Thanks. Hopefully it is not horrendous. Please post here or PM. Cheers

Would you ship to Auckland, NZ? If so how much?
thanks.

Hi, no, not yet. Godzilla Motorsports said to put 5 at 7v, 2.8 at 15v and interpolate vertical.

^^ bhahaha
There's a bolt behind the mirror. Tighten it.

Have swapped a set of R35 coils on my BNR34. Seems like the dwell time is incorrect.
Anyone knows the dwell time table for R35 coil packs? Running a Link G4+
cheers.

Really good read - all of the 13 pages.
Anything else on this space?

I wish!! No, I am from NZ and was there for a month holidaying.
The scene seems to start around 9ish... On Saturdays, the turn out is bigger but Fridays are awesome as well. Get there early and make some friends.
Sometimes the sound crew comes and blast music apparently thats why it gets shut down. Happened to us on one of the Saturdays.

Saturday night Video here

This place is awesome and is pack full of cars on Saturday nights. Haven't been to Tatsumi PA but the locals were recommending that we pay a visit to Tatsumi.

For future referenc, a R32 diff can also be used if you are ready to stuff around.
- the R32 ABS rings are differnt. 46 teeth on both 32 & 34 but the gaps are wider on 34. So the rings have to be swapped.
-R32 short axles do not fit 34 centre - different spline pattern. Swap the axles around. Don't know if aftermarket centers resolve this issue.
Gearing not as bad first thought.
Speedo is understandably read incorrect values for speed.

Done mine as well and loving it so far
-
R33 has different rear diff ratio to a 34. Because one has a 5 speed gb and the other a 6
Kafish?A mate of mine has an r34 GTR with 4.11 front diff gears.
I am assuming his mates 34R is not running and they have a 4:1 diff in the front and they are wondering if they can fit a 4:1 diff from a 33 to their 34. If the car is runing with different front and rear diff ratio, we would have seen an epic fail video
I know the diffs are interchangeable because I am about to do this conversion. If all goes well, I should get it done this weekend.
The gearbox it self has got nothing to do with the diff. From what people say, the first gear in Getrag will be useless after a 4:1 convo.
Hey Bob - how is it going?
-
Yes. You must maintain the v spec/non v spec variations though.
Ie, 33 non V spec diff in to 34 non V spec.
-
If you want to keep the current wheels, you can look at wider guards or rolling the guards.
Have a look in there in case if PO has installed spacers.
Fixing camber at that height will bring the top edge of the tyre closer to the wheel arch.

Great, thanks.
I am going to be there mid May to June. Look foreard to it.

Subscribed.
Get it ready for the Dyno!!!

Is the scene like this every Friday?
-
How did it go Daz?2867's in a 3.0. Not mine, Daz's.
-
Which setup are you talking about?
I was referring to your -5 tune. Did you experience boost tapering on -5 with the exhaust set up you mentioned?
-
Agree, hence the reason for sticking with stock bovs. Also have replaced the actuators with HKS items.Nothing wrong with the stock BOV.
No boost drop with your exhaust gear? Similar specs with HPI dumps, Mines front pipe pro, Amuse Titan R1 on mine.Green line is GT -RS's, split dumps, HKS front pipes and a kakimoto full mega N1 cat back.
I should have also mentioned that both tunes are on BP98. I was somewhat surprised by the power GTX made on low boost.

Thanks. I do understand what you say about the exhaust. I have replaced front pipe and the full exhaust - no difference. I know of two cars cracking over 500kw with similar spec exhaust systems - steady boost curve all the way. I suspect it is the stock bov ruining it for me.
Anyhow, on to better stuff. Here are the dyno graphs.
2014 = -5
2015 = GTX

So what's happening on Friday?? Tell me you are mounting a pair of 2867 in to a RB28Friday!
Skids, I will get the dyno sheets up soon.
I wasn't clear on my last post, the boost drop on high RPM was an issue before fitting GTXs on.
Smallest ID would be 70mm on the front pipes but there are two 70mm pipes merging in to 80mm. Rest of the exhaust system is bigger than 80mm and no cat. Fully ported head. Cams are 270 duration, 10.80 lift.
I doubt it is the turbine side choking as the GT-RS uses similar size turbine with a larger compressor wheel than GTX286X variants.
R34 rear bumper red "fog light"

The switch to operate the fog light is on the factory parking/high/low beam stalk on the steering column. A bulb on the dash indicates when fog light is on.
The fog light only works when you have head lights at on position.
