  1. Got mine on Ebay.com.au for $77 free postage. Arrived 2 days later in Queensland now to test this thing out. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/281068198571?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
  2. Sweet thanks guys that a huge help I ordered a Ctek MXS 5.0 v1 looks like a good charger.
  3. Hey guys, since my GTR isn't a daily driver anymore I'm looking for the best way to charge the car battery to keep it topped up. The garage I have work on the car say to not hook up a standard top up charger as it could short circuit and brick the car and its internal computer. Is there anything to watch for by disconnecting power to the car for 2 days while the battery is unplugged from the car and hooked up to a standard charger? Please anyone have a clue on this i'm completely lost on what to use. Thanks
  4. Great thanks guys, i'll get a pair of fresh ones for the front. Thought it wouldn't be a problem but great to check with the community experts here.
  5. Hey guys I own a R35 GTR JDM. I'm about to sell my car in QLD and want to put on some fresh front tyres just to give it a better look for sale. The rear tyres are still near new loads of tread but the fronts are a little more worn. Can I just change the front tyres without warning lights from the NIssan on board Computer noticing differences in tread? I know it trips a warning if the front or rear pairs are off by a few mm of tread but not sure if it cares about the full set? Thanks for the help
  6. Hey 70RTY thanks for the offer but I've got a lot of business stuff going on taking my focus right now. I'll have to look at getting it on a old track day in the summer though that would be sweet.
  7. To me it does everything so easy it feels a bit boring stock. Haven't had an exhaust installed the loud sound might make it feel more fun. Cause it's as quiet as a hyundai stock even under boost it's just quite like a jet. It's faster than you can imagine and you can sure get a rush from blasting it, You'll find bikes wanting to drag you no cars ever seem to try. I can imagine it's freaking awesome fun on a track I've yet to track mine. I wouldn't recommend it for general everyday fun driving as unless your putting foot to the floor feeling the 1-2 G's then it is very controlled and feels like it just laughs at anything within the public road speed limits. Compared to other cars at this price range I still feel the car is amazing and what else is there a BMW m3? (boring) or a cayman neither are super cars like the GTR. Amazing car that begs to be tracked.
  8. Sorry to hear your Willoil effecting your car drivability that way. I'd just like to say for the record I got willoil trans and diff oil installed 8000 km ago and it's been super smooth sailing since then with increased smoothness when changing gears with only downside being a slightly longer warmup over standard nission oil. With standard clutch settings no special adjustments needed. Martin has always been very professional to deal with and Willall did a superb job of repairing my broken transmission last year. Good luck with your car I hope your able to find a solution to the problem soon. I just wanted to mention my experiences as I've had the opposite experience with this oil. Sammy
  9. I guess thats what happens when you play chicken with a Train!!!
  10. Thanks for the help guys. Yeah I loved the idea of Super silver but damn I hope a small dent doesn't cost me the earth to fix. I'll look up Col Shipstone smash repairs in Brisbane see if I can find them and see if they are setup to do Super silver next week. Otherwise perhaps my local garage might be able to find out from Nissan dealer in QLD where else is good for a paint repair. cheers Sam
  11. Bumped a damn pole parking at work, small dent & sctrach about a foot big down left side rear. My R35 is super siliver paint I heard this was a harder one to get fixed or get someone who knows what they are doing with this paint? Anyone recommend a good paint shop that can do Nissan Super silver who you trust? Thanks for the help guys Sam
  12. Hey Martin, yeah I really feel a lot better knowing you put all those nice strength goodies in there thanks again for that ;-) Drives better than new and smoother with the Willall oil's I'm sure you sell a lot of that oil its just brilliant and far smoother on the gears.
  13. Ok a few points from a JDM owner. 1. My transmission failed in 2 months after owning brand new JDM clutch seal popped at 6000 km's taking off agressively but not using launch cost $10-12 to repair. 2. If you live near Willall Racing great for servicing but otherwise its not good for servicing as nobody has a Consult 3 and if something electronic goes badly wrong in the car your kinda farked till you find someone with a consult 3 and you can buy them I think now for $10-15k yourself if you find someone who can get them. There are people who have them but they are very rare & you have to pay to use them if you can find them. 3. Yes we do get raped in Australia on cars & taxes not much you can do, just buy the car through your business claim $6000 in GST if you can and whatever other benifits that come with that, insurance & petrol it all helps. 4. Compare the R35 to a BMW M3, it eats it for breakfast in superior everything except ride comfort. Unique looks, speed, acceleration & gadgets etc. Not many other cars of the same price range to compare the R35 too as its too fast to compare much else. 5. If you buy a JDM you will NEVER use Launch control as you have no warrenty and these R35 transmissions fail a fair bit. Plus i've talked to a race team that used launch on their car quite a bit and blew first gear, then got transmission repaired again before blowing it again on race use. They do break the reports I believe are not over reported I believe they are under reported. Martin @ Willall Racing would know best I guess he repairs them all. If you buy a ADM you can use launch control the cut down v2.0 which is extremely close to v1.0 in speed but without voiding your warrenty. But the car just jams 3.8-4.0 sec 1-100 just jabbing on the throttle anyways so launch is overrated and not really nessesary. 6. If you can get a JDM for $120,000 go for it, but I have a feeling there are more costs in there, rego is certainly $5500-7000 more thats for sure, thats $50,000 in money saved for warrenties people say are worth fark all when you try to claim something and you put that money aside to pay for repairs if needed. Your car might be off the road a bit more when something breaks but to keep your ADM warrenty I hear they make you pay $10k for new brakes & other stuff or you void the warrenty. Check into that stuff further though so much floats around the boards. 7. Have a good look at all the car colours, and make sure you test drive a R35 so you know what your getting into. Oh and when you get the car, get the blackest darkest tints you can. makes all the difference.
  14. When it comes to warrenties. Well I got a JDM & the transmission broke within 2 months took 4 months to get it back on the road better than new with Willall's expert help. Mainly cause of problems shipping transmissions etc instead of not having someone here to fix it. It was a total bitch so yeah. Total cost around $10,000 not covered by warrenty. So fixes on the car aren't that much but the inconvience and stress of not knowing who to deal with to fix these issues early last year = nightmare. The peace of mind in a warrenty and having a service shop that can fix issues like lost keys, computer problems or any glitches or perhaps a broken transmission should certainly be taken into account. You don't want to have issues like "fungoolie" and have no access to a consult 3 by the sounds of it. For instance if I drive my car hard and break transmission again its off the road for another 2-3 months + costs, where as same car would just be brand new replacement transmission again for a guy with a warrenty. But when you save $40k on the car and plan to mod it in anyway shape or form then its well worth it to get a JDM. BTW test drive a BMW M3 then jump in a GTR and you'll see the difference. One is a luxary sports car and the other a supercar
  15. I do agree, the car looks a bit lacking from the front. The sides & back make up for it of course but yeah a more agressive front or something could be added there to improve it.
