Isn't the rule if you owned/ had it registered in your name before the cut of date aren't you allowed to drive it?, or is it on;y if you had it registered in Queensland before that date?

Surely these rules cannot last... they give cops way to much power and if a cops had a bad day he could book you for the smallest thing, my mum drives a Honda odyssey that is a people mover i have seen her accidently lose traction in that now my mum if almost 50 and is so far from being a "hoon" but under these laws that is considered hooning its GODDAMN WRONG!! Sorry off subject just needed to say that.

What I've been told was the manufacturer says its a turbo and even if you take out the turbo, it still says "turbo-ed" and a cop that's had a bad day has a reasonable excuse to interpret that as a turbo car. Plus i would check because I'm pretty sure in Queensland that counts as a modification and on your P's its no engine mods from what i hear... please anyone correct me if I'm wrong as this is just what i have been told, Also it would run really sloppy as there is not compression!!

Hay mate what is the lowest you can go? as i would have to drive this to Cairns which would be a mission and a half....

My mate has asked me this question a fair few times and i really don't know the answer, He wants to know if he buys a turboed R33 can he de-turbo it without having any problems,and if so what would he need in part wise, i know this is a very weird question as most people want to turbo there car, but with these new p plate rules i'm sure this question will get asked more and more...

My question is will i get picked up by cops if i put pod filter on my skyline, I am a p plater in Queensland i have heard that it counts as a modification and if a cop had a bad day it could be a reasonably excuse to give you a hard time, i am just curious if this is true, is it illegal to mount a pod filter in your car?

$1800 was the guys next door's quote he owns a smash repair shop, and i got some really cheap quotes of other places and thats was why i was curious... Looks like the really cheap ones would be a majorly dodgy job!

I have just recently brought a skyline r33 GTS 1993, don't get me wrong i love the car its just the paint is not the colour i want, its white and i want to get it painted black. Only problem is i have gone to about 4 or 5 places and there quotes have been all over the place i've had anything from $1800 down to $600, Ive asked a couple of mates and they reckon that the cheaper places do a dodge job and your better paying good money to get it done well. I'm sure a few of you have had this done and i wanted to know what price range should i be looking in? Also what is a good black colour code.
