  1. Thread hijack........strikes me as funny that the original sellers name is "kon" or maybe "con"
  2. I forgot to put location details!!! Location: I am located in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. Approximately 1 hrs drive from Adelaide CBD. Thanks Eli, I'll take you for a spin next week
  3. Vehicle: R32 GTS-T coupe Motor: RB25DET Neo (60,000 km) Blitz return flow cooler (new) Greddy recirculation valve (new) High flow Catco catalytic converter (new) Stock turbo, stock boost controller, stock dump pipe etc Gearbox: R34 5 speed manual (60,000 km) Wheels/Brakes: Volk GT-C, 18" rears with 235's and 17" fronts with 225's. Front tires near new, rear tires some wear. R33 GTR Brembo discs and calipers (second hand), new pads, front discs machined, new rear disks Body: Full Origin bodykit M-Spec bodykit included (complete kit, front bar, rear bar, rear pods and skirts) Respray in Grigio Avalon (gunmetal grey from 2002 Lamborghini)......to me this is the best feature of the car, the colour's just awesome. It's so dark when there's not much light, but then such a bright silver in the full sun. Clear indicators (Japanese) 35% tint on rear window and quarters Sunroof Nismo strut brace front No brand strut brace rear Rear spoiler deleted, holes welded up before respray One minor dent on the edge of the bonnet that the guide coat didn't show up Interior: Stock interior with blue dash lights VDO Boost, Oil pressure and Voltage guages in centre console Alarm: Full alarm & Immobiliser system (details will be given to the new owner) History: Vehicle was an automatic RB20DET vehicle in 2002 belonging to a chap in the northern suburbs. He decided to do a motor conversion and bought an R34 front cut with 60,000km on it. Put the motor, box, ECU into the 32 then stripped the car for painting. His missus then proceeded to have a baby, so the car sat in his shed till 2008 when I bought it off him. I have been working on it in my shed until two weeks ago when it was finally finished.....only my wife has just had a baby too! Hence why I'm putting it up for sale. I've tried to cart the bub around in it but it's pretty cramped with baby + wife + me, it's not really working. Vehicle is fully engineered with the motor conversion, has had all the necessary emissions, noise and brake tests and passed them all. It's just been through Regency for a full vehicle inspection (required by Dept. Transport for the engine conversion not because of a defect issued) and it passed Regency except for some bushes needing replacement and the rear steering tie rods have a bit of play in them. It is booked into Ashley at Classic Performance at Hackham next week to get all issues sorted, then a follow up Regency visit. This car has nothing on it that is defectable, every modification has been checked at Regency and approved. Please note, the vehicle will not be actually sold until it has it's final inspection. The car runs stock boost. I have put about 1500 km on it in the last two weeks since finishing it and I would anticipate another few hundred km before selling. It will be available for sale as soon as Ashley finishes putting the bushes in and it's been through Regency again. All parts on the car that have brands listed are genuine brands, not copies. Km on the car are 108,000, but it has the typical misaligned odometer digits which suggests that at some point the mileage has been wound back. I feel confident that the km on the motor/gearbox are legitimate, as it is a 2000 motor and was bought in 2002, 60,000km in two years is quite reasonable. Please note, test pilots/joyriders will not be tolerated. If you are not a serious buyer don't bother ringing me. If you mistreat the car whilst test driving it you will be reported to the police. Sorry, but that's the way it goes. Pictures: See below (please note, the last picture I think I overexposed or something, as the colour's a bit washed out) If you want any more pictures please just ask!! I am on the computer every couple of days, so can get more pictures up usually within two or three days. Contact details: Mob. 0434 924 001 or PM me on here Price: $16,000......this does not even remotely cover what I've spent on it in cash and time, but is a fair price for the vehicle. I may consider a part trade for a cheaper, more family orientated car plus cash my way, but would prefer a straight sale.
  4. Fair call. I wouldn't mind knowing exactly what happened someday, as I've gotta put it up for sale and get a 'baby friendly' car.
  5. Wonder what's the exact go with my 32.....when I went through Regency last week they pointed out that the VIN number on the compliance plate is completely different to the VIN number on the chassis. Regency staff said it was listed as 'stolen but recovered' and they had restamped a new VIN on the strut tower when it was recovered. It all checked out legit and is registered with the restamped VIN........ Anyone heard of that happening before? Seemed weird to me but they passed it ok!
  6. What she said.......rules must have changed Engineering's no hassle anyway, pretty straightforward.
  7. In another post you said you had to get your RB26 conversion engineered.....?
  8. So your 'worn bushes' weren't worn? Mine were, they had collapsed and were leaking oil. I think the general consensus is that it seems to depend on the inspector you have!
  9. The inspector told me that ALL coilovers are legal provided they have written engineering documentation to say that the ride height they are set at is safe. They don't have to be welded at that height and can remain adjustable (I asked him that) but if you are caught with them at the wrong height you will get a defect. He said people are allowed to put them in and get them engineered at a height suitable for street use, but can then dump them on the ground for track use as long as they are returned to street height before leaving the track.
  10. Bengi I couldn't get my skyline on the hoist, my front bumper was too low. Their hoist has too much ramp angle even for a car that has the required 10cm distance between the ground and the front bumper, especially skylines with their long overhang, I can drive over speed humps, up gutters etc without ever scraping. But they got me to drive on backwards and it was ok. I must have got someone reasonable.
  11. Watcha mean a setup....? And no I don't work for Regency Luke was your car modified? They told me I could put coilovers and stuff on if I wanted to, provided I got them engineered. I thought coilovers were illegal!
  12. What have you been pulled up on Luke? The bloke checking did say when I was leaving "See you in a couple of months" and when I asked him what he meant said "You drive a Skyline, therefore the police will defect you and send you back here whether the vehicle's roadworthy or not", but I felt that indicated the police may have a tendency to discriminate, not necessarily the inspection officers.
  13. As the title states I went to Regency for the first time today to get a vehicle inspection on a 32 I've just converted to an RB25DET Neo. I went in trembling and shaking expecting the worst, but came out feeling that the department is understanding and decent, with a necessary focus on vehicle safety. The vehicle requires a few bushes replaced and the reversing lights are faulty, but each thing they listed was a fair safety thing which I'm glad they pointed out. So what's the big Regency fear I read about on the forums??
  14. Makes sense. How many deg camber do you achieve with the 33 arms?
  15. Nzm.031, quick question. You bought R33 lower control arms, are they the same length as R32? I bought an R32 shell for a project a while back, and it had massive negative camber on the front left wheel, which I traced to a longer lower control arm. I suspected it was from an R33 and I wondered if people deliberately use them to achieve camber........is that your aim?
  16. What he said^^ The other thing you can do which works quite well, is to get some thick masking tape and fold 1/3 of it back on itself, then have the folded line as the edge where you want a 'soft' paint edge. I've done this a bit and after buffing you can't tell where the join is. But it's a good idea to do all joins along a crease/change in direction of the car somewhere which gives additional 'blendedness' if you get what I mean. People expect to see a change in paint a little bit at a crease so it gives you a bit more breathing room if you make a mistake.
  17. Roy has a picture of his car in one of the last pages of the thread titled "R32 pics"
  18. Your front and rear windows can be done with generic rubber trim and can come out looking A1, I just had mine replaced like that, cost me $100 installed (for both, not each). Quarter windows (in the 2 door) I went to a wrecker and sorted through all of the windows and found the best ones, these cost $300. Trouble with the quarter windows is very few people take the care needed to remove them properly, usually people just 'wire' them out which puts all sorts of dents/cuts in the rubber surround. Even the best I could find aren't perfect. (btw, new ones are more expensive than they're worth). The rubber trims around the doors can usually be made to look pretty good with some rubber restorer. Obviously this won't get rid of cracks but it does give them back some suppleness. That's the best I could do with mine anyway (just repainted it). Hope it helps.
  19. Kails, I'm impressed that you know my mobile number when I have never given it to you nor do we know who each other is.......or are you stalking me around SAU and found it from my 'for sale' threads? Anyhow, you mustn't have my number as I have not received any SMS's........are you able to please PM me what you sent 'someone' in the SMS? Thank you kindly, Sparky
  20. I believe according to forum rules I am permitted an occasional bump.......so bump!
  21. Hi Kails, Underneath and to the rear of the handbrake/centre armrest box there is a small metal bracket to screw the box to. I am missing this in the 32 I am building. Do you have one you could sell please? Thank you. Sparky
  22. Awesome, sounds like a bride's the way to go... scandyflick & sean, are the fixed back's legal in SA? I want to keep everything legit so if I'm ever pulled over it's 'undefectable' and I thought I had to have a reclinable seat. saweet4dr, is yours the sunroof model? I think that's my issue, that drops the roof lining significantly.
