  1. Updates! ok, after running around this morning this is the info i have come up with. 1. A wrecker has a second hand on for $330 but who's to say its any better than the one i have so i wont be taking this option unless its a last resot. 2. I went to VEEM and john (very helpful) there confirmed 100% both the uni's on my shaft are well rooted and hes getting back to me with a quote tomorrow he thinks around the $600 mark, hes not sure weather we can reuse and of the old shaft or housings so ill have to wait and see. 3. Went to magic nissan and a new shaft is 1300 shipped! (oh snap) i expected as much though, so yeah im waiting to hear from VEEM i'll let yall know how i go!
  2. BTW, any recomendations on wreakers to try? i only ever went to 1 when i had my s13 because it was pretty trouble free.
  3. ah ok ill see how i go with them tomorrow otherwise i guess its second hand ey, the thing that gets me is the fact the unis look ok, btw it only had the vibration once its warmed up and it was bad at 80k's and 100k's, so i think it must take time for the uni's to heat up and loosen what do you reakon Rooster?
  4. I'm running shitty roh wheels ATM all with the same profile Tyres so Im guissing it's not that.
  5. yeah i only drove about 20 k's just to check without the rear loosing traction, but then there are mixed opinions weather it does damage or not, but anyway i think the stagea shaft is the non servicable i cant see any circlips so i might take it to VEEM they are a well know shop here in W.A.
  6. Hi everybody i have an interesting problem for ya, I have had a vibration problem when cruising since i bought my car a month ago, since then i read the thread about the front drive shaft uni joints and other people descriptions of the symptoms seamed the same as mine..... so today i pulled my front drive shaft out and went for a drive and what do you know the vibration has gone completely yay! but looking at my uni joints they look pretty OK, im wondering wether i should try another shaft of if i can have mine rebuilt and balanced here in W.A. What should i do? any help would be great Cheers fellas.
  7. just a suggestion im planning to use a pod in my standard airbox something like apexi makes because of the size, and use the stock snorkle for feed and also make a cold air feed when i get my FMIC.
  8. just a question for everyone in here who has taken there dash apart a few times, does anyone else have spastic cup holders? what did you do to fix them? mine sort of work but they hang to one side and look funy.
  9. firstly i got the part number slightly wrong they and 270 front and 143 rear i know im a winnner but i cant edit my post. secondly my pads are bedded in and feel great, they showed no signs of fading even after about 8 heavy brake applications (80km/h-20km/h). They difinately brake better than my old ones so the seem great for my everyday use. now iv just gotta track down my pesky wired vibrations when cuising. its all fun in the import game lol
  10. /\/\/\/\ thanks for your help mate but i ended up buying the superfighters from a local dealer cause i didnt want to wait. Rhet

  12. there $159 a pair, you can get them for less on NS.com but i like the fact i cant take these back if they dont fit and exchange so its worth the extra $20.
  13. for anyone that cares in perth i went to Vision R today and it seems he has the right ones, im going to grab a full set on payday. He said if i accidently get the wrong ones (there were a couple to choose from) i can exchange back till we get it right. will post results, word

  18. Yes i searched and looked in the DIY section but i found alot of conflicting answers, some post were from like 2005. Anyway i'm the new owner of a 1997 stag and i nee to do the pads all round, so if someone could point me in the right direction with where to buy and some part numbers for front and rear that would be awsome. I'm sure its been asked before so im sorry but oh well, while im here whats with the threads not opening fully on here and having to click each individual post? im probly missing something simple im sure but i couldn't figure it out. cheers
