  1. not on an M35 mate. no key lock. unless its hidden!!! maybe ill have a better look under where the button is. might be a keyhole like my honda had

ohh yeah ill come past and show you the car this week. meant to do it last week but lacked motivation at work... mostly to even be there lol

EDIT: checked and the manual override works fine. good for the moment, at least i can still use the boot now!

all i have to do it find out where the problem is, i guess a relay or fuse..............

  2. Hey Guys ... I know this thread started like 3 years ago but I have the same problem with my M35 Stagea. Luckily it has the small hatch (which works) and the manual release inside.

I haven't taken the car to an electrician yet as I am trying to see if it is some fuse or relay blown. Does anyone know where these are located for the main boot.

    Info:

    1. the release button doesn't appear to do anything for the main hatch

    2. have checked all fuse I could find (by drivers foot, under bonnet by battery)

    3. have to really slam the main hatch otherwise doesn't shut fully (normally motor pulls shut but not working)

Any help would be greatly apprecicated before I resort to the auto electrician.

    Grant

i know this is old. but thanks you just saved me tearing the inside of my stagea apart!

And did you find a fix?? mines doing the exact same thing!!

    cheers!!

  3. grrr a few little problems with this car! this one could be my fault, but i hope not.

anyway, went to open it the other day, the lock wont make a sound, funny thing is the glass still opens fine! is there a manual opening for them??

has anyone had this problem before? what was it? i havent checked fuses all that carefully, but i found the 70 million fuses behind the battery under the cover. a bitch to get to unless you remove all that plastic from above it!

just wish i knew what they all did! lol

any help would be greatly appreciated

    thanks!

  4. its all good i took it to the yard that sold me the car, they hooked up the consult and reset the code. it WAS the AFM/temp sensor like i thought it was. no biggie

the reset technique above didnt work on my car for some reason.........

  5. i dont know if this will work. but for other people that search in this section, i foud this in the V35 section. ill go outside and test it very soon:

    Do this:

Turn ignition on (dont start it)

    Wait 3 seconds

Press the accelerator down fully and release it 5 times within 5 seconds

    Wait 10 secs

Press and hold the accelerator down fully for 10 secs (at the 10 second mark the engine light should start blinking...

Now it will blink 10 times slowly and then blink the error code...

To clear the codes press the accelerator down fully again and hold for another 10secs let it go wait 10 seconds and turn the ignition off.. This will clear the codes.. but wont stop the light coming back on if there is still a fault somewhere.

You can download the workshop manual from 350z-tech.com it tells you all about it and the codes and what they mean.

  6. hahah thats exactly what i removed :P

and nah its not pit, it has a larger check engine light with a pic of the front of the car etc.

thanks both of you for the reply. ill check out the V35 stuff and see what they have

ill chuck on the consult tomorrow when i can find the software. might tell me if i bumped a sensor plug etc.

  7. ok so today i removed the airbox in the hopes of fitting my spare apexi pod filter. it didnt fit :bunny:

anyway, so i put it all back together again, no parts left over. kicked the engine over and it started. great!

went inside, came back a few hours later to leave, and took off and noticed the check engine light was on! ahh stupid me, i didnt plug in the AFM again!!

so i plugged it in again, kicked it over, light didnt go off. had to drive anyway, even with the light on, the car drives normally! but the light is pissing me off

anyone know how to get rid of it?? its platered over the tv screen too with some japanese writing. if its not related to this, could it be the service interval thingo??

if only there was an english version of this tv stuff

  8. hahaha im finding that i want to drive it everywhere too!!

in coffs i stacked the back end with furniture for my mother. fitted no problems. ended up fitting more than i expected!

i think i should have asked for a different interor colour. the beige is a little bland in colouring. i mean all over the dash and console area. looks dated. or maybe im just used to all black from all my other cars....... still extremely happy!

and pixel youll be happy as this weekend! i didnt sleep the night before i picked mine up. yeah im a kid when it comes to cars

  9. All I can say is...

    ENJOY THE WEEKEND!!!!

and did i ever!!! i found every excuse in the book to go for a drive lol

i cant believe how happy i am to drive a wagon after coming from RWD SR20 powered cars.

this thing hauls ass! anyone that is interested in buying one, get one, youll love it!

i cant post pics because the 'weekend drive' took me to coffs harbour and back so now its filthy but ill get some up next weekend after a wash. might do it during the week when i should be at work. *cough* yes im getting sick. damn......

  10. +1 for checking engine and gearbox mounts.

also the turbo will make a flutter sound and not shudder with that condition and wouldnt affect the entire car like that. BUT with the air surge, this may affect the AFM metering and might make the engine shudder if it gets more fuel that its supposed to. maybe check the factory BOV is working. block up the return pipe (with something you can again remove) and see if the prob is still there. but id be checking other things first.
