  1. Good idea to move the time to the evening. We are still up for it! Meet place still near Hungry Jacks @ Ingle Farm?
  2. The black R33 could have been me...I was heading north between 4:30pm and 5pm up Salisbury Highway. Didn't see you though!
  3. SPOTTED * Gunmetal Grey R33 2-door Skyline, clean car, my wife thinks the driver is a hottie...turning left onto Grange Road from Findon Road between 7:30-8:00pm. Waved and got reply. * Blue WRX STI 2-door (only 200 of which in Australia!) VERRRRY nice...had intercooler but the rest looked pretty standard. These things really don't need much work anyway! HONKED, waved and gunned the engine. Got a wave in reply. Seen at 8:05pm turning from Tapleys Hill Road into Henley Beach Road towards the city. * Silver R33 2-door Skyline, Rego DREAMON, too busy perving on the chicks on Jetty Road, Glenelg to notice that we waved at him! All round NIIIICE CAR! About 8:15pm. * Black R33 2-door with red trim and red mags, parked on Jetty Road, Glenelg at about 8:15pm. From Glenelg cruised into town, saw nothing there but a pack of bogans after the cricket! HAPPY AUSSIE DAY ALL!
  4. Saw yours too mate....I think! Was it the R32 with the numberplate 'Sly Sky' parked just down from the Tapleys Hill roundabout? VERRRRRRY nice...liked the body kit...didn't get a good look at your car...you going on the Ben Simpson Memorial Cruise Sunday?
  5. SPOTTED: Sleek-looking Gold/Copper R33 2-door with black stripe on hood, black roof and black boot. Driving East on Waterloo Corner Road at 3:30pm Australia Day. Anyone on here want to claim it?
  6. Yeah..standard on the OUTSIDE...he told me he pulled me over because it was a Skyline. No other reason. However, under the hood I was busted for turbo timer, boost controller and BOV. Oh, and gauges up the A-pillar. Fixed it all and passed first time at Regency last week!
  7. They might start pulling us over like they do in the US...by rear ending us with a cop car...
  8. Yep we will be there!
  9. Yeah this sounds about right. Got my defect off first time too on the 12th January. I sent the missus in with the car because I am known for my temper if the inspector started being an asshole, but it was all good. Everything passed... ...except my window tinting on the front driver and passenger windows, which I had to strip off with a razor blade infront of him before he would sign the release form. Guy who did it was nice though, he thought any copper who targeted skylines was a bit 'wanky'. Tint-a-car fitted me in that afternoon too. All in all, not that bad!
  10. Which, according to Neil, is exactly what he WANTS! He told us when he pulled us over and defected our skyline that it was his aim "to convince Skyline drivers to sell their cars". Our response was "And sell them to who, Neil? Teenage hoons who will actually do something illegal in them?" To which he had no reply.
  11. Yeah you're right. Neil pulled up my skyline which is pretty much standard (on the outside, anyway!). It's a black 4-door with after market mag wheels. That's all. It's not lowered, no body kit, standard exhaust system...but has the worst thing of all...A skyline badge. And hence the reason for my defect.
  12. ...and as the cop was playing 'follow the leader' and tailgating me until I found a park in the shopping centre, he drove straight past a '86 Mitubishi Magna driver by an L-plater parked illegally over a yellow line in front of the Arndale ATM's. Gotta love that tunnel-vision.
  13. Hello All I am a new member to this forum...recommended by, yes you guessed it, our friendly neighbourhood Scottish Cop. He told me about the feedback he had been receiving on this site whilst defecting my Skyline. We were heading South on Hanson Road yesterday afternoon. It's been a good six months since we drove through Woodville / Arndale. Mr. Policeman was heading North along Hanson Road. He spotted my black 4-door R33 Skyline and did a U-turn about a kilometre up from Arndale shopping centre. After he followed for a km I pulled into Arndale shopping centre. Just as I was pulling into a carpark, the disco lights came on. He opened with "I pulled you over due to the fact that there has been plenty of these types of Skylines been stolen in the area." My reply was "Please tell me how many 4-door Skylines exist in South Australia, let alone in the this area." With no reply he began checking the car for defect. This is despite me not having done anything to get pulled over in the first place. I was doing about 55kmph in a 60 zone and driving sensibly. My next comment to him was "In that case, tell me how many of these that had been stolen would have been driven by a fat, balding white man?" Again, Mr Policeman had nothing to say. The next thing to come out of his mouth was "I am getting you for your Boost Controller, your BOV, your 4 gauges up the A-pillar and your Turbo Timer." To which my reply was "Well, mate, we have had this car for 6 months now and it was a Vic registered car. I know the BOV and 2 gauges may be illegal because I put them in myself after buying the car. But I had to get this vehicle checked by Regency before I could register it in SA for the first time, and they okayed 2 gauges, the Turbo Timer and the Boost Controller." All the copper had to say was "the guy who checked your car must have been having a bad day". So now I have a canary in the front window and rego that runs out before the date of the Regency Inspection. Another win for the revenue raisers of the SA government. IF ANYONE has a date for a vehicle inspection with SA transport at Regency park PRIOR TO the 12th January and CANNOT KEEP THIS APPOINTMENT please let me know so I can take your spot! I really don't want to have to wait this long for an appointment. Oh, and steer clear of the Port Adelaide / Woodville area... Crack_1
