Awesome, i think i'll be giving him a call soon about fitting my turbo's, i've been taking my car to Mark for the past 4 or more years and he knows what he's on about when it comes to skylines, he's the main reason i now have an RB26 in my car, he even did all the shopping around to get me a good deal on a motor, he's a top bloke and always a good laugh when Mark's around

its cos your asking to much Damo, i paid $1,260 without tyres for my 18 inch Drift Teks and not that long ago a brought another used set of 18's with good tyres for $900.

its not so bad if you spend that time talking crap about cars to fellow sau buddies

Hey guys, my mate try'd to upload that video onto his computer but he couldn't get it to work, maybe cos the camera is pretty old i think the extra 3 kw was made be the water that was sprayed onto the intercooler on the last run.

Last night after work i decided to go to town on my dump pipes with a die grinder. Where the 2 pipes join together i ground out the hole to perfectly match the shape of the smaller pipe, spent about 1 hour on them as they are stainless so had to try and keep the metal cool. It should help to improve exhaust flow a fair bit

The reverse flow back across the turbo acts on the compressor wheel and causes the turbine shaft to reduce in speed quicker than it would naturally. When the throttle is opened again, the turbo will have to make up for lost momentum and will take longer to achieve the required speed, as turbo speed is proportional to boost/volume flow. (This is known as Turbo Lag) In order to prevent this from happening, a valve is fitted between the turbo and inlet which vents off the excess air pressure. These are known as an anti-surge, bypass, blow-off (BOV) or dump valve. They are normally operated by engine vacuum.

Blow off valves are there for a reason, if they where not needed then Nissan wouldn't waste there time putting them on street cars.

rb20det Engine variations: The rb20det came in two different forms, the earlier red top with the NICS system and the newer silver top version with the ECCS system. The red top is the earlier version of the rb20det and came as standard with the r31 skyline, z32 fairlady and the nissan laurel, whilst the r32 skylines and nissan cefiro came with the silver top version. Just to confuse you more there were a few red top rb20dets with the eccs system, heres some engine power outputs. RB20DET red top 1986-1987: 178bhp (NICS version) 1988-1989: 190bhp (ECCS version) RB20DET silver top 1989 onwards: 215bhp

It was good to see it out on the weekend, looked hot when you let some air out of the bags hope to see you in a Nissan in the near future.

Them telling you the colour will fade is BS, tell them you want it fixed and dont take no for an answer. I had similar problems when i had my car repaired by insurance, was a pain in the ass but i got the car to my standard in the end.
