what do u mean by "Just a rule ppls Never pull your foot off the throttle try and keep it neutral. " mine is an automatic ... so what happened was that it was raining and was really wet .. i pressed the accelerator to hard and it shifted back a gear and turbo kicked in ... understeer .. damn pole was in the way ... someone call 911 ...

well i do have insurance luckily but i dont' wanna charge too much cause if i do that then my premium will likely rise much more that what i could afford ... so keep it low for now ... but yeah there are lots of parts i need to get ... or the crash repairer has to get ... i have spoken to the crash repairer and he is very much on my side so if i wanted anything aftermarket or mod then he will do it for me and charge the insurance LOL or i could even ask him to charge for a brand new intercooler but give me a used one and give me the change to pay for my excess LOL :lol: ... but i just want a normal working skyline ... nothing fancy ... its already got a full hks exhaust system ... i dont' care about much else also another thing is i've seen this guys work and he has a few gtrs at his workshop along with ftos and toyotas ... since i crashed my left corner of the car, does that mean that he will just cut off the front corner and weld on another?? is that how crash repairs usually work?? thanks for the help guys ... i love this forum

LOL you are all really funny ... made my day the reason why i ask this is that i crashed my car .. front left corner ... and hit the back let wheel onto the gutter ... this really reputable crash repairer gave me a quote to fix the car ... but quoted me brand new nissan parts i think and thats why its so expensive ... and thats why i'm askin to know the difference between new prices and second hand ... other prices were: driveshaft: 1100 grill: 255 rear axel: 600 theres quite a few more on the list, what do u guys think?? and would it be still ok to get second hand stuff?? just wanna know if the stuff will still be workin in say 3 years time thanks

all i know that the wheel was bent .. i mean about 45 degrees ... so i dont' know if it just broke off or bent ... yeah .. pretty embaressing LOL ... to prang it first time i drive it

just hit the pole on the front left corner of the car .. and just broke the headlight, and intercooler pipe as well as surrounding area, and also back wheel on left, not sure it i damaged the axel(dont' know if its called that) or not ... cause i hit the curb pretty hard on the back left wheel ... i only just got insured for 2300 a year ... what do u think will happen to my premium now??

well i pranged mine .. it was raining and wet .. i'm not experienced with turbo cars so i hit the accelerator a bit to hard while overtaking and totally understeered it ... hit a pole ... probably about 8k worth of damage the crash repair guy said ... luckily i had signed up with insurance the same day ... but still my premium is going to go through the roof now thinkin of selling it when i get it back

hey my car is the same as urs jimx ... except i have mspec sideskirts and spoiler .. can't tell if uve got them : ) anyways it turns out the sound systems is totally f***ed up and i have to do the whole lot ... gonna get pioneer 6x9 4 way ( or 3 way .. only 20 bucks diff so probably get the 4 way, do u guys think thers much diff??, i dont' wanna put a sub in my car .. i cant be bothered) and get some pioneer 2-way splits, ... the head unit ... well what i plan to do is get the cheapest jvc mp3 head unit available for about 300 now and then upgrade to pioneer later ... what do u guys think??

my car has been at this compliance place in SA for about 2-3 weeks now ... and they have yet to get the car compliance done ... and they keep saying that the compliance plates have yet come in from canberra for the car ... you know those green plates they stick under the hood ... from ur experience how long does it usually take to get the plates in?? and how long does the process usually take from the day the car comes into australia?? thanks

gonna pick up my car soon which just got imported and complianced... i need to know some good car detailers around which are also not too expensive .... any recommendations?? and how much u think it would be to remove all minor scratches which would of happened to the car on its way here? and also what the detailing involves to, like cleaning the seats and stuff?? thanks

my friend just imported a skyline for me, its at one of them compliance places, i can't get to it now cause they're waiting for some green sticker to stick onto the car to say its ok, but its in the post so it shouldn't be much longer, my question is do them compliance people put number plates on the car for me or do i have to go get it myself?? and do they register my car for me too?? i can't get in contact with my friend doing it for me ... thanks

okeys .. another question, i dont' know much about cars, i just think skylines look good .. so i dont' know much about car alarms either, what do u guys recommend for a secure alarm system... and another thing, i have friends with sports cars and they say its a really big hassle cause their cars are always getting broken into, even when they think they park in secure places, what is your opinion on this matter as well as your experiences?? thanks again
