  1. Could be the same thing thats wrong with mine. Gudgon pin loose in the piston. Since youve had the car do you know if its over heated at all. If so theres a chance that in dooing so the motor has draged the piston in the bore thus damaging it. Im about to go to a RB30 conversion and I just waiting for it to give up the ghost. Spoke to a very good mechanic and he basically confirmed this with mine

  2. It'll cost you time, a bit of brain power and beer(thats for me). Not everyones in it for the money. You'll have to organise a meeting. Taking out the dash is nessary and then I can modifiy the back of the bottons. Theres a bit of fiddling to get the botton positions right. Have you ever taken out the dash ?

  3. Hey Guys and Girls;

    I solved this problem with the slimline number plate mounts about a month after I got my R33 typeM. What you need to do is duck into a good mountain bike shop and buy your self two Minora water bottle holders and use the stainless steel mounting brackets to mount the plates. The bracket is exactaly the right width for the number plate holes and the bracket bolts straight onto the type M bar mounting the plate right smackbang in the middle of the center bar section that runs in the middle of the large opening of the bar.

    Hope this helps

  4. Hey GiJOr33

    Might be a bit late now but there used to be small spark plug cleaners avialable that ran off your battery. These have a small sand blasting mechanism in them containing a very fine abrasive grit in them(zircon sand i think). I know cause i have one and the work a treat on platinium tiped plugs. I not long ago went through what you went through cause i have a big problem with throwing out perfectly good $26 plugs at a throw.

    Hope this helps and contact me if you got any questions

  6. Hey guys ! I wonder if you can help me with head ID for my RB30 conversion.I got two heads. Ones a RB20 turbo(i think). I think its a turbo head by the valve sizes and individual port runners for each intake valve. Now heres the problem i got another head brand new, totaly bare. The valve sizes seems the same , maybe slightly larger but the bottom of the heads are different. There are more water jacket slots around the combustion chamber on the brand new one (which looks exactly like the head pictured with 62.2cc marked, in the Rb30 fact sheet) So which head is it ???? Im stumped ! Any help would be apreciated

    Thanks Guys.

  8. have to understand that bigger AREN"T better, in most case, it is worse.. :thumbdwn:

    Hey Dude;

    i got my 600x300x90 into my r33 s1 typ M and it was a bit of a bitch. Had to mount it flush against the air radiator removing the original aircon thermo fan and built an entire new bonnet catch mounting bracket. Then i mounted two thermofans on the front of the cooler. You might get the 970 in if you are prepaired to hack away the entrie bumper suport brackets but then you have to watch out for the headlights and such. I say maybe but you better do a lot of measuring befor you start cutting.
