That car was deregistered about 3 years ago, It has to have a full EPA. They have been trying to register it on and off since. She wont pass emissions, to much blow-by . Thats the kind of car you will buy for $25 k .
-
He is still looking i would say...... Someone i know bought a 2000 34 GTR ( no side airbags) , he paid 5 million Yen at auction + fob, you do the sums and see how much it cost him to land and comply.
-
Of course he knows everything, we are the iddiots that are trying to open his eyes. He thinks that people buy a GTR to go shopping in, not to drive it hard and never take it to the track, they buy a corrolla to drive hard.

I think you better start selling currency here, i can get you a few customers if you think you can do better than the banks/ foreign currency dealers. You will make a killing and then you may even be able to afford that "well sorted 33". As for me "get nice", i will but only when you ankowledge that your 86=$ was just out of your hat, old exchange rates. When i say something i can always back it up with facts not fiction or bullshit, i leave that for you. I dont know how many times you have exchanged $ to JPY or other foreing currency, i have done it plenty of times and i never got the true rate. Like i said before the banks want to make a profit, how do you think they will do that if they sell currency for more than they pay for it. If you ever go to japan make sure you dont exchange AUD=JPY there, then you realy find out what profit is all about, their spread there is like 10%.
-
( You cant even get my name half right and you think you can get the exchange rate right. Can you tell me where i can get a higher rate than the published one? Any amount will do, never mind $10k then i can start selling to the dealers, make easy money even on a fraction of Yen never mind 3 yen in $ extra. You think exchanging $10k is a lot of money, its not even pocket money when it comes to exchanging currency. Now i can understand why you think you will buy a "sorted 33 GTR for $23k. In your sleep...........so keep dreaming ........... when you wake up you will realise thats not going to happen any time soon....

He is a dreamer......... He will learn, i'm very sure of that....... he will end up with a lemon if he ever buys one .

Engine + Transmission Oil Cooler Install
wrxhoon replied to SECURITY's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Same reason your radiator hoses are like that, heat rises. -

I dont know who ASX-hoon is but if you refering to me, i'm not a woman, i think you maybe though . Why can't you aknowledge that you have no idea in what you are talking about. No idea on GTR prices and no idea on exchange rates either. I think i have some idea on both as i have done it before so have a few others here that are trying to open your eyes, like blitz, BB, ferni etc.. Why dont you ask allblitz how much a GTR costs in japan and how much it would cost you to land one here and put it on the road . He does it every day...... $ 32k you are getting closer to the mark now for an average 95 model 33 GTR with a tired engine. If you want to pay a bit more you may get a better ( close to sorted ) v-spec.

Ah well he missed out on a near new pump.

There is the car for you Fast, i know this car ( not mine ), its quite a good car, for the money you wont find better. If you are not in Sydney jump in the plane and inspect it now, before its to late ..http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/!cs_content.private_vehicle?vehicle_id=3006471¤t_rec=30&used_rec=2&total_rec=40&sort_type=&total_rec=40&sort_type=&make_id=5&model_id=73&state_id=2&search_distance=25&year_min=1995&year_max=1995

I think you are correct Nick but someone forgot the extra 0 on that number ....... If only i could buy the parts to build it for X3 that amount would be nice... I actualy know someone selling a 33 gtr for $23 k, only one little problem, it was de-registered 3 years ago, it has to go to EPA for full test. He has been trying on and off for the last 3 years to pass but she wont pass emissions, she has to much blow-by. Nothing that $10 k cant fix though. Maybe i should tell Fast to go and buy that ( its well sorted after all and the blow-by comes free).

I thought he wants one for $23k ( stocker), for $28 he wants a series III with leather trim and modded to his liking!! I want to see when he buys one and starts on the mods, then he will see how much they cost, especialy if he ends up with a lemon.....

P.m. sewid, he has a 34 GTR pump for sale.

I have genuine R 34 GTR mats, rear only.

It just goes to show you how missinformed you are, the exchange rate is $1=84.09 JPY as we speak and yesterday it dipped to low 83's. What makes you think you can get 84 today just because the rate is 84? Dont you think the banks want to make a proffit? Thank God for that as i'm a shareholder. The best you will get today would be 82 something . Just in case you dont believe that i know what i'm talking about have a look bellow. I would give you the link but you cant get in unless you are a client and i'm not giving you my password. Just like you are missinformed on the exchange rate, you are equaly missinformed on the car prices . The calculations that i gave you was for a 1.5 mil car and it was the very minimum, i can guarantee you it will cost you more for the reasons i gave you above . As for the 1.5 mil being hefty, i have stats to show you cars ( well sorted , asyou put it) that have sold for well over 2 mil even 3 mil and its very rare that you see one at 1mil or bellow, evn R rated. Good luck hand picking up your stocker sorted 33GTR for $25-28k ( i noticed it went up by a couple $k already). For your information i'm not a dealer but i happen to know how much they sell for, i sold one recently and i own a $ GTR as well as a series III 33 ( well sorted out and not for sale). I agree Nick, well said..

The marks on the belt are there to help you set it up easy, once you turn the donk they wont mate again. As long as the cam gear marks mate with the marks on the backing plate when the crank pulley is on TDC you got it right .

Gearbox And Clutch Issues
wrxhoon replied to LTHLRB's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Why did you bleed the slave in the first place? Did you change the slave? My guess ( only a guess) is that you ran the master cyl dry, so you need to bleed that first. Once you bleed tha master make sure you dont run it dry again ( dont let the fluid go very low, keep refilling it ). Then open the bleed valve on the slave and wait until fluid comes out. Leave it open until all bubbles are gone and thats it. If you want to you can close the bleed valve and have someone pump the pedal for you and while they are holding the pedal to the floor, open the valve but close it before fluid stops coming out, repeat that until no bubbles come out . -

Anyone Used Aussie Car Compliance?
wrxhoon replied to Howie's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
Go to SSPI, speak to Chris, nice bloke he will look after you and give you a good price as well. www.sspi.com.au -
You dont need to run a neg cable to the front of the car. All you need is positive to the front and the neg to the body in the boot somewhere. You beed to vent the box outside, unless you have a sealed battery.

R34 Gtr Front Bottom Lip - Seperate Part?
wrxhoon replied to Andi's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
R34 GTR's have a lip like the 33's but V-specs , M-specs and NUR-specs have an extra lower lip that goes under the car as well , i think thats the one he is talking about. They are not cheap, ring your local Nissan dealer to find out a price. The lip in this pic has the top lip attached to it, the top part of it only comes in the standard GTR's the bottom ( big one) is in adition to the top part in the V-specs. 34_lip.doc -
I only have drivers side.
