Last time I saw Tab and Phil, HRH Princess Blossom Pops was about 12 weeks old.

    She is 7 now.

They must be breeders by now!

She still a big puppy from the looks :P

And now he's gone, see you in another 7!

I kept going "i gotta log back on and check in" at the worst times, like washing my hands after dinner and stuff, no where near the PC... At work now though and just remembered haha

Current projects i'm working on, Blair and I are rebuilding a suppper cheap 2007 CBR1000RR he got :D

    How's everyone going?

  2. OP started this thread on 1 May ... I think this is pretty indicative that perhaps more active members should be approached and should be given a moderator status to help assist things like this (and before anyone asks - for obvious reasons, being I rarely post and prefer to read, I'm not putting my hand up)

Even the WA workshop thread, that I posted a while back and people replied with the latest info on the garages, wasn't used to update the pinned consolidated workshop thread. The WA section isn't a high traffic forum and only takes about 5 mins to read everything and respond to these sorts of queries.

Come down on July 7th... as I said we can all chat about the status of SAUWA and possible ways to help fix it's problems!

  3. Drove the route today.
Second meet point has changed to Gull on the Great northern Hwy (comes up as gingers roadhouse on google maps)

I'll just say now, the route I picked was fun... and great scenery :)

Only had minor roadworks (western power changing out a power pole) only lasted about 200m.

  4. Alas, I will be in Sydeney, basking in the aftermath and hangover of the final test match with the British and Irish Lions. Now that is going to be one helluva weekend!

Best of luck with the cruise. I hope I can make it to the next one, as I need to get the GTR out of the city more often!

    Cheers.

    Bugger dude, enjoy it though!

There will be more don't worry :)

  5. Hahaha I remember the right turn was much better ;)

ATM I can't confirm... will see closer though.

Hehe we all pulled over to see wtf was going on... Good bonding times...

I'm doing a simliar run, so there will be a second meet point at the start of the great northern highway. Then from there i'm deciding between two roads... about 30-40 mins extra driving.

  6. Honestly, if the moderators/committee/organizers aren't interested in doing anything anymore, why are you letting them hold their positions? It feels like you need some fresh blood on this site. When was the last time the WA crew organised any events? The last sau dome day I attended wasn't even organised by a committee member, but rather by one of your regular members. Hell, if they are so lazy they closed the WA specific for sale section? f**k a duck, that's woeful.

Silviawa was the same until recently when we grabbed some new coordinators, now we have more social events than the Kardashians. Our last one was watching fnf6 at the drive-ins, I'm sure you guys could do similar.

Depending on how many skylines are left. A joint sauwa/silwa cruise is necessary.

I'm gonna go pester some mods now :)

  7. I haven't been on a SAUWA cruise for about 2+ years. It's basically died.

I'm thinking July 7th (Sunday) we head for Toodyay for a BBQ lunch. (If it rains or whatever there is a tavern etc there.)

Any Import welcome due to god knows how many skylines there are nowadays on this forum.

I'll flesh out the details more, I want to see INTEREST PEOPLE!

Anyone else want to get excited for SAUWA to come back? Show me some love!

Usual rules will apply, no burn outs blah blah blah. I remember the skyline community being a little less bogany so i'm not too worried about that.

    Post up people. GET. EXCITED.

    Details:

10am Meet point - BP, 549 Abernethy Rd, Kewdale

10:30am Leave for the 2nd Meet Point

11 meet 2nd meet point to Gull Petrol station on Great Northern Hwy -

    11:15 leave

It’s a BBQ so bring your own meat, oil and utensils. If you forget something we should be able to help.

There is also a tavern and a café nearby.

I will print and distribute maps from the meet point. It's not a difficult one, but i'll make sure a right turn is a right turn..not left *glares at Paul*

If this turnout is amazeballs I’m going to organise another one for some skylines only J with the addition of some possible event cruises and joint club cruises.

  8. Can't moderators email out to all WA members if a specific event is organised?

Like a meet somewhere on a sunday with a cruise and a bbq?

Just to try and pump some damn life into this.

I mean how many skylines are there actually left on this forum?

  9. I was thinking that... ^

I've felt hicas weirdness before... nothing like that... Back end wiggled a little bit (i think it was resetting or something) But you can hear it work every now and then.

I'm more thinking you overpowered the corner. R33 so you don't have TC (34's do) So shitty tyres + little happy fun time can get you in a bit of shit...

  10. Yer basically I would go with what other people are doing in the forced induction thread. There's also an rb25det thread that has all peoples tunes. That's very helpful to see what different parts people have to get the power they are receiving.

  11. I've had both... and currently drive my wife's 34gtt around now.

The 34gtt when i had was WAY less maintenance, still fun to drive.

The 33gtr I had was insane... I loved the car, I miss that car... It certainly leaves an impression of a GTR on you...

If you're willing to part with the cash in maintenance then go for the GTR. However as it was said earlier, the engines are getting a bit worn out from people thrashing them. I remember the compression test on mine wasn't TOO bad, but one of the cylinders was on the low end of good.

Just get all the tests done if you want a good one, and have a nice buffer of cash to take care of it's high maintenance cost :P
