  1. Cool as! I love the finished product, that was very well done mate. I lack the knowledge on this subject, so can you please specify what the "supplies" were? Also, my workmate next to me (yes, I am at work with nothing to do) suggested you may use playing cards around the rims instead of wrapping up the rubber like you did. This would mean less work for you and would prevent you from spraying paint on to the floor. I still prefer the way you did it though. Thanks for the thread, it'll come in handy, no doubt.
  2. No need to insult people mate. If it doesn't work for you then don't attempt it. There is no reason to disrespect others.
  3. Very interesting link there hrd-hr30! I got down to about 20% of it before I had to take a break. Heavy read, no doubt, but in the best interest of our own health we should all take the time to read it if we are considering motorsport. Who knows? Maybe the RTA's next raise of the safety standards would be that everyone in every car, bus, taxi, train and ferry will have to wear a helmet, just to be safe. Driver education? What for!? Forking out more money in more repetitive tests should be good enough...
  4. I love all the knowledge displayed in these forums. You rock mate!
  5. 1JZ engine, my apologies, it's a straight six rather than a V6. I feel like an (_(_) The quarter-mile time was 12.56. I will try and get the car specs.
  6. Also, a good Australian time zone server is Khaz'goroth. You can organise or join raid parties which usually start from 6:00 PM onwards.
  7. I quit playing around six months ago shortly after the second expansion was released. You can now go up to level 80, there are stupid numbers of instances to do as well. As for bags, you can buy up to 28 slot bags but they do cost a bit. You will find apart from the epic mounts that you knew there are also regular flying mounts, epic flying mounts, snow flying skill (this costs 10K gold) and 25K epic snow mounts (these are usually mammoths) which can only be used in the new frozen continent. Judging by the time you've been out you only know what used to be the old world, added to this is Outlands (first expansion) and the new continent which I forget what is called. Making 1000g is easy, but these days it isn't much. Mining is still the most profitable profession out there since Jewelcrafting also uses ores. There are two new races, Blood Elves and Dranei. The third expansion will bring on two more. The first "Hero" class, the Death Knights are almost impossible to kill on BG's and have practically outclassed Warriors out of tanking, so if you're looking at raiding or PVP then DK's are the way to go. These things out-aggro and out-dps warlocks and hold aggro better than most tanks (unless they are geared to their teeth). It has become easier to acquire epic gear, but of course, there is epic gear and there is epic gear. The best stuff still drops at raids which are still on average four hours long. In conclusion, I would advise you not to re-start WOW unless you are prepared to invest obsene amounts of time trying to catch up and unless you spend an average of 23 ½ hours a day playing you will NOT control the server economy. There are players out there with well over 500K gold. The servers belong to them.
  8. Hello everyone, Here are the results for my mate's car. 1995 Toyota Soarer - 2.5L V6 Twin Turbo 1 second 5.56 m 2 seconds 21.25 m 3 seconds 42.50 m 4 seconds 66.81 m 5 seconds 94.17 m 6 seconds 125.42 m 7 seconds 160.14 m 8 seconds 196.53 m 9 seconds 236.25 m 10 seconds 278.19 m 11 seconds 322.36 m 12 seconds 368.75 m 13 seconds 417.36 m Awesome!
  9. My best suggestion to you is to see a panel beater. These guys would have to adjust close to 50 sets of headlights on a weekly basis (this is based on my experience as the office guy at a panel shop). If they do not know how to adjust your headlights properly you may then try and source a manual for your car on the internet. You should have not trouble finding these, thought they might be in Japanese. Hopefully they have pictures! :b
  10. Sweet merciful God, why do you give bread (money) to people with no teeth (taste)?!?!?!
  11. 260.64 Km/h in 8.279 seconds! Does the driver change his underwear after each run? LOL!
  12. Hello Guys, My mate here at work came to me with a set of figures produced by his friend's newest toy for drag racing. This toy is apparently a computer you plug on to your cigarrette lighter on the car and somehow (I am sure there is at least one more cable he isn't telling me about) this computer measures how long it takes for the car to reach each interval of 10 Km/h. Then he said to me, that the car to win the drag race is not necessarily the fastest car at every point of the race, so he wanted to know what was the distance covered by the car at different time intervals rather than speed intervals. And so, thanks to some vague memories of high school physics and the geniuses on the internet who seem to have an Excel formula for everything you want to do I produced the spreadsheet I attached. All you need to change is the values on the coloured cells (i.e. time taken to reach each increment of 10 Km/h, what time intervals you want to find [1 second, ½ seconds, etc]); everything else is automatically calculated. I have protected the spreadsheet so you don't accidentally muck up the formulae, but you can unprotect it without the need for a password. You can get a lot more detailed information from computers already available in the market which you can take from your car and plug into USB on your PC...shweeeeet! But if like these guys all you have is speed increments and times, then you can use this free spreadsheet that I put together with the assistance of the most awesome Excel geeks in the planet. By the way, the figures on the spreadsheet belong to a Subaru WRX STI VIII 1997 (stock standard). Have fun, and keep racing. Velocity.xls
  13. Crap, I can't believe we are being spammed by gold farmers in a forum totally unrelated to online gaming. This really makes me mad.
  14. Dear me! With a post like that I really can't wait to see the photos. Bring them on!
  15. Definitely, Toyota makes cars of good quality, but they are boring and crappy-looking.
  16. Hello everyone, I am in the process of buying my first Skyline (my second Nissan ever). I should have it in the next day or two. A Supra enthusiast, I test-drove one and decided the interior was rather small. I decided to test drive an R33 GTSt because the interior looked bigger than that of the Supra. The car was recently brought into Australia from Japan (no Aussie rego yet) and has no mods apart from a huge exhaust system. Upon driving this thing I was instantly converted. I can't wait to put my name on the rego paper. Then I came to this forum as I have a friend who has been a regular here since 2002, and was impressed by the vast amount of good information and technical knowledge a lot of the members have. I have already learned, in my short time in SAU, that the most expensive engine oil is not always the best if you will not give it the use it was designed for. And that was after 20 minutes!!! I am looking forward to spending a lot of time here, and hopefully with time I will be able to contribute and lend a hand to others just like you are helping me.
