was wondering what the snow button does on an automatic? heard that it was good for the wet? can someone tell me the difference between the power button, snow button and the overdrive?? thanks

where can i get my computer remapped?? and how much does it cost?? considering mine is an automatic ... can u get remapped auto computers?? will it improve feul efficiency by much as well as performance??

so what u are saying that the most probable reason is that my front suspension is f*&^ed?? ... my car is also lower at the front by about maybe 3 cm.

i noticed that my steering is a bit off now .. what i mean is when i hit a bump the wheel turns by itself ... and sometimes when i brake the steering wants to turn by itself too ... not too hard ... just slightly ...its not a wheel alignment problem cause the wheel turns with the wheels ... i haven't checked my steering fluid yet but i will do that later ... do u guys think this is a suspension problem?? i don't have much money right now ... i was wondering what u guys thought of monroe shockers cause i can get them cheap ... and maybe some progressive springs ...what do u guys think??

yep i agree .. do not convert wmas to mp3 .. or vice versa ... it just gets shittier and shittier the more you do it ... so i say for best results ... only 1 conversion directly from a cd ... or download a new one from the net ... have any of you guys compared the mp3 quality between pioneer, alpine and jvc?? what would u say is the best?? and maybe bang for buck?? thanks

yeah last time i went to some audio shop and stuck a cd full of mp3s in and the alpine didn't work ... so i think alpines dont' handle cdr's too well ... most probably the really cheap ones ... try something that you know will give a better reflection of the disk ... i know its hard to find out which ones do, maybe cdrs with an opaque back might be better, i dont' know ...but i guess its the only way ... alot of the cds which are made are from the same manufacturer anyways ... just rebranded ... and different dye colours ... i also stuck the same cd in a jvc and they worked flawlessly, didn't try any other brands .... hope that helps ...

is it ok to stick an auto in first then take off til u reach a high rpm, say about 7-8k, go up to second, reach a high rpm again then stick it in drive reach a high rpm then press the overdrive?. my mate reckons that its not good for the transmission and can screw it up. Is he correct??

i went to the movies last week and noticed this new game ... it was non other than Initial D ... with 2 machines link up to eachother ... i was wondering if anyone here has had a go since it was too packed when i saw it ... wondering if its a good simulation or its too arcadey to represent real life physics ... can't wait to get back there ... i wanna try some gutter drifts in that 86 ... not that the cartoon represents real life physics :lol:

yeah i've got lots of funny noises going around in my car too ... like funny tap tap noises when i'm changing from a particular gear ... but it sounds like its coming from the rear ... also i think some panels are loose ... are there any tips for reducing these things or to finding out what is causing these noises?? thanks

i find that i'm using alot of feul, most of my driving is city driving, i've read much on the feul consumption threads, my question is in regards to automatics, do they differ much from how u drive it to get the maximum efficiency?? Also what are the tips when driving to save on feul, currently i rev up to about 1-1.5krpm (i think) in first, then always change gears at about 2krpm til the last gear, and when going about 60kmph revs about 1.8-2krpm, 80km revs to about 2.1-2.3 krpm, these figures are quite rough... my acceleration is not fast either and is just like any car u see ... i think i only get about 300km per tank ... what am i doing wrong??

well i've just looked my tyre on the web and it seems to be a winter tyre, ie good for snow ... so perfermance in normal aussie conditions wouldn't very good at all is what i'm assuming... it can be found here: http://www.geocities.co.jp/MotorCity-Circu.../9381/MZ-03.htm i think i really need new tyres, does anyone know how much i should be lookin for, for 16's??

this is a topic im quite interested in, the tires i got on my rear are quite different from normal tyres sold here ... i've been told by my mate that the tread on the tyres are usually for rally on gravel roads ... and so they are not so good in the wet ... most probably the reason why i get very very bad traction in the wet ... i've already had an accident ... how much should i be paying for above average tyres that work well in all conditions?? i have stock 16" rims ... thanks

well i dont' think u will find many other company who will insure you, and thats about the rigth price that all of them charge. so yeah, i wouldn't be expecting much better. also try young and cool ... my experiences with them so far have been pretty good ... i can recommend them ... i also have many friends with just cars and they pay about the same price ... even for an S13... hope that helps

well i've not had the car for very long at all ... a month or so ... its an auto so i've got overdrive on and i have what i'm pretty sure is a boost controller knob ... and i usually drive with the knob set to minimum ... and i must admit i do drive it pretty hard at times ... but mostly i try to drive with it in the lowest revs possible ... i do plan to get a check up on it soon ... what tyre pressure do u guys think i should be on considering that they are the standard 16's ... i've also got stock turbo/IC ... full 3" exhaust (i think) and hi flow air filter. thanks again

i am wondering if the fuel efficiency of the car is much better if u set the boost to the minimum ... i find i'm using way too much petrol ... i don't know how much yet exactly my milage is yet but i'm pretty sure its not very good ... i'm wondering if its better to put the boost down if i wanted to go further ... and also any other tips on improving the mileage without any really big major changes to the car??
