Hi all Just wondering if anyone knows will an R34 GTR wheel fit on an R33 GTR I have a S1 R33 GTR with a very worn wheel and want to swap. The R33 wheel looks bad anyway and a good 2nd hand one will cost $300 The 34 looks good and wondering if it will fit and airbag etc will all function OK

Thanks for the replyBut what exactly does "turn fuel down a couple" mean My battery is flat at the moment so can't check hand controller, and I know Ign/Inj settings section, but can't picture the screen So how specifically would I make the adjustment Keeping in mind it as a temp fix until proper tune

Hi guys, Just had an intake manifold gasket replaced on my 33 GTR. Now it it is running way too rich and needs retune. I haven't had it long and suppose that it was last tuned compensating for the air leak. Now it is running way too rich and after 10km or so the plugs become so fouled up it is almost undriveable. It has a PFC of which I know little. My question is does anyone know if there is a quick way of changing a setting or 2 on the hand controller, or is a complete remap required. Just so I can get it to the tuners reliably (and prior to that to the exhaust shop) Otherwise its plugs out before each trip and then at the tuners. Any help would be much appreciated Cheers

Where did you get your car tuned last time ????
-
They are expensive but they seem very thorough and I'm sure they would do a proper tune. ie not just a WOT tune for power As I drive this car a lot for work I want a proper all round tune which does take a long time to do properly so I still will consider taking it to them. They seem very professional and thorough But yeah $1700 is a lot of money for a tune

I know what he means !!!!!! About $1700

Thanks guys looks like I chose a pretty good place then Will let you know how it goes after tomorrow's visit

what does that mean?

Hi all Just bought an R33 GTR with PFC and noticed ign timing setting is 0 degrees and all values in ign map are 0. It goes OK (except for bad idle) and have booked in for a tune but this looks weird to me. Does anyone know what it should be I would think -15 to -20 timing and map with slight changes from that. This is my first PFC car. If I am correct I think my car will go a lot harder after a proper tune! Any ideas people?

Anyone tried using Tokyo Motorsport in Welshpool for a tune. Please let me know what you thought of their service
-
Not many tuners have 4WD dynos and these 2 have been recommended once each (not sure about them though)

I was tossing up between Allstar and Tokyo Motorsport in Welshpool After speaking to both on the phone I have decided to book in with Tokyo Anyone had any dealings with them??

Thanks guys, Any suggestions for a good tuner Allstar Garage????

Hi all, I have just bought an R33 GTR (upgrade from my R33 GTST) and in the process of ironing all the bugs out. Wondering if anyone who knows PFC's could help as I've never had 1 before. The idle is high and a bit rough. (1100-1200 RPM) I adjusted under the bonnet and it goes all the way to the end of adjustment and is still too high. When I try to turn down on the PFC it hunts like crazy. So I had a look at the ign timing on the PFC and it says 0 degrees Thinking this was odd (my GTST was set at the CAS for -20 degrees) I changed the ign timing on the PFC to - 15 degrees and the idle went right down to 800 and was beautiful and smooth. But when I accelerated no power at all. With my limited knowledge of tuning I suspect that the fuelling maps would now be - 15 degrees out so that explains why it was sp sluggish. So if this is correct should the ign timing and the maps be changed or should this really be at 0 degrees and something else is wrong.?? (it goes great at WOT by the way) Also can anyone recommend a good tuner with a 4WD dyno that will do a good job?? Thanks guys

With all due respect "are you on drugs" )))The dust seal is concertinaed so as you push the clutch in the rubber dust cover squashes up. Also I want to know how removing the instrument cluster which is 3 feet above would help. But thanks anyway for bothering to assist

Still can't find how to adjust clutch Some people say there is no adjustment Some say there is and its simply to adjust the rod but it certainly isn't easy There is a pedal height adj with a 14mm locknut That doesn't help the grab point tho. Then there is the rod/shaft that goes into the clutch cylinder thru the firewall A 12mm locknut is on this but there is a rubber grommet/dust cover that covers the rod completely from the locknut to the firewall so there is no way I can see to turn the rod. Can anyone shed some light on this PLEASE Its driving me crazy and I have tried hard to research this to no avail.

Someone with a R33 GTR must have adjusted their clutch.......please help!

Engineers report was required for pod FMIC and aftermarket struts (with camber adj arms) But they were giving me the full treatment after I gave them some backchat and a burnout, so you may be lucky.
-
Passed the emission test Got the yellow off!!!! I was worried for nothing about the emissions Did take 4 pit inspections and 2 engineers reports tho, so I was pretty negative Thanks guys for all your inputs

Got my yellow off Now have permits for FMIC and pod and struts I will keep in the glove box for the next plod attack

I tried but failed in adjusting clutch On my GTST there is a 12mm lock nut and a post to screw in/out On the GTR the setup is the same but the post is covered by a rubber grommet all the way from the locknut to the firewall. I tried to pull the grommet back but it doesn't look like it should be messed with. There is also a pedal adjustment that doesn't effect grab point just gives you a longer or shorter maximum throw of the pedal HELP Anyone ??? Does this mean there is no adjustment and my clutch is worn?
-
I will try tonight to adjustIf I have a problem I will take pic and post Thanks for your reply

Thanks for your suggestionI downloaded service manual. Went through all 489 pages and you wouldn't believe no mention of clutch at all!! It certainly has eveything else I could need so very helpful but still no wiser as to how to adjust clutch I suppose I will just have a play and see what happens Suppose I can't do too much wrong Thanks again
