  5. Blah since I live in a dusty area with a black car which sees a lot of highway kays, I'm forever washing it. I've noticed from using megs wax / autoglym deep shine polish that I can get away with doing several quick washes at the local car was before grime starts to just 'stick' onto the paintwork again. I'm also contemplating getting a clay bar to get the gritty shit out. The only thing I still have a problem with is rainspots mainly After my VN which I owned for 3 years and polished twice in that time and never properly waxed (and in the last 6 months had noticable paint fade on the bonnet and cracking / crows feet on the boot and roof on a resprayed car), I came to see the value in at least making an effort at protecting your car's paintwork.
  6. Also if you ever sell it, getting it painted a white colour will not make it look clashing when it comes to unpainted parts!

  13. good point about the turbo sizes, all that air has to fit in somewhere! (even with the rotary's lower inherent compression ratio). After reading this thread, I can't look at an RX-7 the same way because I'm constantly thinking theres a 3.9 litre motor in there, and my boner goes down just that little bit more
  14. Is there any point to run NOS on a car thats doing anything other than just being pelted down a drag strip (with the cost of refilling mainly in mind).

  16. RB26DETT + R34 N1 turbos (or HKS 2530 or something like that) will get you 300rwkw. NEO motors are slightly easier to mod than RB25 since you can get a plug in Nistune board They also have solid lifters and apparently share the same block as the RB26, they just have a different inlet manifold, single turbo etc. (also damn good on fuel when stock)

  21. yeah its a pet hate of mine to see white cars with a half arsed respray in a totally different colour - i couldnt stand having say a black car then popping the bonnet to see a white engine bay, would remind me of a cheap arsed backyard spray job lol

  23. check out the oil megathread in the general maintenence section, and yeah IIRC Amsoil is not only expensive but fairly well manufactured oils too.
  24. so it *should* have a stagea loom and ECU to run properly then right? I would have thought they would have been the same :S
