Hi all! I need some technical help here with my display panel.. I have an R34 with triptronic, but I ve recently just realised that on the front display panle where all the tachos are, the gear display LED and the " P - R - D - N - 1 -2" lights have gone out. Im not sure if im making sense here..but like in the triptronic, if u shift up u see the 1,2,3,4 LED lights.. How do I fix it..? lol Cheers

thanks for the very informative reply, u seem to kno the little details to the Skyline... just another thing regarding the heat issue, do u think it ll damage the engine if it is left like dat? im plannin on gettin a carbon fibre heat shield if this is goin to cause too much drama.... Cheers

Hey guys, just one quick noobie question, when i replace my stock R34 air box wit an Apexi pod, there was this black straw like tube connected to the top half of the air box sorta like a black rubber tube (very thin, about 70mm thin). Does any one know what it is or where should i put it? Cos the there is no other holes on the pod to stick this....lol And another thing, will the new pod drasticlly affect the amound of air that is being inducted into the engine? Thanks for the help.. Hey Just one really quick question, my friend called me up b4 and asked me, do I kno wat the stock R34 muffler inlet pipe size is as she wants a new muffler for her Skyline.. and since my own R34's exhaust system and muffler is all aftermarket alas i hav no idea wat the original size was...... Does anyone kno the stock R34's Muffler inlet pipe diameter..? (its the pipe that connects to the muffler's inlet pipe which should be the same size to fit... if im makin any sense....lol) and also is it the same for the turbo as it is for the NA..? cos the exhaust system's functional theory is totally different for the turbo and the NA and i d reckon the the piping size would be diff too... but i could be wrong...: ) cheers!! I guess when come to this specific topic, IMO, ultimatly it comes down to the driver and their attitude. The relationship between havin mods in ur car and havin accidents bcos of that really is a vague topic... I ve swapped out my turbo for an aftermarket Apexi, full cat bak Borla exhaust + pod and i ve never being booked for speedin, parkin, red lights etc. and i have had no on road accidents...(except tat once i backed my car in to the neighbour's front gate....lol ...good excuse to get custom tail lights huh..?! lol) so ultimatly its the minority few that give us the majority a bad name and car tunin industry a bad light... in the end its not the ride its the rider...

My 2 cents... I drive a R34 GTT and I ve also driven a NA R34, and honestly i dont see wats all the fuss with NA bein a lesser option to the Turbo, i mean yeah sure its a bit slower, I mean srsly and I do mean practically u dont go fast enough or often enough on the roads to really need it, its not like ur racing everyday to work and back. Provided the fact dat u drive responsibly and do not wish to fork out 80 bucks a week on petrol or those potential speeding tickets. and wit the mild petrol prices, u'll be floorin the car less and less... Furthermore if just put aside all bias, hype and testostrone regarding NA vs turbos and have a look at the cars as they are in their everyday perspective, eg goin to work, goin out, shoppin. etc u really need to make a no BS cost benefit assessment on wat u really need based on your driving habits and expecatations. So the point im tryin to make is dat I m not sayin the turbo isnt good or anythin ( i drive one my self and i d be slappin my self in the face if i did), im just sayin theres nothin wrong with ownin a NA, provided fact that u love Skylines as they are and at the same time still care for ur wallet size and road safety. But the turbo is still the icing and cant argue wit it, however Nissan made the NA for a purpose not just cos they ran out of turbos and decided to run off a few thousand without it ...lol..But srsly if its made then we should respect its purpose, after all its still part of the Skyline family. IMO Supra is relatively old, small interior, and IMO the engine has done and gone passed its golden ages, so u gotta consider the years left in them and the potential repairs u ll need to face, but then again its all personal perspectives... but in all considerations, Skyline is a Skyline, u cant compare...its in the blood Skyline for life...

hi I just recently brought a pair of white LED parkers (out of impluse) for my R34 and then i realised i have no idea how to install it.... lol should have thought of this b4... is there a thread that xplains this..? Cheers Chen

hahaha no fuses.... lov it! go one better lol imagine dad sneakin into the garage at night with a tool box and the next day i try sneak a drive when no ones around, ignites the engine, unleashes the beast only to find the steering wheel gone...XD now dat is nasty...

as far as i see it the R34 GTT's engine to weight ratio is over the specification of a "high powered" vehicle, i dont think it has anything to do with the new rules of Green Ps... 125 kw per tonne is the ratio but from wat their website denotes, it doesnt matter if it is turbo or not as long as the engine to weight ratio is breached u can drive it... http://gls.arrivealive.vic.gov.au/pplates/...ehicles_ps.html sort of doesnt make sense...c below accordin to their site : "Nominated vehicles with low powered turbocharged or supercharged engines including Suzuki Cappucino 2D Cabriolet Turbo 3 cylinder 698cc, Daihatsu Copen L880 2D Convertible 4 cylinder 659cc (are not restricted)" not that u d want to drive any of those... but u get the point turbo ok as long as engine to weight ratio is not surpassed... but if u got ur Ps after 1/07/08 then there is more restrictions on engine mods... check out the site... this if for Vic... so other rules may apply interstate...

hey all! Im a Melb kid almost off my P's and was lookin to source a R34 asap to replace my current car that is almost about to choke... So i had a look around and saw this R34 GT-T up for grabs but the only issue is that i m still on my Ps now and if i buy it now i would'nt be able to drive it for a few good month so... this other day a R34 GT came up so my dilemma is dat should i wait until im off my Ps and go for the extra T or get the GtT now and not drive it or worst case get the non turbo.......... =.= the point is that my current car is almost dead so i really need a car now... another thing i was worried about is that i ve been on auto ever since i got my Ps so i have never driven an manu car b4... so i if i get the R34 GTT auto it would be like gettin nachos without the cheese.... so please all u skyline pros plz help me make the right decision...! -lol these forum has answered more questions for me in a hour then all of my lame research in the last 2 months... awsome site!
