  1. hey i was wondering if any one has had this problem before that way it may be a little quicker to find the short. i recently flooded the engine bay of my gtst when detailing the engine this cased a major drain in power. after trip to mechanics found that 5th cylinder was misfiring (although car was idling smooth it only happened under load.) so 6 new spark plugs, dried coilpacks, cleaned cylinder 5. picked up car from mechanics everything was fine. if anything probably ran and sounded better then before the incident. left it in the garage over night. following afternoon went to start it. sounded like the starter motor was turning cant be sure but somthing was definitely trying but didnt start. double checked everything and tried to start it again. blew the ignition fuse and smoke came from behind the steering wheel and ignition barrel. went and eplaced fuse hoping that was the only problem. the new fuse blew straight away as well. obviously theres a short somewhere. hoping someone can tell me where
