  1. Hey All, long story short I own a S13 and it's been a great car to me but times have changed and I'm probably going to sell it and replace it with a 4 door of some kind. The reason why I am after a 4 door is I need something with a bit bigger space and have 4 doors; it's just a constant pain only having 2 doors and not having the room in the car, but I guess Silvia's aren't meant to carry people or have heaps of room either. I like to stay in the import scene of course; but the only probably is there aren't many 4 door imports out there. I've done some research over this time and have narrowed my choice down to a R34. The reason why I picked the R34 is because I like the style, it's newer compared to other 4 doors, it's in my budget, they are reliable and overall I've heard nothing but good things from them. I did take into consideration the JZX100 because they are probably the best 4 door import out there, but one major problem stopped me, which was the money and I can't really afford it. My plans for the car are to keep it as a nice street car nothing more nothing less; it is going to be my daily so I don't want to attract attention by the poo poo. I don't want to spend bucket loads on a car because at this point in time I am saving for a house deposit etc. My question is what is it like driving a R34 4 door, seeing basically they are all automatic would I be able to cope with driving auto daily; I would prefer manual but I really can't afford spending and extra $5,000 just to get it in manual. Do I need that extra power, do I need to get turbo or is a N/A fine just for my type of driving or does a N/A R34 4 door have absolutely no power and I need to spend a bit extra to get turbo? That's probably it for now; love to know people's opinions on a R34 4 door. I'm open to all people's comments, opinions and thoughts so feel free to post your statement. Thanks in advance.
  2. Hey all, I was just wondering if any you guys could tell me what kit and boot lip is on this Skyline R34 4 door, I'm in the market for a R34 4 door and I love this kit. So can anyone tell me what this kit is and where I can get it from? Link - Thanks guys, Jase.

  4. Hey thank Rekins that's really really helpful, I really appreciate your effort to do all that, thanks again. I will look into the mods you suggested and do a bit more research, thanks again you smarty pants . Thanks to you also Toffy, thanks for your input and opinion. The reason why I am going spring's rather then coilovers is because I did research and the outcome of it was to have springs if just daily driving and being a steeter. You will feel more comfy and it will satisfy your needs compared to coilovers, hence why I am going to springs but I am thinking about tein super streets but I don't know. I need to look into more detail I think. Oh yeh I can post my body and wheels as well, here's they are: Exterior: - Genuine Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R Bonnet - Genuine Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R Grill - Genuine Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R N1 Front Bumper - Genuine Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R N1 Front Lip - Genuine Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R N1 Side Skirts - Genuine Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R N1 Pods - Genuine Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R N1 Headlights - Genuine Nissan Skyline R32 Clear Headlight Covers - Xenon Headlight Conversion - Window Tint 20%) Wheels & Tires: - Front: Nissan Skyline R33 Factory Option GT-R Rims 17 x 9 + 30 - Rear: Nissan Skyline R33 Factory Option GT-R Rims 17 x 9 + 30 - Front: Toyo R1R Semi-Slicks 215 – 40 – 17 - Front: Toyo R1R Semi-Slicks 235 – 40 – 17 Thanks again guys for both your advice really appreciate it , will look into a bit more and do a bit more research and post back what I have changed etc. Still open to opinions etc on what I should do ; so feel free to write what ever. Thanks again.
  5. Hey All, I recently getting into the import scene; I don't really know much about cars at all regarding the engine, driveline, suspension etc but would love to learn. I've currently got a very basic S13 SR20DE; I'm looking into getting a R32 4 door and make it into a nice streeter; nothing more but nothing less. I read continuously on everyone's member's rides on this site; I love to see a project get build and what was once an average thing turns into a magnificent thing. Although I don't understand much what the people are doing it still interests me. At the moment I'm making a modification list for my new car, this way I am prepared on what needs to be done and keeps me motivated to finish the project. I was wondering if someone could post any possible links or tell me where I can seek information regarding the 'ultimate street setup' for a 4 door skyline. I don't want to go overboard but I don't want to go under board either, I want it to handle and run extremely well. I know to do this, it's going to cost money and I know some people like to do it half assed and be hell tight on money, but not in this case. I see if I am going to be putting in the effort it should be done right and correctly, so I am prepared to spend whatever it takes to get the best of the best for my car. So what would be the best and potential modification list regarding the best brands for the, so for this is my idea: Engine: - Turbosmart E-Boost 2Boost Controller - K&N Pod Filter with 2 ½ inch Air Intake - Greddy / Trust Type R Blow Off Valve - Bosch 040 Fuel Pump - Cusco Oil Catch Can - Nismo Oil Filler Cap Cooling: - Greddy / Trust Air Diversion Plate - R32 Airflow Metre - R32 GT-R Front Mount Intercooler Kit - R32 GT-R Radiator - Nismo Low Thermostat) - Nismo Radiator Cap Driveline: - Comrade C's Short Shifter Kit - Nismo Rubber Gearbox Mount - Exedy Heavy Duty Button Clutch Kit - Exedy Hyper Clutch Flywheel - Nismo Clutch Pivot Ball - Nismo Clutch Pedal Box/Bracket - Nismo Steel Braided Clutch Hose / Line Suspension: - Cusco Strut Brace Type ALC40 (Front) - Cusco Strut Brace Type OS (Rear) - SydneyKid R32 GST-T Suspension Kit (Superior Suspension) Brakes: - R33 GST-T Brake Conversion I know most of you guys are going to say go re-search which I will,. I know I am a 'newbie' and I'd admit that, but I feel like I have to learn some how and without know mates know anything about imports and performances modification this is my resort to help me. Anyway sorry for the long post and I hope I can get my head to understand everyone. I'm open to all opinions and I may admit I may have gone overboard so feel free to scratch parts out which won't be really needed. Thanks and I await your replies.
  6. Thanks buddy for you fast reply and you opinion, I am consindering a R34 or R32 at the moment no hurry to sell so I will keep my eye's out i guess. Is there any build threads of a R34 at all ?? Thanks again.
  7. Hey All, I've got a couple of questions I would like to be answered; I've currently got own a S13 and it has been great to me. But as I've gotten older I am a need a 4 door car, so I am looking to sell to buy a 4 door because it will be more use and practical for my current situation. I'm currently considering all 4 door skyline and just would like to know some further question to narrow my decision. I want to know what is the best model series for a 4 door skyline and year, eg.(R32, R33 or R34). I want it to be manual if anything but may consider non turbo for a R34, so can someone give me some advice on what model they prefer and why etc. I have done some searching but nothing has answered my question. Thanks in advance.
  8. Are the nismo body parts, side skirts and bar with lip only for a stagea or do they fit a S13 as well?? Could you possibly PM pictures or on thread !! If they fit a S13 you got it sold !! Are they plastic or fibre glass ?? Jase.
  9. Hey All Could some one make my Silvia, with full URAS bodykit, 3" aftermarket exhaust, volk rims, clear indicators, tint, and lowered please !! That would be great if someone could do that, thanks for who ever does it !! Jase.
  10. Another good find i will take these things on board when looking at it, i hear a lot of people bag 4 doors, this is a 4 door how good are they?? can you find many body kits for them?? can people post picutres of a 4 door with a kit on them so i can see what they look like?? Plus how can i get the seller to budge down to 6,500 for it?? Thanks all for the good posts.
  11. Wow !! good post, thanks so much when looking it will do that, do you think i should go buy or do you think it will break on me?? Once again thanks for the good post.
  12. Hey all, Thought this will be a good place to post and get some good information and some advice. I've had my heart set on a R32 for my first car, and I'm ending towards getting my provisional drivers licence sooner by each lesson. I live in S.A. so 32's or 33's don't come very often especially in my price range. But finally I found one. It's a 32 GTS-T 4 Door and done 150,000kms. It's an auto but it doesn't bother me that much would like a manual but seeing they don't come very often I happily to take this one. Basically it's all stock got R33 wheels on it and has got a sub and a head unit put into it, it is turbo and in S.A. you are aloud to drive a turbo car on your P's so it's all good there. Downer is that he had coilovers on it seem to have bung out on him, so which means I going to have to put in some dosh to get them replaced he got quoted $1,200 for all 4 to be done which is re-gas and re-sealed. But the sealer has been very helpful and nice with me and which I appreciate. I manage to get him down to $7,000 seeing it's and auto and not many modification are done on it, I would like to get it for 6,500 and I would be happy but seeing I have to get the coilovers done I think he should budge down to $6,500. And money is hard for me to come by I'm going to have to save to get them done. Basically I would like to know some information on these type of cars, What should I look for when inspecting the car? How good are they on petrol? I heard 4 doors are lot longer then 2 doors, and everyone seems to love the 2 door, what does every think about them? How reliable are they, will I have to do DIY all the time to keep it maintained? How hard and cheap are spare parts to come by? How to convince the seller to budge down to 6,500 or lower? Just basic stuff on them, I want to know as much as I can before I go into buy and find out I got all these problems, I want to make sure I know what I'm going into and that I'm not going to get screwed. So tell all you know about them I want to know as much as possible. Hope to hear some good replies Thanks in advance
  13. wow !! thanks dude for the advice, anyone else got anything to add that i should know??
