  1. Hey guys,

    Up for sale is my rims that i had on my r34 gt-t. 18 x 9.5 +22

    They are wrapped in Kumho Ecsta SPT KU31 with 90% tread 255 x 35 x 18.

    Tyres are awesome for a street tyre, stick like poo to toilet paper!

    They are in pristine condition, no kerb rash and look absolutely awesome in the flesh!

    Yours for $2700.

    Also have a set of Kics Racing Composite (Bronze) Lock Nuts.

    Will let them go for $200. Pretty much brand new and have box for them.

    Will do a deal if you buy both. Make me an offer, worst I can do is say no.

    Buyer can organise shipping as i'm too lazy! Willing to drop them off at depot or you can get courier to come to my place.

    PM or call 0406677771.

  2. You posted this thread in the W.A section so I assume that you are buying a GTR from over here?

    If I were you I'd look in the consolidate workshop thread and find a workshop that is close to the dude and get them to do a compression test etc..

  3. 5-speed automatic ZF 5 HP 24 EH.

    Ratios ( r : 1):

    Ratio : 1

    Top Speed @ 6,000 RPM

    1st 3.57 39 MPH

    2nd 2.20 63 MPH

    3rd 1.51 92 MPH

    4th 1.00 139 MPH

    5th 0.83 155 MPH @ 5,500 RPM*

    The manual is a 6 speed, so 5th is required for 1:1.

    Well there you go, as you can see I didn't research my repsonse in terms of your car :(

  4. I think there's some confusion here; there's actually a few differing things that people are talking about:

    * R33 box v R34 box

    * Power v Torque

    The R33 box v R34 box is totally different; not so much in how they work but moreso how they are made. The reason why my flex plate broke whilst someone like Dangerman's held is because the R34 item is wafer thin compared to the R33.

    Power translates to heat, which is what kills autos... power, did not kill my flex plate though. Torque did - the stress subjected to the plate when the car hit boost on the dyno and the torque figures shot right up, mauled the plate.

    I'm now up to 500rwhp and the box from MV is still going A-OK... and that is with a lot of 'spirited' driving.

    My transmission setup is comprised of:

    * Fully Overhauled MV Automatics Box

    * MV Automatics Shift Kit

    * MV Automatics Custom Flex Plate

    * MV Automatics High Stall Convertor

    * Davies Craig 19 Row Trans Cooler

    * Defi Oil Temp Gauge (Trans Temp)

    * Quality Trans Fluid

    So the question should be for the OP, how do you intend on driving your car? 300-350rwhp would not immediately demand the full works. Doing so would result in a safer and more enjoyable drive though.

    Thanks for clearing that up, useful information too.

  5. Hmmm. So you reckon getting it checked on another dyno when its cooler? Like I said before, I'd buy a car and parts off Alistair, but I wouldnt trust him with my car. Possible he's trying to scam money off new customers?

    Take it to another workshop to get it dyno'd that you do trust and see if the readings are the same?

    Do it on a day without so much heat..

  6. Follow this guide.

    Basically

    1) Exhuast

    2) Intake

    3) Boost controller + upboost

    4) ECU upgrade

    This is pretty much the limit you can take the stock 34 turbo. Should see anywhere from 240 - 270rwhp out of it.

    After this your going to have to get Injectors, Turbo, AFM, Remap and other little things like cams to push the power further which costs a lot more dosh.

  7. Cheers for all your replies guys :D

    Looks like I'll keep the stock Blowies and go for some Pods, still not sure what to do with the zaust though. I see mentioned to go for a twin pipe jap cat-back, is this because the GTR already has a decent exhaust from Turbo to cat?

    O btw picked it up friday, blew a tire on a brick on the road reversing out the driveway on saturday -.-

    Will show it off tomorrow night ;)

    No, I simply suggested this because you said you like twin tips.

    Ideally you'd want a turbo back system which comprises of dump pipes/front pipes cat converter and a catback exhaust.

    You can differentiate on whether you want a single tip cannon or twin tip catback system.
