Jase, they are from an Rb25DET.

Yes the AFM and air box is from an RB25DET.

Yes still have the AFM and it is out a series II R33.

Been told by the missus to get rid of the rest of the crap from the conversion, her words not mine. Still have the series 2 coil packs$60 odd each ono, air con $50 ono and the ecu$75 to $100 , air box with air metre to practically give away$75 to $100. No reasonable offer will be refused and can send to you. Probably should mention that the packs come with the metal bracket.

Is that two seats, because you have used the plural.

I have finally got the VL running with the Rb25DET and assisting that is the Microtech LTX12 (found out just recently that a LTX8 would have done the job with less problems) but now have run into another cunnundrum, how to get the speedo to work. I want to use the standard VL dash but its speedo is cable and the R33 box is electronic and the VL cable drive in the box is about 1/2 of the size of the R33 drive. Any and all ideas will be greatly appreciated. Dave

One set of R33 Coil Packs (from late model 95) plus R33 tail shaft with yoke. Both in great condition and worth a lot more than I am asking. $600 each ono.

Thanks Blind_elk, been off line for a bit due to the department being full dickheads i guese. But thats right my packs have three terminals and on the diagram there is only two someone stuff up somewhere. well packs have been sent off to be checked, let u know how things get on.

the computers have been down or at least the departments been having problems with some crap or other so its been a while sinse i've checked my posts or email. I'll give them a go as soon as i get my packs back from being cheched, only been two weeks from last time i was on. Thanks for the heads up let u know how i go.

Thats right the paks are attached to the plugs and are wired direct to cpu.

No not directly but have sent a couple of emails to no avail.

Thanks Blind_elk, this is becoming an ever increasing nightmare, the projected budget has blown out of all proportion and simply can't afford to the car on the road all the help I get is very much appreciated. Have been told to take the packs out and send them to microtech for testing, do you know how i can test them at home before i go to that expense.

But if you look at their diagram there is only two wires on the packs on an rb25 of course there are three. Wish these guys would get it right.

I'll give it a go tonight when I get home, but am trying not to play with the preset parrametres of the computer.

It is a series 2 the computer is supposed to ignite the packs thats why I have the LTX12 microtech computer. you can see it at, http://www.microtech-efi.com/downloads/65.pdf if you wish.

Getting confusing, keep forgetting how my own computer works. There are the six wires for each individual pack (pulse) and two earth wires that join into one which was attached to the heads but i have moved to several other locations to no avail. I have even attached the earth from the packs to the computer earth, still nothing. I have tried to download the wiring diagram to the thread but it is to big, but you can check it out at, http://www.microtech-efi.com/downloads/65.pdf. Might give you some idea rather than my ranting.

The computer pulses the coils or is meant too, the thing is i have pulse up to the packs but no spark at the plugs, plugs are all fine, and I thought I may have wired somthing wrong somewhere. The packs themselves have three wires earth, power and pulse the microtech LTX12 has one main power wire and individual pulse wires(one wire for each pack) but no earth. I have wired the earth to the body but to no avail and because it is an engine conversion can't look for ignitor, even though the comp is meant do all that. Any and all ideas are welcome because I go home and try them all out. found a diagram of the LTX12 wiring for the packs looks easy but nothing happens. Have to find way of posting it is to big.

There is no earth from the computer to the packs, the two wires from the computer are power and pulse the earth is on the packs. Where is the ignitor module located, I was led to believe that the LTX12 controlled all of that.

The CPU was already setup for the engine and it was set for sequential fireing the only other on it was direct fire which is off.

Does anyone know about how the coilpacks on a rb25det fire. Have just wired up Microtech ltx12 but can not get a spark. Everything seems fine everywhere else on the conversion, thouhgt only could be is coil packs. Does anyone know how you can test them.

Can anyone out there help me? I am looking for a R33 wiring diagram for a Rb25det. Have just put in a new microtech LTX12 in my VL which is running a Rb25det but am not getting any spark. There diagram only shows two wires going to the coil packs and of cause rb25's have three. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

09one_32 Apparently different year boxes in the r33's are different sizes. I have a 95 r33 rb25det engine and box in my commy and found out that the imput and output shafts are lager than earlier models. Before the conversion was running an rb20turbo box behind the 3ltr after conversion couldn't find yoke for the rb25 box so thought put rb20box on instead apparently not compatible so I think that the r33box behind the rb20 would also not be compatible, don't actually know just what has happened to me. Am selling my box though.
