Anyone has any issues with the Air Bag light flashing? Mine starting flashing tonight while i was cruising along. Stoped at a red light, quickly turned off the car, left it for a few seconds, started it up agian and still flashing! Any ideas?

You need a twin 4" muffler...

My Automatic S1 RS Four is currently at R.E Customs getting a few things fixed on it.. they threw it on the rollers and it made roughly 130awkw on 7-8psi with shot coil packs breaking down at out around 4,500rpm. Only Mods are: Full 3" Cat Back Exhuast FMIC Apexi Power Intake After the spitfires are put on and a few other things checked, when i pick up the car i might take my manual boost controller, quickly plumb it back up and see how much it will make on around 11-12psi.. hopefully should see around 145-150awkw

I have a similar one in my car but not as bad.. when i squirt my car with the high pressure hose i end up with water on the inside of the drivers and passenger windows..

Yeah trust me i got a discount after i went to inspect the car after the repairs and i seen the front bar the way it was.. and after all this crap has started with the car all they can say is "Oh thats no good".. I saw your cooler its tucked away very nicely.. i thought your car was stock apart from the wheels until i had a closer look lol.. didn't get to look under the hood, i only had time to drop the car off and jump on a train back to the city for work..

Yeah my front bar is screwed!.. they chopped the hell out of that one to make it fit over the cooler which took all the strenth out of it and stress from bumpy roads ect made it crack all the way through! .. I've got a new Nismo bar for it just gotta get my new cooler, get the bar sprayed and fitted.. Old bar was an ABFlug bar, contacted ABFlug in Japan and they said it would cost me nearly $2000 for the bar and freight to Aus.. Brad is still working on the AWD just hopeing its gets sorted befor i drive the car through the front window of the place i brought it from!..

Hey guy's been expierencing some major problems with my 4WD System lately and was wondering if there's anything i can check befor sending it off to RE Customs on a tow truck. The car drives fine for 5-10 mins then my 4WD lights comes on and from there my car starts to jerk down low, clears up abit if i put my foot down and when i turn corners or driving very slowly its like i have a minispool and the wheel has trouble turning.. Sometimes feels as if its leaning to one side in the rear. If i turn the car off for 5-10mins and start it up its fine agian until the 4WD without doubt comes back on. I've also noticed the 4WD light will come on if i put a fair bit of pressure on the brakes.

Real sorry to see dude, that was a nice Silver Stag you had there! Aslong as your fine, car's can be replaced, live's cant! To bad your up in NSW.. if your AB Flug bar is in one peice id deffinately be keen..

Hey guys, not sure if this is normal or not but i find my Stagea will randomly change between gears when it fells like it... Sometimes when im driving along the highway with my foot in a relatively firm position it will deicide it doesn't want to sit nicely in 3rd gear and drop to 2nd or its not comfortable sitting in second and will jump to 3rd.. Ive previously owned Holdens and the only time the car would drop down a gear is if you out your boot into it and the kick down cable drops it back into second or change up a gear if the rev's are sitting high.. is the Stagea either just very touchy on its gear changes and is it meant to change gears so randomly?..

Had her nearly a week now and overall im pretty happy with my purchase.. exhuast sounds pretty awesome.. has a nice note and doesn't really drone like previous exhuast systems ive had.. its just hard telling myself its going to be a family car soon and doesn't need any more performance mods..

Hey guy's, im fairly new to this forum and am a new memeber to the Stagea Brigade!! First off i'll start with a story of my new purchase.. After me & my partner found out we have twins on the way we decided we needed a car that was more suitable and the search for a family wagon began.. Previously owning a HSV Senator and other performance cars i wanted something more family suited but still wanted something i could have abit of fun in when the family not in the car so we looked at various wagons on the internet (V8 Commodore Wagons, Legnum's, Liberty's ect). After abit of reseach i couldn't go past a Stagea so the search for the perfect Stagea began.. After seraching around on various websites we decided importing wasn't much of an option (Bidding in auctions, waiting for it to be imported ect) so we starting looking at private sales & car yards but couldn't fine many Stagea's that already had modifications in our price list until we came across this one sitting in a car yard not to far from home.. She's a 1997 Rs Four Stagea with 79,000kms on the clock, twin sunroofs, Abflug bodykit, front mount intercooler, 18" Blitz 3 peice mag's, imaculate interor with all the little extra goodies like cd player with stacker, hks boost guage & turbo timer ect.. After looking at it i decided this is the car for me & after taking it for a test drive i knew i had to have it so after some haggleing a deposit was made .. now it was just a matter of waiting for it to be registered.. After waiting a week the day befor i was meant to pick up the car i recieved a call from the dealership to say she was invloded in a minor accident and if i was still interested it would be a few weeks befor she would be ready .. After 2 weeks of patiently waiting she was finally ready to be picked up.. after checking the repairs i was abit disappionted the bumper was replaced with a Nismo style bumper instead of the Abflug so after some further haggleing i exchaged money for the keys and the fun has begun.. First thing was to put on a boost controller which is currently set on 11-12psi.. also im not a huge fan of the honey comb style HKS air filter so it was replaced with a new Apexi Power Intake.. i also purchased some Nismo clear side indicators which are yet to be put on and next on the cards is a new Abflug bumper from Japan.. Im having the same problem aswell... My 1997 Stagea has a FMIC and Pod filter and was running stock boost no problems.. as soon as i put the boost controller on and raised it to 11-12psi its popping and missing under heavy load..

Could well be an issue with the plugs.. My mate had plugs that were incorrectly gapped in his car, took it to get dynoed and it was missing up around the same rev range.. plugs were regapped and was perfect after that..

It's all right Ian, ive been intouch with Abflug in Japan and ive arranged to have one sent over once the wallet gives me the go ahead lol.. your stagea now nice man, abflug front bumpers look awesome, i was so pissed off when they rang me and said it was damaged! Also i pick the car up today so i'll get some pic's of my wing for you.

Yeah, already contacted them mate. They've told me they can also source parts from Japan not through the auctions and will happily put it into a container to ive provided them all the errelivant information now im just waiting for a reply. Now just gotta keep my fingers crossed. Hopefully what was quoted at $1400-$1600 for a bumper with shipping will be under $1000!

I've been looking at getting a Abflug bumper for my Stagea from Japan and getting it shipped over to Aus. I sent them an email asking if they would ship to Australia and they replyed stating they would but it would cost $800-$1000 as they the box is fairly big. I was pretty shocked as i have been looking at bumpers on Import Monster and by there shipping estimate to have a bumper bar sent from Japan to Australia by ship it would only cost $300. Does this sound right? and would i be better of sourcing my own shipping from Japan to Australia?
