    another way to check thermostat is take it out and put it in boiling water and see if it opens

    if the pedal is spongey try the bleed first but check the flow of fluid out of each nipple could be leaking wheel cylinder if it has drum rears just pull drum off and pull back rubber if fluid comes out replace cylinders. if the flow is slower out of l/h/f and r/h/r or r/h/f/ and l/h/r could be a faulty accumulatoer or master cylinder.

    id stick with the gtr cooler wont see a huge difference with the very slightly bigger cooler does the new cooler use the same piping?? if not not worth it.

    just jap coolers are good for price type 1 is a bar and plate cooler they take longer to become heatsoaked than the tube and fin (or type 2) but take longer to disperce heat after becoming heat soaked they also weigh twice as much as tube and fin but they are a decent quality cooler i know many people that run them with no a problem 1 is on a 300 rwkw s15
