What difference do you think taking the resonator out would make, both sound quality and voise level?

Yes, the main idea is to make it sound better, and louder. But it sounds like its just going to be a cop magnet, and with my other mods, it would cost a small fortune to restor most of the things on it. My only other option would be to sleeve the muffler with a piece of 3". The only real thing they could book me for is excessive noise, so possibly, like you said $100-$200 fine and maybe a point. And the cost of a new muffler. Really it dosent sound like its worth it. I feel like im hooked on the noise drug...

What would i be facing if i removed my cannon compleatly, and put a straight piece of 3" in its place? Also, if i was pulled over with this kind of system what would the punishment be? An instant fine on the spot and being told to put the muffler back on? Or a defect and having to put the muffler back on. Also are defects actual fines? Do they cost anything at all? Or what would a fine for this cost? Has anyone ever done what i want to do, and ever been pulled over for it? Oh, and the system will still include a cat, and a resonator. If that helps...

Morning! These bonnet pads, are they ok to remove? Or, will removing it, put more heat on your bonnet and accelerate the fading process? I dont really know my self :S. And does anyone else do this? Thanks

Very good to hear, thanks . Its running 7psi atm, so that sounds perfect. Apparently the old engine was running 14 or so, you could definitely hear the difference. Probably why it blew the rings+valves.

Hey guys, just a quick one, I got a second hand RB25det, compleatly stock. Put it in, its running 154 rwkw. It has 3" exhaust, electric fuel pump, bov, and thats probs about it. Is this a normal power figure for a near stock RB25? Thanks,

Run no muffler.... cant go wrong. Or just run a little hotdog, and put some straight 3" out the back...

I have a series one r33, with a second hand series two engine in. They found out the crank angle sensor from series two is different. So there changing them now. But is there anything Else I should know? I heared there are some ecu compatability issues?

As chrisR34GTT had already suggested QLDStreetScene.com is where all of townsvillians organise events and cruises. Infact the locals on there want to start up a car club for townsville and surrounding areas. Might be a smart move to work in with thoes guys, but then you end up with 5000 comonwhores (no offence inteded ). I guess we need to know who is interested in attending, and then organise a date, time, location. Could we use the townsville drag stip to our advantage?

wow, after reading everything here, i can relate to it so close. I make the PTSHH sounds diving around. I miss the power, I miss pulling up at lights, I miss going to parties, ah god its all too much.... Withrawals are getting pretty bad now. At least its a good feeling knowing your line is coming back with probs 200 more pony's to play with, and a couple of more gizmoes! Its good to know im not the only person who thinks of there car in the same way lol.

So am I, its on the other side of Australia at the moment. They took the old engine out, put the new one in, and there tuning it now, but yeah all up, 3 months of work... damn western australia lol. It will be in Townsville in 3 weeks probably. Apparently allot of complications..

How long does it usually take to put a new engine in a skyline? Mines taken just about 3 months.... And as ive noticed, life is much duller without my car lol.

I'm pretty new to engines; a highflow is a worked standard turbo is it?

Hey guys, just a quick one. OK, well about 3 months ago, my engine was pissing out black smoke. I got it checked, turns out it was warn rings, valves, seals. New engines in, but it's running rough, and has a bad miss. The engineer's said the turbo off my old engine, was bigger then the turbo off the new engine. So they did a sap on the turbo as well. OK so heres the question, i was told when buying the car that it had a bigger turbo, like a garret (or something). Ive seen this (larger turbo) and it has "nissan" printed on it. So basically, is there a larger turbo for a RB25 that you can buy, that is made by nissan? Also this skyline was running 1Bar when it was going, so I'm guessing it had an ok turbo. Thanks guys!

Regardless of the volume of the exhaust. I think the best sound ive hear is with no muffler. by far....

Could you post a video? Whats a big ass box at the back lol? like a square muffler or something.
