    haltech platinum pro rotational idle switch

    hey guys i have a haltech platinum pro plugin on my gtr and im going to wire up a switch for rot idle on/off i have the pinout and have used avi 3( pin 10 black aux plug) (analogue input) and pin 9 +5v i turned it on in ecu on haltech software but it doesnt work when i supply 5v to the avi3 input . i have set turn on 5volts and turn off 0 volts, do i need something extra to activate it ie, another aux input box ?

    Hi guys I just got another gearbox for my 33gtr pull type now there's a few diff things bout bell housing the new one has pps written in 2 places and my old one series 2 gtr 33 has no print on top at all also the new box has no air vents on top where as my old box does have 2x air vents on top of bell housing another thing with the new box it has a different spedo sensor by the looks and a diff plug the other 2 sensors are the same as the old one.

    Can anyome shed some light ?

    I use Redline MT90 because its an actual GL-4 spec lube instead of Castrol and most other brands which are GL-5. 
     
    The Nissan boxes are supposed to use a GL-4 although most people use GL-5, which apparently isn't good for the brass synchro gears.

    That stuff is the reason drag strips are sticky. You get the car on the dyno, spray a little bit of that stuff onto the tyres while the cars idling in 1st and let it roll for a little to spread out on the rollers and tyres. Then do your run/runs. It's not a cure all but if the car is strapped down as hard as you can and it's still spinning it helps.





    Yeah I have asked tuner and it's a no go with using that on the dyno

    Low only, I believe they're D2S. It should be written on the top of your headlight somewhere.
    If they are dull, you'll have to somehow inspect the projector bowl. If the bulb colour is a bit purple-y, change them to Osram CBI (look on powerbulb.com).


    Yeah had a look today and they all working sweet now don't know why I didn't look into it earlier lol just been yo busy with other jobs to worry about my own cars. Had heaps of d2s bulbs the person that cut the wires to ballast before I had it must of not known what bulbs went in so they just wired up h1s .

    Should have good lights at night now with the projectors working happy days!

    Hey guys haven't been on here for while but been a member of sau for some years now keen to get back into motorsport scene a bit more and get out and about . Still got my gtr although I hardly drive it anymore would like to get it out a bit more.
