played black ops on a mate's 360 last night, seamless gaming experience. seriously WTF. how the f**k can dedicated servers lag like a bitch when shooting at someone, yet playing on a peer hosted match on 360 is perfect. both on cruddy little 1.5mb connections too.

oh there are physics in it? must have missed that. Not a fanboy, hate both consoles equally, but this game sure is one polished turd. The graphics aren't even good for f**k's sake! Even the 'premium' cars are woeful - NFS: Shift was better at modelling car physics, not to mention graphically and aurally.

played it today, it's shit. given that 90% of the cars are 'standard' cars, it feels like a rehash of GT4, the graphics suck and are NOTHING like any of the promo stuff, the cars feel bloody slow, no clutch button, the damage model is a bloody joke, and the sound STILL sucks. Also hate the daft upgrades (i.e put a titanium exhaust on my GT-R and it still looks stock at the tip and sounds like a vacuum). Feels like the game was lazily put together, and am glad I didn't buy it. Forza 3 pisses all over it.

haha yeah I have played with a few fail teams, especially when everyone wants to be a sniper, guess you have to pick your servers! my username strangely enough is Bozodos I tried flying a helicopter a few times, ended in lulz and team rage I had a few issues with lag, but the compensation must be a shitload better than COD (ie not like shoot directly at someone, game lags and then I get stabbed every time)

not really, I just play on public servers with randoms all the time, like every other online shooter (apart from TF2). I like that even if the team isn't working cohesively together, you can still use individual skill to achieve objectives as well! What's your username Ash?

I would personally go for CAS timings of 7 or 8, it makes a noticeable difference

I haven't touched MoH since Fallout New Vegas came out haha

Battlefield Bad Company 2 on a gaming PC

Lol only the past week or so I've FINALLY bothered to start playing it online, and I was like omg this shits all over CODBLOPS in everything!!!! Can't get over how good it looks, and the destructible environments, and that not only can I run it smoothly with everything turned right up on my i5/GTX460 rig, but the lag at even 100ms is still better than COD with 40-50ms!

Ash XMP also overclocks the processor slightly (well at least for Socket 1156 - mine is 2.88 instead of 2.8, no noticeable difference of course). The GSkill is also reviewed quite well, and is signifigantly cheaper than Corsair (paying for branding IMO). Thats a fairly cheap price for 8 gigs of RAM btw

what mobo div? With my Gigabyte one I just set the XMP in the BIOS and away I merrily went (timings of 8-8-8-24 IIRC)

yeah gskill works fine on my GA-P55A-UD4 brah, I got the 1600mhz sticks, n get 8gb not 6 cause of dual channel not triple like said above lol one other thing, if you get the 1600mhz ram you'll need to use an eXtreme Memory Profile in the BIOS (piss easy) or it will run at 1333mhz

hmm you should also mention that magnas are built like and drive like shit too, as well as looking like something a 50 year old accountant might consider "sporty" I dunno, my cammed 5 litre was fairly quick off the line compared to any RB20DET I put it up against, top end was a different story though lol

tbh I'm kinda over Black Ops multiplayer already. MUCH prefer BFBC2, graphics are also a ton better!

welcome to the world of Marc posts. Agree, sound is a vital part of any car game, in recent memory only NFS:Shift has good car sounds, a lot of the cars sounded good on idle in Forza, but all sounded generic at high rpm

I got some heat range 6 plugs, since they are hotter they flash faster

They are also used to ignite the seconday fuel source which powers the heater

Div, it's no worse than Medal of Honor, but yeah generally I get pissed off and quit after about 2 hours or so

+1 for your friend being a nub, but the multiplay is fraught with lag spiking, that and wanting to refresh the server list every time you quit or rejoin a game is annoying, apart from that it's good
