  1. I am thinking of fitting white dials to my dash in my r33.

    few questions for the guru's.

    I done it before on a vn. easy. pull needles off, attach dials and replace.

    i done it in a vlt. pain in the arse! once you pull the needle off, the mechanism floats around - the needle could go backwards. whereas the vn didnt. so, therfore i had to re-zero the speedo myself via trail and error.

    so the question, even with the needle bump stop in place. once the needle is taken off.... does the mechcanisim float? or is it anti backwards mechanisim?

    i hope someone out there understand what im talking about.

  2. i just drove from the far north qld to sunny coast covering a f**k loads of kms...

    i just parked the r33 up and noticed the front LHS suspension is much lower than the RHS. I am guessing it was from the rough drive covering a shitload of kms worth of potholes.

    Since im not a guru on suspension, whats broken or worn? and what should i look into for a replacement? i was planning to get tein super street coil overs or similar, but is there something else broken/worn that needs to be rectified or looked into?

  4. have the car sorted out now.

    the belt jumped 2teeth on the exhuast side.

    can hear the gates whine, but its very very unnoticable. though feels much better and smoother. cas is set to 15degrees.

  5. thanks guys. so i guess ill have to speak to the mech 2moro and let him have a look at it.

    i seriously cant drive the vehicle. it stalls at lights, it cant idle. its running a hotter tempreture. stalls everywhere, lights, airco, driving along and pressed the clutch in, driving up a driveway.

    its very larthagic (*spelling)

  6. quick question....

    got a gates timing belt fitted today from my local mech...

    car now feels very very sluggish.

    i have heard noisey belts in the past, but never heard of a belt causing a vehicle to run like crap.

    should i look more into it, or will the car re-learn itself?

    before the belt change, the car was running like a dream.

  7. hey, my car is exactly the same. i thought the vct kicked in at 5000rpm-ish as low end is lame. though...

    1. i dont know what rb25det vct feels like.

    2. i thought it was the lack of torque going from a rb30et to a rb25det so i ignored it

    so maybe, maybe my vct is not working as well. saying that when i got it dynoed while back i still was abled to pull off 180+rwkw and 400 or so nm of torque.

    will the vct affect the peak power/torque or just the curve of power delivery?

  8. geez guys how you getting so much km/s per tank?

    i usually get around 310km b4 filling up. atm i have 1mm above half a tank with 200km being driven so far. i have full 3"zorst, 10psi and atmo megasonic. and yes i am aware the atmo will make it eat more fuel, however it cant be that much?
