  1. I have had a bizzare thing just happen to my R34GT-T Both blinkers are stuck on. They are not blinking, they are just on. They stay on when the ignition is off, which seems weird as Im sure the blinkers dont normally work then. I have had to pull the lead from the battery to turn them off. Is there anyway that the blinker or hazard light switch could be responsible, or is the culpret more likely to be the Alarm system playing silly buggers (It still seems to be working ok, but it is wired into the blinkers somehow).
  2. Well my R34 has finally hit the 100k mark and needs a major service. Im looking for a good place in Sydney to do this.(further west the better) Somewhere that knows PFCs as well. (I want mine retuned at the same time) Any recommendations, or even places to avoid? Also, roughly what should I be expecting to pay for a 100k service (including new Belt)?
  3. Cleaned injectors, changed filter and ran a few tanks through it since then. Fuel economy is better, but not back to what it was (About 1/2 way there) Still got the knocking under load I think you may be onto sonthing here. How long should iridium plugs last before being replaced?
  4. Is yours the one often parked accross from supacheap?
  5. Its hard to miss Carls . Mine is a more sedate Silver. Ive had the R34 for well over 5 years now (first one in town ) Either of the Shells on the highway (depends which way Im driving at the time) Now theres a thought....I think I might change the fuel filter and take the injectors downtown and have them cleaned.
  6. The hand controller is attached and just sitting in the glovebox, so I spose the buttons could have been pressed by other stuff sitting on it. Thanks, will do so.
  7. Vey easy, think less than 1/3 throttle I had considered this, but its getting worse after several tanks from a couple of different servos. its not so much the k's its the sudden change Thanks, will do so.
  8. Also, What else should I be checking?
  9. My main concern is "has started knocking under medium load." As for the fuel economy, I would think noting that Its started using 9L more per 500km may be useful information to working out whats gone wrong dont you? FMIC, PFC, Eboost (usually leave it at 1/2 bar when commuting), Turbo back exhaust, Pod and thats about it. No changes here for a couple of years. Ok, so it wont drift, but any way it could have been reset if the battery was disconnected or something like that?
  10. It hasent really heated up out here yet, nothing like summer which was fine, and same knocking problems in the morning when its quite cool still.I spose I will have to make a Trip to Sydney to visit a Tuner. Normally 45L for 500k, this time it was 54L for 500k.(most of my driving is commuting to work which is pretty much just hightway cruising.)
  11. Lately my R34 GT-T has started knocking under medium load. (Moderate accelleration uphill) It seems to be down on power and chewing through more fuel, I only got around 500k from the last tank. I had a basic service last week, but if anything its gotten a little worse. When it origionally started happening I thought it may be a bad batch of fuel, but that was several tanks ago now and its slowly getting worse. I was wondering if its possible for a PFC to loose its tuning, and if so, how to tell?
  12. See you all in Bathurst Silver R34 GT-T
  13. Excellent! I think thats enougth for a private group Ohhh I hate early starts....
  14. I understand that about 12 people have paid deposits to date to its on I have room for 1 passenger (or 2 of your short enougth for the back of an R34), leaving Bathurst about 7am.
  15. Yeah they are a pain to organise... However, this one should be fine. A bunch of us Bathurst guys play when we get the chance and are keen for another game. Ive got the date on my calander
  16. I dont think I can get away in the morning so at this stage rule me out. I you guys are calling in a maccas for a while at Lithgow on the way back, gimmie a call, a short cruise is better than none I spose...
  17. Timing causing it to drop back to stock boost????
  18. Great Is there any guides around for that in English? My PFC manual is in Japanese.
  19. As the topic says, I have two quick PFC questions. The car has to go into the panelbeaters for a couple of weeks. 1 - Will the PFC loose its programmed settings if the battery is disconnected for an extended period? (2 weeks maybe) 2 - What can I do with the PFC that will stop any idiot having fun while I leave the car there. For instance, can I program a temporery 3000rpm rev limit without stuffing up my usual PFC program?
  20. Anyhow... Just as a further note, Im insured with Shannons. Just wanted to say that the assessor was great, he "didnt want to take any shortcuts on a car like this" Been great service from them so far. So two thumbs up for Shannons
  21. Well the incorrect glue managed to hang on for 30 odd years... Still hanging on now as just having a close look at it now shows all the glue blobs covered with the cardboard covering off the gyprock. i guess the cardboard covering just came away when it was wet.
  22. Glue was used. Its the same colour as the timber so it just didnt show up in the pics.
  23. The assessor has been to see it. He has said it needs a full respray. Over 5k Just waiting for written notification to go ahead with that now.
