Long Weekend Queens Birthday Cruise Sunday 7th of June 2009 After a few days of planning a Long Weekend Cruise, we have finally come up with an idea for a Sunday Day Cruise that will finish up at Somerset Dam, quite a nice location next to the water. We will meet at Springwood A-Mart (Previously known as Springwood Old Ikea) at 7:30AM and we will depart at 8:00AM sharp, we need to leave by this time to ensure we arrive at Somerset Dam on time to allow enough car parks for all the cars that will be attending. I will be driving a midnight purple R33 Skyline with the plates MRR33 so if anyone wants to come up that have a question or just to say hi feel free to as i don't bite ...much I ask everyone to please behave on this cruise, and remember that this is not a race to who gets there first, it is a nice two hour drive which will encounter a great finish point at the end of the drive. Please ensure you arrive at the first location with a full tank of fuel and make sure you all check your oil, water, tyre pressure etc the day before the cruise ..oh and make sure you wash it too There are BBQ's at Somerset Dam on site, but we encourage one or two people to bring a portable BBQ they are happy to share amoug us all just incase they are all being used or are not working. I belive McGnarly is bring a portable BBQ so thanks for that Nice and early start so we can get there at a decent time of the morning as it will be roughly a two hour drive and ensure we get enough car parks as we're expecting a decent turnout for the Long Weekend Cruise. There will be a Fuel Stop, but only for those who need fuel because there will be not enough space for all the cars to park there however others will continue along and we will all re-group at Fernvale Township for a quick bite to eat and to stretch your legs before our final push to Somerset Dam. I'm still keen for this, just don't really want to go near Spit, like someone said before it's a one way defect station and they just ass-rape you for anything if you own a Skyline. The police aren't too bad, it's when you have the State Traffic Force there, they seem to want to get you for something if they're looking over your car. Is anyone from the Southside going on this cruise? Maybe have a Southside meet somewhere and even post this on some other wesbites so we can get a few more numbers along to the cruise. I know a few people who don't visit the Queensland section of this website because posts are few and few between. Just my 2 cents anyways guys... StreetFame33

Hey, Just trying to get a few numbers to see how many people would be keen on getting some night photo shoots by Tangcla, he is based in Melbourne but recently came up to Brisbane and done a few photos that turned out awesome, probably some of the best if not the best photography I have seen in a very long time. I have recently spoken to him and he is keen to come up to Brisbane again as long as we can have everything organized (eg: locations, backup plans etc). The photo shoot will likely be over a couple of nights depending on numbers. You can have a look at his website by going to www.tangcla.com. Surprisingly he is quite cheap for the work he does, prices will be the same as last time, this will include 6-8 photos for $50. Also, if anyone has any suggestions on some locations for the photoshoot please PM me - Want to get a few locations together and see what will be best. Will also need a undercover venue such as a warehouse away from the rain just incase we get bad weather, lets hope not though!
