  1. What sort of mods did you have to make 226.7? I'm currently hitting 228.3 with pod filter and a turbo back exhaust. Just picked up a fmic, going to fit in in a month or so and then an safc2. I'm really only wanting to hit 270 (200rwkw) so I'm hoping I can push that with just the safc2 and fmic. I'll also hit up a boost controller too I think.
  2. Western Australia has critically small populations of the endangered Australian Sea Lion due to impacts from sealers and settlers in the nineteenth century. These endangered populations are now under increased threat from crayfishing, as around 10 Sea Lion pups per year are being caught in craypots and drowning. The WA populations are specifically at risk because they have very slow breeding rates, the colonies are isolated, and generally only half of the pups will survive after weaning. The death of even 10, can have a major impact in a population that may have only 150 surviving pups. It’s critical that we ensure the survival of every pup we can. The fisheries Minister Jon Ford can save the sea lions, by enforcing the application of Sea Lion Exclusion Devices (SLED’s) in craypots, whilst ensuring the industry can operate in the region. Extinction is not an option. Please see the following link and send an email or a letter to Jon Ford to help save these cute furry buggers that would bite your hand given the opportunity! http://www.wilderness.org.au/campaigns/mar...ve_wa_sea_lion/
  3. ADR (not sure which one specifically) apparently says that if you have xenons installed your lights have to be self cleaning and self levelling. From talking with the blokes at the pits, they've said as long as the light is white, there won't be a problem. The kit I installed in my r33 18 months ago is easily removed (15 minute job) so its not a massive problem if you get a canary.
  4. Two e-tickets (barcode in an email) for Rock-It at Joondalup. Oasis and Foo Fighters are just a couple of the bands playing. $220 the pair (am open to offers, so long as they don't involve chickens (goats are fine)). email [email protected] or call 0412 527 661. Regards, Jason.
  5. completely off topic but I spotted you on the freeway on Friday (if you're the one with RTHIRTY3 plates) I think you saw me cruise by in the other Silver 33 near Stirling station or there abouts.
  6. very tidy car guys, and cam has treated it very well. free bump buddy
  7. if anyone needs a hand to install them, let me know. Paul (sil80) and I did mine about 18 months ago and I've also helped a mate put some in his sti. Jason.
  8. I guess it depends on how tight the cover is to the car and the type of material you have on the inside of the cover against your car as well as how often you clean your car.
  9. I'd thought the same thing about a cover and am currently in the process of designing one that has some stainless steel cable in it (think elastic track pants style) that is then padlocked onto the car so it stays on and is hard to remove. I'll let you know how I go with it (if I get off my ass and start really looking into it)
  10. Deluxe, I'm agreed that it sounds pretty fully on for little return, but each to their own. It'll make his Skyline unique and stand out amongst the other 39489482948294824.2 skylines around. I put HIDs in my 33 early last year and love them, except the headlight plastic is a little shoddy, no matter how much you polish them, they still have small imperfections. Personally, I'd buy a new seat of r33 headlights and put a headlight protector over it so they keep that brand spanking new look to them good project none-the-less, and if I can get a hold of the projectors cheaply/free, I'm sure I'd do something similar
  11. wow, it looks good. how much is this costing you to do? Are you going to put up an install guide if others want to do it? Does it light up the road like a motherf**ker?!
  12. you're up near joondalup right? perhaps we could catch up one day and I could take a look at the progress?
  13. I had a Stratos 300 installed in my car about 2 years ago when it arrived from japan. the company here in Perth that install them do the FACTORY installations for Ford and Holden and I have had NO problems whatsoever with mine over the past two years. http://hate-tank.net/car/new%20pics/ There are a couple of before and after pics in the link above. It cost me $1200 or $1295 (can't remember exactly) and I've thoroughly enjoyed it since it was put in. My opinion is, if you've got the money and want a sunroof, get it done. They're awesome
  14. dave, I picked up a heap of meguiars stuff on Monday, paint cleaner, deep crystal polish and a few other bits and pieces, but the oxidisation is really stuck in. I don't want to cut and polish it myself as I believe that a proper buffing pad on a drill or whatever would be the best way to go (plus i'm a lazy crunt). kym, will speak to you more tomorrow mate
  15. I've got a bit of oxidisation on both the tops of my front quater panels and am looking for recommendations of a place to take it to to have a real good cut and polish done on the entire car to get it a bit ... tidier Any suggestions or comments? I spent 3 hours on Monday using meguiars paint cleaner and then crystal polishing it and only did the front quarters, bonnet and both doors. a big effort after an hour of washing it too and it didn't get rid of the oxidisation Jason.
  16. so basically, the only thing that makes the climate control green, is the green "cap" on top of the bulb? I'll definately be changing mine to a bright white/blue led I think
  17. in all honesty, unless you have it done professionally and have some clear coating put over it, you'll find that it'll wear in places and chip quite easily. to take the dash surround off, take a look in the Tutorial / FAQ / DIY section, there is a how-to there.
  18. maybe ask them what they did to it and see if they can fix it? probably a good idea!
