    that isn't really anything usefull though as the game hasn't been released yet. it won't be until all the shops start selling out that the prices will start to go up. at the moment all you are paying for is a pre-order.

    Ah yeah true, the prices should go up later on.

    i'm guessing it is slightly limited (probably an inital run but no repeated production runs), but not like 'only a few thousand in the world' type of limited.

    that said, if i start hearing that places are selling out and they are selling in ebay for more than what they retail for, and i happen to go past a shop with one in-store, i will buy it and stick it straight on ebay. one of the joys of living in a smaller town. may may get smaller quantities of stuff, but they also sell out slower.

    There are a some on ebay that have been there for a few weeks selling for about $400. Just search gran turismo and filter by highest price.

    this reminds me! im sure a year or so ago i read somewhere that polyphony were devolping software that would utilise a usb camera and could analyse the players eyes and wherever you tried to look it would shift the view accordingly. i forgot all about this until now actually.. has anyone else heard of this?? or am i dillusional.

    surely it could be done.. although it would have to be a pretty high res camera to accurately track eyeball movements

    I think that its supposed to be the Move camera but i think it felt a bit weird cause you had to move your whole head. Pretty sure it was at Gamescon or something...one of them shows anyway.

    I'm trying to determine if mine is a series 2 or has had bits bolted on. (can't get fog lamps to go on plus a couple of other things).

    04/1996 R33 GTS-t.

    Wondering if the FAST will show for sure.

    According to wikipedia, the series 2 33s started in 1996 and yours is confirmed a 96 model. The series 2 also have driver and passenger air bags, do you have them?

    Vspec IIs were made in 94, not 93

    'X' should be a 'B'

    '7' should be an '8'

    'GT-R' should be 'GT-R.17'

    FAST can sometimes be wrong so at least check if theres black brembos, although thats not a definite answer since they can be swapped.

    You could probably find FAST on ebay, but its usually someone downloading it for free and then selling it....just like the nissan manuals in pdf form. You can download it, shouldn't be hard to find.

    According to this site, if there is a "Q" in the model number (like the one you asked if it was a v spec) then its a regular GTR. If theres a "W" in the model number (like the one you posted that is a v spec) then it is a v spec GTR.

    Just had a look through all the 33 gtrs i have FASTed before, all the v specs say "GTR/V" and have the "W" in the model number. And all the regular 33 gtrs say "GTR" and have the "Q" in the model number.

    about the 10 Gb thing..

    I have an 80gb Ps3, for the last 3 yrs...... i was just wonderring if when u upgrade the HDD in the PS3 to 500GB, can you transfer all your files over, including saved game data??????

    I want a new Hardrive cause my current one is almost full of movies.

    You can connect a flash drive to your ps3 and copy your save data on to that. But some won't allow you to copy it.

    EB and JB also updated the gt5 release dates a few days ago to the 4th, which we now know is true.

    I was going to do the same thing actually, buy a 120gb and put a 500gb in it. But i got the 250gb bundle with 3 games from eb since it worked out cheaper as well. But the first ps3 i got was faulty and had to get another one. It kept making a buzzing sound anytime there was some sort of graphic on the screen. If the screen was black, there was no buzz, as soon as a graphic comes up it starts buzzing. Got a replacement the next day though so it was ok. That limited blue ps3 is for japan only but i think there would be some sort of bundle for aus with a regular ps3. I didn't end up waiting for it since i pre ordered the sig edition :D

    As you said before when you were talking to the guy at harvey norman about the damage, i was watching a video sum up of gamescon and they were talking about how eventually they couldnt get into 3rd after smashing the car a lot and had to skip to 4th gear. The last game i played that had that feature was v8 supercars lol. Just 2 months left now :(

    apparently you will need about 10gb on the hard drive to get the most out of gt5 as far as loading speeds go.

    Do you know how much other games use to install? I think GT5P was 4-6gb and Assassin's Creed 2 is 1.8gb i think. Upgrading the hard drive is so cheap it shouldn't be a problem tho.

    GREEN Plate is attached where BLUE build plate should be or was...

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. A little confused as to why the BLUE build plate is missing or has been removed...

    Yeah the track editor isn't a complete editor but:

    Following months of speculation, Polyphony's Kazunori Yamauch finally unveiled Gran Turismo 5's track editor, known officially as the course maker.

    Rather than being a fully featured editor – a feature that, Yamauchi confessed, was tinkered with but deemed to complex – the course maker allows players to select certain set parameters to create a track. A theme can be selected, with the Belgian High Fens or Toscana two examples, and the individual track sectors are then defined.

    Sectors are edited individually, with frequency of curves, sharpness of corners, degree of topography and banking angle are set with a series of sliders.

    Yamauchi created one for the purpose of the demo, a 10km run through the Belgian High Fens. It was sparse but not without sparkle, with rolling hills and fields and the occasional environmental feature like a small village giving it the feeling of a long and winding country road.

    Karts were also confirmed for Gran Turismo 5, and Yamauchi revealed that originally this was a feature intended for Gran Turismo 6 – but after it leaked Polyphony decided to put it in this iteration.

    We'll have full impressions of Gran Turismo 5 for you later today.

    That was from the IGN report before it got taken down. Still sounds pretty good though :ermm:
