  1. starter motors have a overrun clutch, If your remote start has been over cranking, the sprag clutch maybe worn/damaged, when you start normally the engine over speeds the starter motor, you release key, usually the sprag clutch slips and the gear can retract. cos your clutch is damaged it maybe holding the gear on a little more
  2. How goes it everyone, I'll post up a quick intro but it seams(judging by looking through the other posts) that nobody replies in here unless you've got a set of boobs Names Benno, from the gold coast QLD, I'm a mechanic, recently sold my pride and joy that i built from scratch. A 1984 corolla with a worked CA18DET, full silvia suspension/brakes etc, it was fun but a handful. Now looking to sell my daily(starlet) and get a R32 project. So I'm looking for a GTS complete or rolling or a GTS-t rolling shell. I've got this project already planned out, nothing new, :puts on flame suit: a SR into a R32. Now i don't like the SR either(they sound like a wet fart), but I'll be building a motor not relying on a stocker and I'm working on Balance and overall weight(don't say "buy a silvia" i hate silvia's) If i can get a said power output from a lighter motor then why not, personally i like the style of the R32 and the suspension geometry shits on a S platform. so there it is, love it or hate it, let us know what you think. Cheers Benno
