Have searched forum but cant find it. Can anyone tell me how to check timing on a NEO engine... Through my search i found out the series 1 has a small wire above the rear of the head where you connect your timing light to check timing but the S2 neo is different.

Just found out our S2 has a blown headgasket. Not a good time of year for this to be happening! Holiday plans postponed... Does anybody know of any reputable machine shops in sydney that are experienced with the RB25 head? I also need info on torque settings and timing belt setup, timing marks etc. and can i get a VRS kit to suit RB engine. I will be ringing around to try and chase bits and peices, but was hoping somebody who has had to go through this could steer me in the right direction.

nice! so a max tow bar it is! gonna ring him and order one now. so any mods have to be done to fit yours? might try do it myself as i have acces to workshop and welder...

was getting that without towing! may i ask where you got the tow bar from?

just a little update on our 'LEMON' stagea. found out the timing has been fidled with, was 10 degrees retarded adjusted it to full advance and just made it to spec. looks like timing belt out 1 tooth.FAAARK! and just the other day engine started to missfire after start up and found a coil pack to be the problem. $$$... and just when it was looking good with the fuel economy! Does anybody know where to get aftermarket parts in sydney or on the net?

got O2 sensor and coolant sensor today.replaced both so will see how it goes. the car runs fine, almost perfect except for a slightly high idle ( bout 950-1000). car is driven conservatively every day with no spirited driving done by the mrs... I struck gold today (was at nissan buying parts) and caught up with an old friend working as mechanic at nissan so i organised to get the fault codes checked on the weekend. FREE. how good is that! also does upgrading the exhaust system really make a big difference? only ask cause we prefer to leave it standard and use it as a family wagon. we may consider exhaust if it is quiet. what do you mean by safc? fuel only controller or replacement power fc?

hi peoples, we just bought our first stagea a week ago S2 RS4. absolutely love the car and the way it drives. but very poor fuel economy bout 300 on full tank of bp ultimate... ouch! have noticed the engine light has come on twice now and goes away after i shut it down and restart. we have serviced it,including fuel filter,and cleaned AFM and throttle body. will be changing O2 sensor and coolant temp sensor this weekend. hopefully. providing i can get the parts. any other suggestions?
