  1. Is it a T25 or T3 flange on that stock manifold? I tough it was T3 ...
  2. Do you mean that crank bearing fit or the actual crank itself....so the GTR is exactly the same size (rod and crank) (except stroke) physicaly....it's only made stronger?

I will soon install the RB in my Silvia S14...and before that I want to make sure that my RB won't fail soon (like my SR did) So I want to change all the weak point of the RB25...I would like to change the bearing on the crank and connecting rod..but could only find some for RB26... are they using the same??? If not, were can I find RB25 bearing (after market one or new one)? (I live in Canada...so I can't go to the Nissan dealer) Here is the list of thing I plan to change to "refresh" the engine: crank and connecting rod bearing headgasket for metal one to lower C/R to ~8.5 New Ring Exhaust cam gear (I will also upgrade the turbo, injectors, ECU.....) Should I get the connecting rod shot peened and strengthened ? Does this process really help? how much does it cost ~$ While I'm there should I put stock RB26DETT pistons ? are they bolt-on ? Is the stock intake manifold too restrictive for ~275rwkw ??? My goal is ~ 275rwkw Thanks!

Too much fun ran 15 psi for 20 000KM on it (it was used when I got the engine) It failed when I was doing 200KM/H and I couldn't figure our why it didn't want to go faster(at this time bearing were melting)...until I took the next exit and the engine stall...I re-started it....and ear clunk clunk clunk clunk..... Connecting rod bearing on the crank shaft...but with the LOUD noise it made, I knew it wasn't anymore a simple bearing change..but crank too, so I said fu$k it, and I bought a RB25DET... I starting the swap very slowly, cause I want to mod it at the same time & change timing belt.....bigger turbo, oil cooler,Injectors, Z32 MAF, ECU upgrade, water/air intercooler(the same one that I had before on my SR, a PWR from Australia....)   5. When your car run everything should be OK, cause the Alternator generate enough current... For your idle problem & missing, I would suggest re-grounding the engine, MAF and battery ... (with non permanent wire at first, then see if it make a difference, if so install those GND. To verify if you really need GND, take a multi-meter, and measure voltage between frame GND, and engine, then MAF, then battery, and see if you read any offset! (check in DC mode, then check in AC, AC will give you the noise measurement, and DC only offset)
  6. What exhaust manifold were you running with that turbo? Stock one modified for a external wastegate?
  7. It must be possible on race fuel, but it won't last... I have a few friend who are pushing ~ 400 HP on their SR20DET...but the change engine once a year...(and some time twice a year for one of them!) I guess you have to pay the price for those 120MPH speed trap on 1/4 mile

The problem...is with a 10 psi spring, even if you unplug the wastegate actuator pressure line, it will start to open by itself at a certain boost pressure cause the exhaust flow become strong enough to make it open slowly..and then you have reached the maximum boost for that actuator! I had that problem on my SR20DET, I couldn't boost more than 16 psi cause of the actuator...I was on my way to put a stronger spring (stock actuator is 7 psi) but I blew my engine before that
  9. The spring in the wastegate is the minimum boost you will be able to run... Then the boost controler (manual or electronic) just bleed or control the boost line going to the actuator, therefore it won't open until the boost controler send the a boost value to the actuator that is equivalent to the spring in the wastegate actuator.
  10. Anyone here pushing ~475 ? What turbo would you recomend for that crank HP, T3/T04S ??? What trim would be the best for top end without killing the low end too much? This is for a Silvia S14 with a RB25DET swap in progress... I don't want to keep the stock turbo, since it can only support ~ 320 HP. What is the stock head gasket limit (for high boost) on the RB25DET What is the biggest weakness on the RB25DET ? (if I don't have detonation and keep @ A/F of 11:1 ) I used to have a fully modified SR..HKS cams, cam gear, GT2530 turbo, ecu, oil cooler.... until it blew 3 weeks ago.
