the way it is at the moment an import would be fairly expensive. I'm with you as far as buying unmodded so if you do chose to go down that path you can choose what you want done yourself (reason I bought an unmodded GTR V-spec). The only disadvantage of this is the cost, I've spent upwards of $10 grand in my head already (exhaust, turbos, ECU, suspension, oil cooler) and I haven't even thought about engine internals yet. From what I have seen you will have a bit of trouble finding an unmodded car so maybe an importer would be the way to go. Hth
  21. You must be one in a million to not want a modded car. I have an R33 that is stock and can't sell it atm, seems everyone wants the mods. Just have a look at some of the importers, talk to them and buy the best value car you can find.
  22. Sux people damaging other peoples cars 'just for fun or jealousy'. Hope the damage isn't to bad. Maybe the blood was instant karma
  23. Yay a gold star
