  1. you can't get a rom on rb25's i don't think. How would i know if the gearbox is slipping would a shiftkit help solves this a bit? so you don't think there could be a leak on the turbo or anything Dave? i wouldn't say so but just want to rule that out as i did have to twist it and i have got silcon patching up one of the intercooler pipes. There is a torque convert place near Hyperdrive i may go past there today as well see what they recon
  2. i dono they defently didn't use much fuel as i filled it up before tune and the needle was still on full when i picked the car up. Maybe ill go speak to them thursday when i have a day off see wat they think about it. They don't seem to think it is capable of more HP due to turbo and gearbox thats wat they said when i picked it up
  3. took it for a drive just then it umm hard to expaain think its the limiter and it helps it change gear if you just take your foot of th accelerator a bit otherwise it take a bit longer to change gear Also when i started car up it was a very very laggy/slugish for about 40second maybe it had a bit of water from when i cleaned the car though will see if it happens tomorow morning before walk stupid cars
  4. ohok umm maybe its different for r32 our cooler are on the passenger side and the old intercoolre is all gone. Yeah i figure most people don't both with autos but i brought my car cause its in such good condition and though i'd give it a go at modding I had to rotate the turbo housing cause BHDAVE had a himount manfold or something. Could the seal be leaking since i have done this and cause any problems. I doubt it cause air fuel ratios were good hyperdrive said and seems to hold boost fairly well. Also had a small crack in cooler piping but i patched it up with silcon hosing and put like 4 hose clamps on it (bit of over kill) but i don't htink its leaking
  5. was that with a auto Miller? my car has injector and fuel pump if thats wat your saying, and being auto makes after market ecu a bit hard, i would say the rom tune owuld be just as good anyway which is what i ahve got What do you mean cubes? wat plastic i am a bit lost.
  6. yeah cause it takes a bit of time for it to change gears sometimes so would make it a bit slower. Boost seems to fluctuate up and down at the end of the rev range a bit as well as i have recorded it on my defi gauge dono if that is just from bouncing of the limiter. I will see if it does it tnite as i am not 100% sure if its is the limit. Either way still has got nothin to do with why its low on hp
  7. yeah depends a bit on the dyno though as well some read pritty high. I have never heard of hyperdrive reading high seems they are quiet acurate. Do you have a manaul and rb25 though? I am going to Mayhems thursday he is gona have a bit of a look he doesn't seem to think its right either I have power and hold button on the auto umnm i think the computer learns
  8. yeah it did occasionally just now it takes longer to shift. It doesn't always do it just sometimes
  9. don't think ill spend that much on a boost controler. If its hitting the revlimiter before changed do you think the shift kit would help solve this
  10. yeah i would think they would see it on the dyno. Is there any way i can check this? Miller are you saying it is the boostcontroler that was your problem, cause mine is only a cheap one. (the 22$ one on this site).
  11. i dono have not tried it will give it a shot later,although i don't want to loose the boost setting atm as can be a bit of amission to get it set back right. i would not have though it would be sucking closed. its a Apexi pod filter also i have a right angle bend for the pod so it sits a bit further away from the engine as is closer to the outside air intake but i dont think this would matter either thats the filter i have http://www.modyourcar.com.au/product_info....roducts_id=2604
  12. have you seen the boost line on the graph. it seems to be holding the boost so i don't think it would be leaking then would it
  13. i think its just the rev limiter cause it just sorta doesn't really go or change gear for a little while after it happens and it doesn't always happen just sometimes. My speed sensor on my gearbox is a bit dodgey i think so may be a bit of a problem with that. Ill make sure its rev limiters tnite when i drive it again
  14. the exhaust is 3inch no cat, no spliter in the dump pipe, and has 2 muffler although the rear muffler is pritty much useless as its bigger than 3inch so wouldn't be doing much. Maybe the dump pipe is a problem? or the other muffler in the middle of the car

  16. was that geoffs guy auto? keep me posted on what you get. I also find that at the end of the revrange when it should change gear is sorts backfires and i tihnk its hitting the limiter and take a little while to change. Is this just the auto not being able to keep up? and wil a shif tkit help
  17. yeah brought the car stock a few months ago probaly about 6 months or something. Service it often do all the work myself, yeah have a defi boostgauge. I dono why i would get r33 turbo or r33 doubt that would help. Hyperdrive dyno isn't one of those dyno's that read high so it would be an acurate reading. I have changed the gearbox oil but have not yet changed the filter as gona do that when i do the shift kit. Still have not yet decided on shift kit or not yet.
  18. tune already cost me 800 and the guy recons it made no difference when he put 18psi into it so it isn't worth doing really i supose. It is a safe tune atm so probly best to keep it safe. May just get a shift kit and leave it at that, not worth throwing an more money into the car since its auto, and any other upgrade turbo would just cost too much

  20. yeah fuel economy doesn't seems to bad but i haven't been driving it much only just got tune and been give it a bit of shit just to see wats its like a bit. Ill need another tune if i want to run 20psi though won't I? do you think maybe my dump pipe cause cause problems its just a open dump pipe no splitters. Haha is yours near your exhaust? oh yeah wat you think about heat wraping cooler pipes cause they get prity hot. (the onethat goes past the fan.
  21. yeah does get boost in first, sometimes it shoots to like 1.7 bar for a millisecond which is kinda odd. Spins a bit at the end of first gear. Installed resistor near the brake mastercylinder. Right in the corner of the engine bay. That should be ok yeah? I can't just put 18psi in it can i? its only one of those 22$ boost controler maybe it would help with a better controler. I dono anywhere in perth that could sell actuators may have a look around. Yeah Millar the Hoon they do a good job I have heard only good things and my car does run nice and is faster just thought i should be getting a bit more hp than it is.
  22. i just did it and seems to come on boost a bit better. Not running as much boost as before though i don't think but maybe thats cause its was cold last nite and abotu 30 degrees today

  24. sorry not really part of the thread but is blocking that hole in the BOV a good idea when your running 1.3 -1.4 bar it hought it would just mean the BOV would open up sooner
  25. i am using the rb20 turbo wastegate and have presprung it a bit more by drilling the holes back a bit if you know wat i mean. I am just pluging up the hole in the BOV now as i saw it in the other post on this forum
