  1. My EGT sensor regularly earths on the chassis causing the light to come on. - It was being stubborn when I 'replaced' the cat, so just cut it and poked it inside cabin til i can be bothered with it. I'm running a power fc but haven't had any engine opertaion issues.
  2. Hi all, Is there any point leaving the air conditioner mount bolted to the block - is the extra bracing required or will the block be fine without - not an n1 block - running std internals and boosts. just tidying up the unwanted ac system while the turbos are off. Cheers Dave
  3. Another thing would be if the later model R32 GTRs with the 320mm front discs still fit under the std 16in gtr wheel?????
  4. Hi all, can anyone tell me the different brake size options that came out on the R32 GTR??? I ordered some 1992 dba rotors that arrived that are way too large, especially the fronts. Barcode was for late model. DBA shows a disc set for the 89-93, and another for late 93-94. So the calipers would also be larger on the later models... would any r33 gtr stuff also bold on to accomodate the late r32 rotors??? Cheers all.
  5. Hey. Anyone know the specs on an R33 series 2 AFM?? I thought i found them.. but it also had in the list the r32 rb26dett AFM ID as 70mm, but i just measured it as 62mm ID so that blew that list away.
  6. Ah ok. Was just going through the whole intake system cleaning out the film of oil from years of EGR systems use. Just saw the BOV test and thought the car must still run well enough for the test (see pic) Is it normal that R32 GTR BOV's leak when they're open to atmo /w BOV diaphram at manifold vacs at idle?? - Yes it is! just saw the stats on the BOV test haha - most cars idle around 5-600mmHg.... this idicates it should start to open at not much more that 100mmHg.. Well there you go. Cheers.
  7. Hey all, I pulled the plumbing off the BOV's and machined up a nice plug for the recirc plumbing, but the car just won't idle. Keeps dropping to almost stalling point before it gasps back to do it all over again. Running very rich too. Whats the problem???? Thoughts anyone???? Cheers.
  8. I'm currently having a similar problem - but yours could be the heat soak immediately after the engine is shut down. Mine is after the car is warmed up. My current guess is the power transistor being heat stressed and damaged. I haven't played with the coil packs wiring loom yet, but its odd that your car should be failing only after restarting it and not though normal driving bumps and vibration, so I'd rule that out - simple continuity test on that part of the looms will prove it damaged or not. Harder to test a power transistor if its cooled sufficiently to work again after its removed for testing.
  9. Went to Mr Nissan today to price up power transistors for the r32 gtr - $950! But the part on their database looked nothing like our huge blocks with heatsinks - was like the smaller R33 gtst items. My question to the GTR gods is this: Are the power transistors from R33 gtst or any others compatible with the r32 GTRs ign. system? Kinda would makes sense as they fire the same coils packs.. Cheers.
  10. How common is it for an r32 gtr power transistor to fail? I've got new coils, recently cleaned inj. but occasionally when the car's hot cyl 3 will miss for a while. Cheers all. Dave
  11. Hey all. Where can it be found?? I've got a version that has the HEATER & AIRCON. sections removed for some reason... the section i'm needing... Cheers
  12. Already removed the AC core and planned on removing the rest... only thing is the getting the a/c pump out looks a bit more involved than i'd hoped. Any ideas gettin it out quickly????? Cheers all, Dave
  13. I know its common, but nothing i've searched suits the description... The low beam cut out when switched to high beam.... It this usually the relay and if so where it is????!!!!! Cheers all, Dave
