Awesome, thanks for the information dude. I'll check out precision shims and get onto it!! I'm in Ellenbrook so I don't know if your close, but I'll give it all a try and if I get stuck I might be knocking on your door
Thanks a lot for the help

lol.. ive installed them into a friends r34 and it makes a lot of difference, quite a limpy idle too beleive it or not, who told u they wouldnt?
make sure you shim the valve clearances correctly to 0.45mm thou as per tomei's instructions
Well just people on the forced induction section thats all....... I didn't know they needed shimming, I was under the impression that they were straight drop in items. What do I need to shim them? Or is one of those things a workshop needs to do?

Putting in some Tomei 260 degree Poncams, I've been told that they're not going to make a difference and are a waste of money..... But I want to give evrything a try and figure some stuff out myself. The only bits I've got left to get is the turbo and ECU, I want to run a ViPEC and a Garrett 3076.

they r very straight forward to install, before you install the gasket onto the block, trial fit all the studs into the block and make sure they bottom out at the same height and make sure the threads are clean, once your happy with that, install gasket and the head, lube up the studs but make sure there is no lube on the bottom of the stud or else it will stop it from bottoming out inside the block, only hand tighten down the studs as per the spec sheet, they will fully seat once you torque it, dont forget to lube both sides of the washers too
i installed some into an sr last week, says 70 ft pounds in instructions so i did 35 first, then went to 70.. backed off 45 degrees on all of them after an hour then torqued them all to 75 simply because i think the metal head gaskets should be torqued down a tad more than oem gaskets
each to their own though
Sweet, thanks for that info mate, we're going to be re-assembling the head tomorrow so I'll let you guys know how it goes!
Cheers

Stock engine could run 300rwkw
you can get them from

Got the head studs this morning from these guys. Thanks for the help guys.

I'll be using a greddy 1.2mm metal gasket, so by the sounds of what you just said I should get the kit. How much work is involved in the main stud kit? Because this engine is not forged, but I am working on another that will replace it that's going to be forged, so I don't want to pull the bottem end on this one apart yet.

Hey guys,
Wondering if anyone can help me out, I'm building my engine and will be running around 280-300rwkw. I've seen people changing their head bolts to ARP studs, does anyone know where in Perth you can get these kits? Also is it really neccisary to change over to studs? If anyone can help it would be appreciative.
Cheers

Cool, some helpful information. Thanks dude

A Triple sound good but I think over kill for you. Bragging rights only and you may not like it in traffic conditions.
Cool, just wondering why it would be overkill. I'm not too knowlegable with clutches so if you wouldn't mind elaborating that would be great. The car will be making around 280 - 300rwkws.

Hi all,
Just was wondering if anybody knew if a OS Giken Triple Plate and flywheel suited for a R32 GTR would work/suit my RB25DET gearbox? I've got an opportunity to get one but I'm just unsure if it will fit.
Cheers

Hey mate, this might be a silly question, but would this fit a RB25DET gearbox by any chance.

Bump..
Hey man u interested in selling those guards? I pm'd you but never got a reply.
-
Do it right and get a 6boost dude they're awesome, $1200 bucks and it will be perfect for that turbo.

Does anyone have the part number for R34 GTR front fenders? Looking at doing a GTR front end conversion on my 4 door 34. Thanks.

Thanks dude

So I've been playing around behind the dash of my car and I always wondered why my one didn't have the triple cluster, anyway I found a screen behind there. It must have never been hooked up cos I've never seen a screen come out of the dash
So my question is..... What does it do? Can I utilise it for anything , such as AV inputs for a screen or to display information like the MFD does in a GTR?
Thanks

Cool thanks for that man. So basically Low Impedance is the go for an anftermarket ECU as I understand it.
-
Hi guys, looking at purchasing my Injectors soon. I'm going with Sard 650cc top feeds for my Neo, but I don't know what this whole impedance thing is about. I'm still learning while I'm building so any help would be greatly appreciated.
I understand that it has something to do with the type of ECU your using, and for me that will be ViPEC, so yeah if anyone can help that would be great.
Cheers

Hey guys,
Got a 01 TJ Magna Solara Auto for sale. Car is a 3.5L V6 and has done 186xxx km's and runs perfectly. Will post pics on request.
Has 18'' Rodney Jane rims on it with new tyres on the front and about 50 wear on the rears. Cat back 2'' exhaust system that gives it a growl and a K&N Panel Filter.
The car has some minor work that needs to be done, such as a little bit of painting around the rear right tail light, but I can organise this if it helps with the sale, and a stereo head deck needs to be installed, which I could also help with.
I'm looking for around $3500 but I am open to offers.
Car is located in Ellenbrook WA.
Cheers

Hey guys, been searching the forums but can't find a clear answer. I want to remove my intake cam gear, on my RB25DET Neo, so it can be cleaned and painted. Ive got a cover off the front of the gear but then it seems there is another bolt or something behind that, which I can't get loose. Is there something I'm doing wrong or should I just quit being a pussy and turn it harder.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yeah the 25DE have 20 boxes in them, I was searching around about 6 months ago and checked out a few and all of them had 20 boxes.
-
As far as ive read from other topics while i was sourcing injectors, RB20 & RB26 use top feed injectors. RB26 just need a resistor pack when fitted to RB20 motors.
RB25 & RB25NEO motors use side feed injectors, so no they wont work.
I dunno mate, 99% sure they use top feeds, maybe u got ur info swapped around. But anyways I cant get these so it doesn't matter any more. Lack of funds.
Good luck with the sale dude
-
what engine do these suite? i've got an rb25 neo would they fit? and have they been used?
-
I may get slapped for asking.......... but by any chance will these fit an rb25 neo? Cos they're top feed also as I understand.
Headstuds

Sweet, hope I get mine working soon
I contacted precision shims via e-mail and the dude called me while I was at work asking for some measurements of some stuff but I couldn't write anything down because I was in a mad rush working. Going to have to have the engine with me and call him and measure what he wants measured.
I got the head studs installed and head on. I want to torque it all down but I don't know if I'll need to take the head back off to do cams? I wouldn't think so but can someone confirm for me.
Cheers
