Dont think so, We have a few GTR's including the Car that came 2nd Outright in the national Dutton series, spotted with EVOS and STi's But mostly 1960's and 1970s ex bathurst race cars like GTR XU1, Mustang, A9X, L34. 1980s Big Block Corvettes and exsupercar Commodores. Over 800 people have been and we have never seen or heard of an unhappy customer. Weve sold out every other time, but this was too close to Christmas. The last 8 events have raised together over $125,000 for Variety, The Childrens Charity.

Excuse me, but will Ahmad swap one dyno-tune on my bathurst special 3.3 litre GTR for one well worn wife with 25 years experience of wifing. Great Cook, Good Navigator and not too bad for a 47 YO. Comes with a huge built-in wardrobe full of clothes and shoes but not one outfit to wear for the party on saturday night, so youll have to take her out shopping. Photo of her here http://www.targa.com.au/Competitors/Entrie...inicVotano.html Please send sample dyno slip... -

At 12.47 PM on Monday 3 December 2007 a Default Judgement for liquidated claim was entered at the Parramatta Local Court, Small Claims Division. In case Number 2410/07: The judgement entered in favour of the Plaintiff (me) against the defendant (a tuner) for an amount of $3553.19 plus $73.00 court costs. This is 100% of what I was requesting as I was happy to pay for anything that I had been advised of and quoted beforehand. Id say the matter should end here and hopefully this gives others encouragement to seek redress when they are hard done by. I was not greedy and I volunteered to pay for whatever is fair and the tuner should be happy as he got everything he had quoted and sought approval for. I did not ask the court for interest on the overpaid amount, I did not ask for a reprieve for paying the whole bill, I still paid nearly $3,000 for a good few hour work and parts, which I feel comfortable with. I think the most important lesson is, Dont accept any reccomendation on a forum or even from "friends" in person. I personally am assisted (in my Charity and racing endeavours) by Castrol Oil and SRF, Winford and Alto Ford, Express Glass and CHU insurance So perhaps I am blind to the costing and quality of their fantastic service. I have often reccommended these guys to others. So I am as guillty as anyone else on this forum of being a little biased. What happens next is they have 28 days to pay me or lodge an appeal in a higher court. -

Dom, we all know there are TWO sides to this story. So why is the other party so chicken to tell his side, or even to tell me what he did for the money A GTR for 12k lol You a silly for buying it! Its obvious you didnt read the original post, the car was then built by Alto Ford as a sponsorship dela and had nothing wrong with it, when finished, all suspension, turbos were replaced to my liking, It only needed a tune You shouold start telling the truth. That is my biggest fault in life I only EVER tell the truth, even when I should keep my mouth shut Were you kept in formed the whole way? Its obvious you didnt read the original post How long does it take to pull GTR TTs off? Who said that they wanted the TTs off, why would I want a new set of turbos off, If they were removed, why were they removed, They had only been fitted in the previous month, why wasnt I shown the turbos removed. You should really settle the matter before crying on a public forum I made an offer to settle and did not even get the courtesy of a reply, What would you do in this situation, let others be poisened with this stench. It is also very interesting that you seem to know so much about this matter and yet understand so little. -

A bit off the thread but very simple, Im building a tarmac race car, I want my own wheels, suspension, turbos etc. IF I had paid $20k for a good one, I still would want suspension etc to suit tarmac rally regs and my style of driving. A race car has to be built for you, buying one off someone else, usually results in throwing out many good things and having to rebuy something else. Its a bit like buying a "Do er upper home" you get the carpet, paint, kitchen, tiling and fittings that you want. Last time my wife chose a fully finished two year old home that needs no work. Only problem was that she didnt like the colour scheme, tiles, timber floor colour and carpet. So far she's OK with the Kitchen and Bathrooms. (TIC) -

Your spot on mate. Its so easy to critiscise, when you havent bought the car, yet if I put it back up for sale, without front springs and shocks, wheels or turbos, Id say Everyone would say Its not even a rolling shell and offer $10k or less. But I triple checked it with my mechanic and was happy to pay $12k as I wanted new turbos, brakes and suspension anyway and had some left over wheels from my R33 GTR. -

OK, spoke to legals and Im allowed to stae the facts that are being presented in court. I bought a $12k Skyline GTR in good condition, to prepare as a race car, no rego, wheels, suspension or turbos and fitted brand new turbos, wheels suspension and dump pipe. The car was pulled apart, checked and put back together by a team of mechanics at ALTO ford (One of whom works for Hills Motorsport now) as a sponsorship deal. When finished I used it for a few track days and it ran beautifully, but as ALTO do not have a Dyno, I thought it needs a professional tune. So I booked it in with someone local, who is reccomended on this forum who quoted $700.00 and said I should see 260kwatts. The NEW Power FC which I supplied was fitted and the before figures showed 237 kw at 11 psi, but the car wasnt running well so he recommended a boost controller $550 and fuel injector cleaning $200 which I accepted. This still did not solve the problem so he suggested new plugs $180 and a couple of days later he thought it needed new coilpacks $650, Later still he complained about the lack of power and said that one turbo was not working and he would quote to replace the turbos. Needless to say it was obvious I was being taken for a ride and I said, can I look at the blown turbo. I was shown a wheel that came from a vase but when I asked to see the back of the turbo where it came from. He said he couldnt show me. The next day after visiting him again he said the turbos were OK but it was the cat that was gone. I said dont replace it, just use a decat pipe, Ill fix the exhaust later. I said I was concerned about the bill being too high and he said, yes its near $5000.00. WOW, The total of the quotes was under $3k and after being caught out on the blown turbo scam, I assumed it would be around $2500. I complained about this and he said its only a rough guide. He'll work out the full amount the next day when I drop in. Imagine my shock when I go to pick up the car, the dyno sheet says 264 kwatts at 14 psi and the bill was $6433, which would cost me an extra $124 if I used a credit card, so I had to pay cash. Has anyone ever paid that amount to have a tune or is this a record to acheive 27 kilowatts. The best part is there total lack of knowledge on anything they have done: My Q. Is the 264 kwatts at 4 wheels or at rear wheels? A. We dont know, we started the car without the 4WD fuse but it engaged AWD when it hit 200kwatts... (????) My Q. Why did the bill go up from $4800 yesterday to $6433 today? A. The ignition coils that we were quoted $650 on yesterday ended up costing $715. (Well that makes sense) Then before commencing court action I asked him these questions in writing: I have today visited a chamber magistrate in an effort to have the matter settled over the blatant overcharging on the Nissan Skyline. He has instructed me to ask the following questions and seek redress before taking this matter any further through the legal system. The questions that need to be answered are: 1. Please itemise what hours were spent on the tasks to make up $2860 in labour and $770 for the tune 2. Why are some of the items in the labour column IE install FC and two dyno runs? These were the items quoted $700 and charged at a rate of $700, yet they also appear in the labour column. 3. What is an air filter service, as the car has pod filters? 4. Why was the brand new coolant discarded and new coolant added? 5. Why did you quote for each item and then not adhere to your quote? IE Tune and fitting $700.00 Install Spark plugs $180.00 Remove and clean injectors $450.00 Fit Boost controller $650.00 Fit ignition coils $650.00 Replace actuators $250.00 Total of quote $2,880.00 Why do you not know whether the car was tested in 2wd or AWD mode? Why did you say the AWD was not working when your own staff corrected you and said he had removed the fuse? Why did you believe that the turbos had an exhaust wheel blown when you personally told me that it had read 11psi on the dyno? Would a turbo with an exhaust wheel blown read nil on the dyno or 11PSI? Why did you remove the turbos, my instruction was to see if the exhaust wheel had come off this turbo? This was your recommendation after I refused to allow the purchase of new turbos? The price you quoted was $2,880.00, I totally accept the extra parts being filters, hose clamps, bolts, hoses and gaskets, I even accept that you made a mistake and when you quoted $250 for the actuators that this may have been for each. But unacceptable is To quote fitted and then add a labour component. To add GST on a quoted price, GST legislation provides that prices must be GST inclusive. Adding labour onto the labour charge of the tune. Charging to remove turbos that were not requested to be removed. To quote $4800, (which surprised me) as the full payment with the Ignition coils and then discover 3 working hours later that you had erred and the bill was $6433.19. The writer has had cars dyno tuned by V and E Rigoli MRT Bob Whyms and has been happy on all counts with all different vehicles. I did find them to be too far from my office and thus inconvenient to drop off the vehicle. I do agree that an offer of $2833 is to low as you should not be penalised for simple errors on your behalf. I would suggest that an additional $1,000 in labour and $250 in parts should suffice for the work done. According to my solicitor a good offer is one that allows both parties to sleep comfortably. Neither will be happy with a good settlement, but both will be able to live with that decision. In view of this I suggest that a fair payment for the service was $4400.00, being a refund of $2,000.00. The magistrate states that I ask for you to consider and reply to these points before advancing further. AND THEN CAME HIS PROFESSIONAL REPLY; " I have handed the paper work to my solicitor yesterday. He will contact you soon." Funny, no reply in 7 weeks from him or his solicitor, and how is his solicitor going to understand whether a blown turbo missing a wheel would read 11psi on the dyno but not 14psi.. -

I have copincidentally found 2 EVO owners, one RX7 owner and an XR6 turbo owner who had the same trick pulled upon them that I had. I just want to know if anyone with a skyline has had the same problem. Hills Motorsport says that 2 other Skylines have been hauled into his workshop with these problems, and like me, they are suspicious about this tuner. NB It is of course not the very reputable Hills Motorsport. I dont want to turn it into a discussion until the court case is settled. But Id love to know if anyone else has had the same problem. Remember if you dont know what this thread is about, then you wont have had the problem. -

The matter is progressing through the courts at the moment and should finalise in about 10 days. So I dont want to pre-empt any legal process. -
I recently got to speaking about a bad experience with a tuner who has a vase full of turbo wheels on his reception desk. Interestingly Ive had 4 others tell me about the same vase and similar experiences. So; anyone else cop the same teatment. PS: if you dont know what Im talking about, then you havent been to the tuner, and there is no need to worry.

Under the tarmac rally rules I must run 16 inch wheels on the R32 GTR. So despite doing all my research and then ordering what I believe to be the best value 6 pot callipers And two full sets of pads at a cost of $3k plus air freight plus GST and duty of $550, I now have a set of 6 pots that are brand new, that retail for $5k, that cost $3610.00 that are of no use to me. They are not a cheap chinese alloy copy but a perfect forged steel replica of the AP racing brake system and they do fit 325 to 375 mm rotors under 17 inch and larger rims. These are not sold in OZ and are bright red. The company that manufactures them builds OEM callipers for many US, Jap and Euro cars. I was going to use them on my 260 kilowatt rally car, but now I cant. Includes adaptors for R33 R34 and Braided lines. Im in Sydney and I can provide you with a tax invoice on any item. [email protected]. or 0414 626 243 SMS and Ill ring back Item: 6 pot brake callipers as above Age: New Condition: New Price: $1,500 To Fit: any car at all but comes with adaptors for R34 and R33 Location: Sydney Northmead or Box hill Contact: Dom [email protected]. or 0414 626 243 SMS and Ill ring back Item: Volks 17 X 10 pro with caps and 265/40/17 tyres, again selling as I must run 16s on the GTR Age: 2 years Condition: wheels 9/10 tyres 5/10 Price: $1200 To Fit: (What car) They have the GTR offset so should fit all 5 bolt skylines etc Location: Sydney Northmead or Box hill Contact: Dom [email protected]. or 0414 626 243 SMS and Ill ring back Item:Nismo struts and king springs Age: about 3-5 years old Condition: were perfect on my car but made it too low for tarmac rally use Price: $100 To Fit: (What car) R32 GTR Location: Sydney Northmead or Box hill Contact: Dom [email protected]. or 0414 626 243 SMS and Ill ring back

Actually go for an excellent $20k as new r32 GTR, best of all worlds and more power, and you wont lose as much money as spending it on a GTST

2 X R32 Gtr Turbos+ Dumps $100 Lot Sydney
Dominic replied to Dominic's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Ahh, what are the water line fittings. They were professionally removed by my mechanic, so I dont know. Anyone interested please phone 0414 626243 9.00 - 9.00 -
Yes one is perfect and the other has some shaft play, it includes the stock Dumps for these turbos. I would suggest that the second be rebuilt. But the first is absolutely perfect and the car pulled very well with these fitted. I am situated In Northmead Sydney and just want to get rid of them. Will swap for GTR R32 Grille. Take a look at my old Nismo shock and springs set up for $300. also on this list. Pm me or email [email protected]
