since ive not got any numbers yet ... how much powerloss would u expect for an average skyline with average mods say .. pod exhaust ... if u put the boost down 2 psi??

yeah its funny ... but i feel sorry for the excel drivers ... i mean they're only minding they're own business when some stupid *&^% goes and smashes their car for no reason ... people have no right to do this sort of thing

yeah i didn't think it was normal ... then i turned the engine on and then off and the noise was gone ... strange huh??

all i can say is ... learn it first ... dont' start hooning around til u know u can handle it ... trust me i know ..

well i haven't done it yet .. i'm just too lazy to bother about it hehehe .. but i suspect that the intercooler might be loose ... i haven't had a really really close check ... also i can hear this small sound as if air is leaking around the engine sometimes ... is that normal?? like if u leave ur engine off for a long time .. say couple of hours ... is there any sound around ur engine??

yeah i had a similar problem ... there is a plug which connects directly from the controls ... check if that is connected ... and then check the wiring all the way through ... u should find that its probably either not plugged in properly ... unlikely if one mirror is working ... or there is a loose connection somewhere ... but i'd take it back and make them do it ... so u get your moneys worth!!

i got a boost leak .. only goes up to around 3.. gotta get it fixed soon

yeah i agree ... i always never fully floor it unless i have to, cause u know the feel of your car and u know what it can do ... for me i will only speed up far enough so i know if i've won or lost ... which is usually by 3rd gear ... but usually i wouldn't go past 80kmph ... cause it starts to get really dangerous and i already know who's won or lost ...

i know ... 180s are heaps cool ... he is going back overseas and will be looking to sell ... maybe i should sell the skyline and get the 180 ... its one of the new ones with skyline lights .. sell for about 15000 or so ... hmmm tempting

no i don't notice changing gears much at all ... when i'm cruising at 60 i always go up to 1600rpm ... at it stays there ... with OD on that is ... else it always goes to 2600rpm ... for me i dont' notice changing to lower gears much at all ... i'm not all convinced about what you're saying ... although everyone does seem to agree so i'm probably wrong ... which means everyones driving around 60 at 2600 rpm which seems very high for me ...

then there must be something wrong .. cause i just went for a drive ... to cruise at 60km/hr with OD off it revs at 2600, with OD on it revs at 1600 ... thats normal right?? so why would i not have the OD on?? you are reving 1000rpm less hence using less feul ... am i doing something wrong here??

what i meant by that was that he has one of the apexi display things .. it wasnt a the boost controller but that avr thingy ... oh i dont'know .. i always get confused ... avr avc ...av something ...

maybe its just my car but it is different ... it revs higher all the time ... as soon as i press the overdrive it will change gear and this is well below 80 ...

oh another thing ... can u guys with auto gtst's tell me what rev u change gear at for each gear with overdrive off??

ok i will do a test ... i have to fill her up today anyways .. i will use my normal petrol as i always do and i get around 450 - 500 depending how i drive ... i will always use overdrive off when in normal traffic ... say anything below 80kmhr and turn it on anything over ... i will give u guys the results in say 5 days time which is the time it usually takes for me to use a whole tank.
