Well that sucks, totally on the same day as the SAUWA members cruise
-
Lol yeh they are very basic cars, made purely to get you from A to B, and depending on whether the thing is still there, back to A again
-
Yeh had to do this to install my rear speakers. As Johno said, there are two bolts under the bottom of the seat, the bit you actually sit on, undo those first. Remove that part of the seat, and then there are two bolts holding on the backrest part of the seat. Undo those and you can remove that part. This bit is a little tricky because of the seatbelts, you can either undo the seatbelts, or if you are like me and don't wanna mess around with that, just thread the seatbelts throught the eyelets until the backrest is as far away from the boot as possible

Lol at the answers in this thread, clearly people have different opinions and they are going to get voiced. Personally ive had my car for 8 months now, and i believe that if you drive properly, don't have music blasting, and generally don't drive like an idiot, then you will be fine. Also make sure that everything on your car works properly, headlights, brake lights, indicators, etc. Just don't give them a reason to pull you over, and 99% of the time, they won't. Having said that, there is a wanker in every job and that includes the police service. The one time i got my yellow sticker, the cop that pulled me over was a really nice guy, absolutely nothin wrong with him. As a few other people have said already, lots of cops don't have much knowledge about cars, and this was the case with the cop that pulled me over, he just "wasn't sure" if this and that were legal. Unfortunately he then called some 'experts' who then proceeded to bend me over the table, stickering me for things like my eyelids, GTR spoiler, etc. Inspector at the pits laughed at them and said i was unlucky. I believe Ecentrix had a similar experience with park lights didn't you dude? But even after that experience, i believe most cops are trying to do the right thing, if you are driving carefully and safely, everything on your car works, and most importantly everything is LEGAL... Then you shouldn't have a problem, most cops will even compliment you on your car, wave at you as you drive past, etc.

Lol i was joking mate haha. But an air flow meter cant accommodate for the huge increase of air that would be getting sucked in if you got a supercharger. You can't just bolt a supercharger on and everything will just work itself out, things need to be updated. The stock computer and air flow meter are made for the stock air pressures, you cant just pump another 10psi in there and expect instant 100kw gains

Lol that reminds me of the above ground parking near Ace Cinemas in Midland. They have those metal things to cover the wiring, but turns out they are also a real intense speed bump. They make them so pointy it is almost a little wall lol
-
This has probably been mentioned a thousand times, but people that give me shit for having a non-turbo. Joking around doesn't bug me, but some people say it as if it offends them that i own it... Im 18, my car is faster than other cars, your car is faster than my car, and GTR's are faster than your car, clearly someone is always going to have a faster car than you, so fuck off
-
Anyone that fills up at BP in midland? All those speed bumps and pot holes and small but steep hills that kill lowered cars in between the BP and the Thirsty Camel? Yeh that area is intense!
-
Lol yeh you would have to fix global warming first, then make sure that the temperature stays exactly the same everyday. Probs a little easier to just get an ECU lol
-
Dude that sounds like an absolute load of crap to me. That much of a gain with no changes to the ECU? How the hell would it know to inject more fuel? You would need to upgrade injectors and everything, stock ECU probably couldn't handle everything it needed to even with a retune, i imagine you would need an aftermarket ECU with a tune, otherwise nothing would work
-
Lol yes! Its terrible there! Yet they rip up the whole highway from the traffic lights to way past the peak and repave all of that Still can't believe i don't spot you haha, im out and about everyday, its not like i lock myself in my house lol. Is it you that locks yourself inside?
-
Yeh i popped mine out without taking off the front bar. Just do as Neuroglider said, worked for us
-
Dunno how many of you have been to Mundaring and Chidlow, that sort of area, but it is fucking terrible up there. And they always fix the part of the road that doesn't need to be fixed, like there will be one little pot hole and they will dig up a 20 meter section of road and repave it all, while 1km further down the road there is a section with pot-holes the size of Europe and corrugations like the alps, and they never fix those bits! F ucking Mundaring shire

If You Weren't Allowed A Nissan What Would You Drive?
Hanaldo replied to Tony de Wonderful's topic in WA Wasteland
I totally saw that car driving around bassendean/ashfield/bayswater while i was on the train yesterday -
Lol i forget exactly how they did it, but there was a lot of modification of the body involved. It doesn't count as an excel at all anymore, its more like one of those dirt rally cars lol
-
Lol as i was saying, there is an Excel with a turbo 5.2L V8 in it. Imagine that power to weight haha
-
Lol nah, im just stubborn and would rather have the car than anything else
-
I drove Tom's GTR... Yeh i want one. Almost sold my 34 and bought one. Decided i would rather have a nice clean car then a bunky fast car, especially when i know it would get me into trouble. Ill buy a 34 GTR as a reward for graduating uni when i do, holding myself to that as well. Lol i was being very very sarcastic about the excels lol... although i know of a 10 second one. But that doesn't count because the only thing that is still orginial Excel is the shell, its got a Turbo 5.2L Chev V8 in it... Yeh fast
-
Possibly your brake calipers hitting your rims? If you replaced your rotors and pads then it would have pushed the calipers further out by a tiny bit, maybe they are now hitting your wheels?
-
Lol ^ You should've just got one of those turbo whistlers, far cheaper. Have you seen their slogan? "Real turbocharger kit = $3000 + installation. Turbo whistler = $19.95... Which one would you buy?". And then you could buy one of those electronic blow off valves. Lol im pretty sure my car has a neo RB25DE, so thats a bonus on the RB20 I fuckin love my car, im perfectly happy with it. Someone else always owns a better car than yours, so im very happy being 18 and owning the car i do
-
Lol Mark i wouldve thought your japanese would be excellent
-
Well i got my mate to put his foot flat to the floor and there was a little bit of play in the throttle, so i got my mechanic to sort that out, and now the gauge reads up to 2. Mechanic said thats likely to be inaccuracy of the gauge, so problem sorted Thanks for the suggestions those who actually said something useful lol
-
Lol yeh i was waiting for them also. Doesn't bug me lol, i give myself shit for an na Skyline... But atleast im driving my favourite car and not some bunky commodore or excel, plus my car is in better condition than a lot of other Skylines on this forum, so tease all you want My car doesn't have a switch for traction control, so if it has it then i can't turn it off. Not interested in thrashing the Skyline either, if im going to do a skid then it will be in my other car. By my estimations, if i had a turbo running 5psi then i would only then be reaching 0 vacuum Might as well fix this problem and pretend i installed a supercharger Ahhh the imagination... Bliss for NA car owners alike. P.S. My comment about excels was not intended to be offensive. Excels excel in excellence.
-
I have never lost traction so i wouldn't know, but through all the gears the gauge only reads up to 5, so i doubt it would be a traction control thing... I also put it down to the inaccuracy of the gauge, but after reading that there are a surprising amount of cars out there that don't ever reach full throttle i thought it may be worth checking out, i wouldn't be surprised if on an 11 year old car some play had developed in the throttle

Sweet as, sounds like its going to be quite a show
