  1. I want to say thank you to those involved in setting this cruise up , and every one else who attended. It was my first stag cruise which i was made to feel welcome buy some cool peeps. It was made good by a bunch who loved their rides and not them selves.cant wait for the next one. Cheers to every one there! some pics you might wanna see: PS. sorry about the delay but i have just come out of two weeks of hell. (sick and teething 18mth twins + sick pregnant wife who at the same time gives her self a hernia, jumping up to a puking child , and her migraine still persists, and im also bed ridden with flu if i was allowed to lie down. .) father hood moments for cherishing. and she wonders why i have the need for spirited Sunday drives at the track.
  2. hey, I know this a long shot but i need a engine block for a daihatsu charade 1984 g11r ( the single cam , 3 cylinder turbo). I may even consider buying a complete car or wreck. So if some one can help me i would be very grateful. hope there is some one out there.

  6. how does caltex pine ave , glenelg nth , 8.30am sound?
  7. Hey , this will be my first stag run so i'm going to try my best to be there. are there set plans as yet for the southerners? i'll be leaving from Glenelg ,so south gate is a bit out the way. An Anzac stop would be easier If there's no Anzac stop then i'll head to south gate.
  8. after more investigation , the real story is to modify the existing housing to accommodated a garret ball bearing spool. doing this changes the housing dimensions by 16mm. To then have this fitted requires more modification to the cast air pipe and a lot of d#%king around. The end result is better than the normal high flow option. But the normal option being a far less complicated procedure, that has proven its worth time after time. Not being overly keen to make things to modified i'm going to take all your advice and go with the standard high flow option. Thank you everyone for their input . I have also decided to install an e-manage ultimate at the same time. But none of this until the front mount is done which is booked in for Monday week. The rest will be depending on how fast i can find another turbo to be high flowed before the car is taken off the road. Can't afford to be to long with out the family car.
  9. Ive spoken to bill and he will remove and fit the turbo but he sends the turbo to Sydney to be high flowed. I been offered the same service for less coin. $1000 less which cant be ignored.
  10. To clarify , they gt28 was given as one of two options. The other being high flowing. Neither were given given preference from the tune shop. They expressed that both options were comparable.they said the gt28 comes with a adapter kit making it a fairly straight forward fit. The gt28 will work out more expensive but i wont have to wait while my turbo is high flowed. They said both will give the same sort of performance. the car is the wifes daily drive but why shouldn't she be going fast. Lag is a concern of mine.
  11. hello all, i go by the name chopps. I have a 2001 m35 rs4 and want to upgrade the turbo. i am aware that i have the option of high flowing the existing turbo. And what is involved to get it done, with a rough idea of performance gains. I have been asking around about options and been told that a garret t28-64 can be fitted with performance results comparable to high flowing the original. I want to know what people have fitted to the VQ25-det and with what results? What are peoples ideas and experiences? Does any one have a better option than the ones i already know about? Who has fitted any other turbo and what is their honest opinion's? I would be grateful for help so let me know what you know! Cheers
  12. Well last week the m35 was fiited with a custom 3inch stainless full exhaust, high flow cat, and magflow muffler. As a result, i now need a boost controller to keep check on boost levels. this is booked in for next week. I have also replaced the stock 17' rims with much better 19's. and plan new suspension with the intention of lowering the car. if any one knows what suspension works on the 2001 rs4's can you please let me know!
  13. cheers for the welcome Chris. Ive got a 2001 m35 rs4. and i was kind of hoping to have had it on a dyno before the 14th for a proper tune and make sure all is well. noticing the hotter weather is really having an effect on the performance. seems like a tuning issue to me. so if you know any one who knows their way around a m35 and a dyno let me know. but as far as catching up with others i'm keen as. need all the advise i can muster.
  14. I have just bought my rs4 which is stock so not much point putting on the dyno. but wouldn't mind catching up with other stagea owners. so i'll be there to spectate if thats cool with those organising and holding the day?
  15. Yeh I'll be keen. Let me know where and when. Keen to catch up with other stag drivers.
