Car is looking good man, grats on the trophy too
-
Vq25det is already turbo. So compression is right, turbo manifolds etc
Can get a vq25det front cut for $1000
sell rb25det
vq35 is non turbo......add turbo or supercharger kit plus to buy engine equals $10K plus...
$ verse cents really
tring to keep to a cheap budget build
Yeah fair enough, remember though that an m35 front cut, at least in australia, wont have a manual gearbox. I'm guessing that a 350z gearbox would be the best one to use, no idea what sort of price they go for though
-
If you want rwd manual, why would you go vq25 over a vq35, especially given the turbo / supercharging kits available for the vq35?
-
Quick question for all the manual converted guys..
What speed sensor are you using, I've read the standard auto one works fine in GTR boxes ... although it's shorter in length?
Can anyone shed some light on this?
Cheers!
I'm using the standard auto one in a 32 GTR box, no idea about the length though as it wasn't me who put it in.
Car is coming along great too, you have done more in a few weeks than I have in years lol

They just said "Sir Bertram Stevens Drive, near the Warumbul Road turn-off"
so it looks like that right-hand hairpin as you go south, shortly after you go over the causeway (not long into the drive after you leave Princes Hwy).
Yeah thats where it was, I drove through there today, there are still signs up saying 'oil on road' around that corner
-
I'm in it too, haven't played for around a month though. Only having one game mode and 3-4 maps ended up getting boring. It probably doesn't help how similar a lot of the gameplay is to WoT either, considering how over that game I am.

i've always said it stage-ah
-
saw one of those wagon stagea rs four or some shit, god damn they're ugly

Spotted a silver M35 on a car transporter this afternoon in Bathurst
-
Interested to see how you find the 800D case, im thinking of upgrading my old Antec 900 case and would probably go the 800D if I do.
-
White M35, think it was an Axis, parked in the shopping centre carpark in bathurst
-
haha thanks man, seems to look better in pics than it does in person, you can't see all the battle scars from 4 years of uni carparks
-
Thanks for posting all the pics Terry, and of course thanks to Matt for taking them!

Pretty sure the gtr wheel is smaller although i havent measured it. Definitely feels better than the stock wheel.
-
R34 gtr is a perfect fit for the S1 (I swapped one into mine), and i believe the 34gtt is as well. Not sure what happens with the tiptronic buttons in the S2 though.
-
yeah the wind/rain deflectors....how do I take them off (it's kinda silly have one and one busted one)
When I took mine off they were held on by some really strong double sided tape and a few metal clips. It was easy enough to get the weather strips themselves off, but the double sided tape is a pain.

light blue F430 driving around Bathurst today, saw him a few times - including going the opposite direction around mount panorama, where a corolla came close to hitting him head on.
-
Cleaned out the AAC valve today. It's fixed an idle problem that I was having, and the car also feels like its revving a lot smoother.
-
Unless it has changed recently, Founder early access begins August 7, and then open beta begins a little bit after that

Been waiting for this game for ages, bought the legendary pack the day it was announced lol. Good fun trying to explain spending that much money on a free to play game that hasnt been released yet
-
That's cool man, gotta start somewhere!
Stay safe; ride like everyone is out to kill you, mostly because they are. If you're ever down the mountains on the beast; hit me up, I don't need an excuse to ride.
Yeah will do mate. Will be a while before i take it too far out of town though, I've seen too many people nearly running up the back of L plate drivers / riders on the GWH
Congrats mate! Bet that's a bit chilly round Bathurst in winter.
Have they gone to injection on them yet? I rode one in Thailand that was injected, was a good thing.
Cheers man, yeah its not the warmest time for it lol. Mine is carbie, from what i have read USA and Australia still only get carb models, and in europe they can get injected ones. No idea why they haven't brought out the injected models over here, because its one of the most popular learner bikes you can get
-
Noice! With a pipe they actually don't sound too bad.
Your first bike?
Yeah, its got a nice big yellow L plate on the back haha. Will probably do some mods on it over time, because I will have nearly 2 years until im on an unrestricted license. Gotta let the bank account recover first though
